※ Irene's Pov ※

There was only one question that still lingering in my head.
Where the hell am I?

In my view, I assumed that we were in an abandoned building based on the exterior we were seeing right now. It was kinda messy with broken wooden planks, glass shards and cobwebs everywhere on this level. Hence, it was also covered with vines on the walls. Is this building already been abandoned for like fifty years or what? Honestly, this place would be a perfect hideout for criminal or a rogue mutant if possible.

Katelyn decided to check on our current level, analyzing the structure and anything that might be able to give advantage to herself. After all, we were here for a discussion with my truly hacker/friend, Daniel. While waiting for him, I decided to refresh my memory on what I learnt about her. From what I know, she was an orphan and also a mutant (obviously) like me. She joined Decepticon after-maybe before-the accident in the convenience store.

After that, she went kidnapping me when I was trying to accomplish my personal mission by gaining information from Knockout. She also knew about my family's death and already recognized me as the daughter of Adam Kanzaki; the President of Kanzaki Corp. What was more shocking was she also participated in this nonsense game.

I could guess that her mission was to capture me but at the same time, I need to capture her to accomplish this personal mission. This wasn't really a mission for both of us. In fact, it was just a game to see who would manage to get their target first. Unfortunately, I was defeated when I thought there was no one else except Knockout.

That was truly a rookie mistake; never lower your guard.

But I was still curious on when did she received that card? Does she receive it before I do? If she did, then she might had already planning it out properly and . . . using Knockout as a bait. It might be a coincidence of her knowing my location on that night. Hence, I could see how close they were when he didn't scold her for using a nickname on him.

Slowly, I was able to arrange the pieces together but it sound truly impossible if she really did that. Soon, I was snapped out from my thought when Katelyn let out a chuckle while glancing at me over her shoulder.

"Did you able to figure out my plan, Kanzaki?" Katelyn asked, slightly turning her body sideways.

"You aren't an ordinary mutant, are you?" I questioned. "Depends on which one you're talking about." She answered, placing a hand on the hips.

"That day, you didn't accidentally blew that convenience store. In fact, you used it as a distraction for me. That card was sent to you early; maybe weeks ago if I'm correct about it. This plan of yours was already been set properly before my arrival to Jasper. To make it better, you joined the Decepticon by showing your ability as a mutant and use them as your pawns, didn't you?" I explained, causing her to smirk at each words I spoke.

With that, I continued. "Your ability isn't only fire manipulation but also have an ability to control technology. I'm guessing that's how you manage to hide yourself from the government and even my best hacker. Hence, you also use it to control the Cybertronian to follow your command especially Knockout. Am I right, Katelyn Jackson?"

In response to that, Katelyn burst into a fit of laughter while wrapping her arms around her stomach. "As I expected, you're really a smart girl!" She exclaimed, and then calming herself. "Yes, I did control him and use him as a bait. I just make things easier by slightly changing his memories. Hence, he was the one who you fought first, so why not using him to attract you? After all, you did place a tracker on him, didn't you?" Damn, she really looked different when someone figured out her plan. I was also quite surprised, knowing she knew about the tracker I placed on him.

Now, I knew why I didn't found Knockout in the cave on that day. She had the tracker to herself.

All of these were just a part of her plan.

"How does changing his memories is able to help you?" I questioned. Come on, Daniel. Where the hell are you?

"It does. With the fake relationship I created, I'm able to get any information I want from him. He is totally the easiest target I could find." Katelyn answered.

"That Human isn't normal."

I think I started to understand what does Knockout mean when saying she wasn't normal. He might already noticed her skill of controlling any Cybertronian but with her ability to manipulate his memories, he would always forget it and then remembered it once again. It was a never ending time loop. Other than that, he might be conscious deep inside of his mind as his body moved by itself due to the command he received from her.

He was nothing but a puppet to herself.

"If you're questioning about his consciousness, then yes. He's fully awake but like all puppet do, I control his movement and speech." Katelyn answered my unspoken question. "You're just an amateur. How did you manage to reach this level?" I questioned, narrowing my eyes at her. We just met in few weeks ago and she already learnt to mind control those Cybertronian with her second ability.

She was about to answer my question before a loud noise appeared out of nowhere, almost shattering our eardrums. We screamed in pain but it was totally a disadvantage for me especially when I wasn't able to cover my ears due to the handcuff. The noise was too loud, causing cracks to appear on the wall and floor of the abandoned building. I thought I was going to be deaf when a pair of hands suddenly covered my ears and my blue eyes glanced over the shoulder, seeing the culprit behind all these mess.

"I'm here, Irene." It was someone else. Not Daniel but a young man which kinda look familiar to me.

The young man placed something, replacing his hands to protect my eardrums from the noise. He stood in front of me and I gasped when his hand went hovering above the handcuff, destroying it into pieces. The pieces fall to the ground as I started to feel relieved for regaining my ability after a few hours. My hands rubbed against the wrists, losing the soreness before the young man placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Let's go." He gestured to escape but I halted him.

"Wait." I spoke, causing him to raise an eyebrow with confusion. I have something to finish up first. With that, I turned and approaching the flaming girl who was still laying on the floor while covering her ears. The noise had stopped but I could see the blood on her hands.

This was what you get for kidnapping me, bitch.

I crouched beside her, shoving my hand to each of her pockets as she didn't had any energy to fight back except shaking due to the sudden attack she received. "Found it." I whispered, pulling out her own card. My eyes stared at the content, reading it before tore it into pieces. "You lose, Katelyn Jackson. The game is over." Her red eyes looked at me with a glare even though it didn't look threatening as before.

After that, I turned away and returned to the young man, who was waiting for me. "You don't want to kill her?" He questioned, still raising an eyebrow at me. In response to that, I let out a sigh. "It's pointless. Killing her isn't going to change anything." I answered, and then stopped. "Actually, who the hell are you?" He smiled at my question and rested a hand on the left side of his chest before slightly, bowing like a gentleman.

"Greeting, Irene Kanzaki. You might don't know who I am but I'm an agent sent by Daniel to rescue you. My name is Katsumi." He introduced himself, politely. I didn't know that I had a Japanese agent somewhere in the company. He must be in special team if I didn't see him often or his name on the list.

"I see. A pleasure to meet you, Katsumi." I replied, earning his usual smile at me.

Soon, Katsumi restrained her ability by putting on the handcuff I designed and dragged her out from the building with us. I thought we were in some abandoned area but apparently, this building located outside of the town and in deep forest. From the right side, I could see a jet where he would bring her back to their own headquarter to lock her away until further notice from me.

"Do you need a ride?" He offered, which I replied with a shake. "No thanks. I want to do something first." I replied. He didn't ask any question about it but instead, nodding his head. With that, he left me behind in the forest with Katelyn. I watched them leave before starting my own part by grabbing something out from the pocket of my pants.

"I'm totally sure that this thing have to do something with them."

Not the best chapter but I think I do a good job on explaining Katelyn's secret plan.
