Chapter 21: I Need You

The next few weeks were hell on Camille after she had left Tamaki sitting on that picnic table in the park. She had immediately went home and thrown away the roses that were half dead, all of the notes, and anything else that had been given to her. Bell was the only thing she could not part with because she had grown attached to the little albino ferret.

Her routine had become almost a dismal as it had been before she had moved to Japan. She would wake up in the morning, go through the motions of getting ready, say goodbye to Bell, and then went to school. School was still the same except that she had nothing to look forward to when she got home and it made it seem more miserable. Her home life was just as bad as it had been. All in all, everything was a wreck. It was almost like she had lost her brother all over again.

Suitors would come to the house regularly to try and shower her with gifts. She locked herself in her room each time someone would tell her that they were there. She refused to leave her room until they left and her parents would be angry with her about it. Lectures seemed to become a daily occurrence and since she had nothing more to take away from her, they could not punish her.

This particular day, Camille found herself laying on her stomach in bed while doodling in a sketch book. A suitor had shown up once more and she had locked herself in her room to keep anyone from dragging her out. The paper she was doodling on had become littered with pandas, stars, cats, and anything else she could think of to draw to pass the time until the idiot left. Bell had taken up residence on her lower back, curled up into a ball there to take a nap. That was until her computer notified her that she had an email.

She blinked in surprise and looked up at the flashing notification on the laptop sitting at her desk. Nobody had tried to contact her since Tamaki had sent her several emails to try and persuade her to change her mind before he went home. She had assumed that he had left for Japan and given up to be with Haruhi, something that Camille was happy for because at least the two of them could be happy. She could not give him what he was looking for because she had started to realize that she was not capable of loving anyone anymore. She was broken.

Pushing herself up from her laying down position, Camille sat up to stretch. Bell slid off her back and landed on the bed with a confused chirping noise that made her giggle slightly,"Sorry, Bell. I need to check this." She apologized before rubbing the top of his head and getting off the bed to pad over to her computer chair. Upon sitting in the chair, she clicked on the flashing notification to scan over the email.

Hello Camille,

I hope this message finds you well. I know it is a bit odd for me to messaging you when I haven't in such a long time. I found myself wondering what you were doing and how you were doing. I regretted not being able to see you off at the airport when everyone else went, but I had some important business to attend to regarding my plans to fix this situation. That is why I am emailing you now.

After finding out what happened with Tamaki, I wonder if you are still wanting to go through with my plans. I know you don't know what I have set up, but I was wondering if you really wanted to come back to Japan after that situation. Please let me know if you are wanting to leave still. I'll be waiting to hear your answer.

Sincerely,

Kyoya

She blinked rapidly at the email and even read it several more times before she shot up from her computer chair. "Who does he think he is?! Of course I want the hell out of here!" She sat back down in the chair before she hit reply and furiously started typing out a message to him. Before she hit send, however, she found that he was logged into messenger and she could just talk to him here.

Camille: Of course I want out of here! This place is like my own personal hell. I would rather deal with both you and Honey-senpai after you have been woken up than stay here.

She hit send and then waited a few moments. Part of her was nervous to see his response or if he would even reply to her at all.

Kyoya: I just wanted to be sure before I did anything. No need to be so mean ;p

She smiled slightly when she saw the winking smiley face. It made her happy that he was willing to take a joke rather than get offended about what she had said.

Camille: By all means, please go ahead with your plans. I've been wondering if Tamaki was your plan to get me out of here, but now I see that it is not the case. What has been taking so long? Get the lead out of your pants and get here to take me out of this place. I need you.

Nervously, she hit send. Those last three words caused her to feel a little anxious. It was true. She needed someone and the more she thought about it, Kyoya was the perfect person to help her out. They may have had a rocky start, but she was starting to realize that things between them were not bad at all. He understood her, helped her, tried to keep her out of trouble, and was one of the only people she could call her best friend at this point. If she was bold enough to say, she would have told him that he meant more to her than she was letting on. It was too soon to say that she was in love with him, but she was very close. It was just hard for her to admit it to herself because she had been alone and broken for such a long time now.

Kyoya: Be ready for anything I have planned and please trust me.

Camille blinked and went to reply to him, but realized he had signed out of messenger. There was no point in sending him an email to ask what he meant and she was growing tired. It would not hurt for her to have a nap, would it? She had been having trouble sleeping and needed some way to pass the time until the suitor would leave. They usually stayed for a while to talk to her parents before giving up and coming back some other day. They never seemed to give up.

She moved over to flop down on her bed once more, laying diagonally across it before grabbing Maki-Chan and hugging the stuffed panda to her chest. I'm so broken and I'm not even sure I can love anyone. Am I really worth the love of another or am I too broken? Why would Kyoya want anyone like me anyway? I only bring trouble to people and I only inconvenience them. Maybe I should give in to my parents' wishes and pick someone. His plan may not work anyway and I need a plan of my own. With those thoughts, Camille fell into a dreamless sleep.
