Chapter three
Once Jikan had saw her home sweet home, which was an old apartment building, she ran as fast as she could to the Flos door. Once there she knocked as loud as she could, which wasn't very loud. Inside she heard the two women run to open it. Upon opening it the two stared at an almost crying girl.
"Oh honey." Rose said pulling the girl into the apartment. "Flora told me what happened. Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."She wiped away the away her tears and sweat. "I'm better than fine." She smiled and freaked out at the same time.
"Ji, what do you mean?" Confused by what the girl meant.
"I got to m-meet Eraserhead and Recovery Girl." Jikan almost screamed in her quiet voice.
"Really?" Flora's eyes widened at the words Jikan just said. "Jikan that's amazing!" The girl shrieked as she hugged the her.
When she pulled Jikan into a hug she heard Jikan grunt in slight pain. Her ankle still hurt and Flora realized that. Pulling out of the hug Flora looked down at Jikan's bruised ankle.
"That guy did that, didn't he?" Flora asked sadly.
"Yah... Are you okay? I've n-never seen you th-that scared." Jikan looked at her feet, she may have seemed quiet at the time but she was bottling up her anger. She promised herself next time she saw those two jerks she was going to punch their lights out.
"I-I'm f-fine." Flora stuttered before tears started to fall down her face, trusting men was hard for the green haired girl.
"Oh girls, sit down. I'll make some tea." Rose rushed to the kitchen to make them something to calm them down.
The two friends sat on a dark blue coach in silence, each other knew that it had been a long day. Looking up at the newish TV that sat in the same room, Jikan smiled as she thought of something. This always made the tears go away.
Jikan quickly stood up and went to the TV, asking a simple question. "Hey, Disney or Rom-com anime?" her voice just loud enough for the girl to hear but it still put a smile on her face.
Flora laughed slightly, "Kiss kiss fall in love." was all she had to say before Jikan's face lit up. Jikan quickly popped in the, very scratched from overuse, dvd of an anime that made them feel better in hard times. After the screen lit up with the animated flower petals, Jikan jumped on the coach making it slightly creak.
Rose watched as the two girls laughed at the things on screen, they had done this many times. It was amazing that the two were so different but had such a close bond. They two had become as close as sisters, it felt like she had another granddaughter. When Jikan had first moved in next door, she was so timid barely said a word to anyone. The first full conversation they had with the young girl was after about three months after the woke up to her screaming her lungs out at 2:00 in the morning. They pretty much had to break the door down just to make sure she wasn't getting murdered. When they found her, she was crying her eyes out on her bed. From that day on they made sure to help and encourage the girl in any way they could.
As time went on she broke out of her shell a little, mostly because of the show they were watching at that moment. When the grandmother and granddaughters found out that Jikan had a passion for things like all animated things, lots of music, and anything that had to do with UA, superheroes, and quirks. She wasn't as big of a nerd as Deku was, but since her parents pretty much forced her to be quirkless the idea of people having powers amazed her. She had read many history books of how people lived without quirks, that was pretty much how she grew up. She loved to imagine what people in history that didn't have quirks would be like if they did.
The Flos family also learned that Jikan had some weird habits and things she did. One of which that they could never understand was that Jikan was always counting the seconds, minutes, and hours. The thought it had something to do with her quirk but they were never sure. At random times they would just hear the girl counting under her breath. She was always on time and knew exactly what time it was when she was counting. It seemed to calm the girl along with animated things, thinking of different superpowers, and especially music. Music seemed to be one of the only things that could calm Jikan down if nothing else worked.
Rose looked at the two girls huddled together under a blanket singing the theme song of the show they were watching. Jikan wasn't singing too loudly, but it was loud for her. She smiled thinking of how many time the two had done this. Five years really seem to go by fast. Rose watched the two until she heard the tea kettle start to scream.
The girls loved watching this, they had watched every episode almost fifty times. Flora was really glad that Jikan introduced her to it, along with some other romantic shows that she had watched. Flora then looked over to her friend who was next to her, her eyes sparkling at the TV.
"Hey Ji?" Flora said getting the girl's attention. "Promise me something, okay." Jikan nodded unsure. "Don't ever give up and think we aren't there for you. Okay?"
Jikan was confused by why her friend was telling her this, but it didn't really matter to her. She promised with that sparkle in her eyes that Flora never wanted to see dull like it had when they first met. It had taken her almost two years to see that sparkle every once in a while, almost four years to see it almost every day. No matter what it took she was going to protect this girl and help her learn to protect herself, so that sparkle never dulled again. Whatever was in the past, was the past. That past was not going to take away Jikan's future. This is what the green haired girl told herself, even though she knew she might never be strong enough to make that happen.

As the sun was slowly starting to come up, Jikan woke up in a cold sweat better than screaming herself awake but still not great. She was somewhat confused to where she was before remembering that she fallen asleep at Flora's apartment. Looking at a wall clock, she noticed it was 6:10 in the morning.
"Morning Ji." Flora yawned as she walked into the room.
"Mo-" Jikan started before she heard a knock at the door.
"Who the heck would be knocking on our door at 6:00 in the morning?" Flora said slightly annoyed being that she wasn't much of a morning person.
"Coming!" Rose called as she quickly rushed through the apartment, but sadly the older woman crashed into a plant causing her to fall slightly.
"Grandma, are you okay?" Flora asked as she went to help the woman up off the floor.
"I'm fine, oh Jikan dear do you mind getting the door it might be a customer." It wasn't too uncommon for people searching for different kinds of medicine to come at odd times. The Flos' customer were all from different walks of life just trying to find medicines that weren't too expensive and able to work almost instantly.
Jikan nodded slowly, she straightening her sweatshirt and skirt she wore from the day before then walked over to the door. She slowly opened the door, which revealed a man she hadn't expected.
Standing in the doorway was a tall, buff, blonde man that wore a familiar blue, red, and white outfit. He gave the shocked young girl his usual smile, sadly this didn't calm down the girl it instead made the girl faint. He couldn't even say his catchphrase of "I am here."
"Jikan!" Both the grandmother and granddaughter cried as they rushed to help the young girl. They laid down with her, ignoring the fact that the most famous hero in the world was standing in their door way
"Is she alright?" All might asked, this isn't the first time that people had fainted in front of him I mean Midoriya had pretty much done the same thing.
"Flora, Ginger Mint." Rose said to the girl, with those words a small leafed plant grew out of the Flora's wrist. This was her quirk Plant Index, every plant she has ever touched the genetic makeup is stored into her body and with a single thought it can grow out of her skin.
Once the plant had fully grown, Flora plucked it from her wrist and put it up to Jikan's nose. After a few seconds of the plant being under her nose, she started to stir. Her eyes finally fluttered open but was still a little unsteady.
"Welcome back to the land of the living." Flora said trying to get Jikan's attention, but Jikan continued to stare at the symbol of peace that still stood in the Flos' door frame.
"Um... Mr. All might if you don't mind me asking. Why are you here?" Rose asked the number one hero.
"To give Ms. Miru this!" He said in his normal excited tone, as he showed a packet of papers on top of a pile of a few clothes.
"What's that?" Flora asked.
All might cleared his throat, "Jikan Miru you showed fantastic heroine in front of UA. Your quirk is powerful and can be used for good. Along with your written test," Jikan's head snapped up.
"What written test?" Jikan asked quietly confused.
"A written test was sent in for you, it was completely led out and it was one of the best score in the class." Jikan gave a look at Flora who smiled brightly.
"I knew you wouldn't take it on your own, so I tricked you into taking it and sent it in."
"Now to the reason I have come." All might cleared his throat again. "Jikan Miru, If you will accept it, welcome to UA's class 1A hero course." The three women's eyes widened in shock, they figured she got into UA in some way but not class 1A of the hero course.
"Cl-class 1A of t-the h-hero course?" Jikan asked, causing All might to nod. With this little nod, Jikan to faint again.
"Does she do this a lot?" All might asked looked at the now again passed out young girl.

Once Jikan woke up again she was now laying down on the coach, she quickly remembered what happened and turned her head towards the now closed door. She fell back down on the coach trying to figure out if what had happened had really happened.
"He left about a half and hour ago." Flora said as she sat on the floor in front of the TV. "He left your stuff and grandma's looking over the paperwork. She told him that she's been taking care of you since you moved here, so she's going to sign for your parental guardian. Your new uniform is on the kitchen table." Flora turned around and smiled brightly. "I'm so happy for you Ji."
"Jikan honey, are you up?" Rose asked from sitting at the kitchen table.
"Yah."
"Do you mind coming over here, I need your help with this."Jikan slowly got up along with Flora as the went over to the table.
"What do you need help with Gram?" Flora asked as the two girls leaned over her shoulder, the sheet in front of the woman was a sheet for designing a superhero outfit.
Flora smiled at a very embarrassed Jikan, before Jikan grabbed the sheet and walking very quickly out of the apartment. She came back a few minutes later holding the sheet and a small sketch pad. She sat down the sketch pad and flipped it to a specific page. On the page in purple, gold, and black was an outfit along with some accessories.
The outfit was a gold hoodie with a glass hourglass like thing in the middle of the hoodie. The skirt was a pyramid brick pattern with a light gold color. Purple, gold, and black pair of raised running shoes with hourglass symbols on the sides. Some of the accessories were things like a black stop and regular watch. A belt with some different pockets and an infinity symbol in the middle. A pair of gold leg bracelets, and a gold bracelet with something that clips open. Lastly a pair of simple blue earrings that are Bluetooth so she can listen to music.
"T-this is what I want." She said quietly as she tore the page out of the sketch pad and putting it on top of the sheet of paper.
"Okay then." Flora smiled as the three made up all the papers.

Once everyone in Class 1A of the hero course had entered the room, there was one lingering question that filled each one of their minds.
"Why is there an extra desk in the classroom?"
As the class begin someone finally had to ask the question that everyone was thinking, and that was Iida.
"Excuse me Mr. Aizawa, why is there another desk in the classroom?" Iida asked in his very professional way. This question caused Aizawa to smile, which was the primary cause of half the classes nightmares for the next week.
"A new student is joining your class tomorrow." And that was all he answered even is other asked.
Almost everyone was confused, and they had no idea what to expect the next day. It was going to be interesting.
