Tyler broke away from the embrace still crying, his teary eyes darting at the ring and back at Josh. The man didn't hide his tears, he smiled proudly through his tears, the most genuine smile lit his face. He was truly happy, Tyler was too. They were oblivious about their surroundings, cooped up in their own happy bubble till loud cheering and a wave of applause burst the dome. Tyler flinched, his cheeks turned in an even deeper shade of red when he noticed the crowd of people surrounding them. Tyler hid his face in Josh's chest, the man kissed his curly hair and smiled at the cheering people. He was so damn proud. Tyler was screeching internally, even though it was something he should be happy about, the curly haired boy couldn't help himself but shake from his upcoming anxiety. 

"Baby, you okay?" Josh dipped his head down to kiss Tyler's cheek

"No..." the boy shook his head, top teeth sinking into his lower lip "C-can we go? I don't like it here, there are too many people."

"You're safe with me," Josh's arms snaked around the boy "Just don't look at them, okay?"

"I can't...." Tyler clutched Josh's shirt, his eyes fixated on a certain blonde woman

Fires of fury and hatred bubbled in the narrow slits of Debby's eyes. Her face was surprisingly calm, one would say that the girl was happy. A small smirk was curving the corners of her mouth making the woman appear rather cheerful but deep inside anger boiled in her gut, rivers of hot lava, twisting and churning her gut. That whole anger wasn't directed at Josh. Tyler could feel the angst seeping out of Debby and crawling up to choke him. If anything, Tyler was the only person that the woman was staring at. Dark glance frozen still, like a snake seeking its prey. 

"Joshua," the woman cleared her throat

It seemed that they were standing there for ages. The crowd had already dispersed leaving the three of them standing awkwardly there. Jared and Charlie had left the perimeter and hidden a safe distance away from the blonde snake. Jared's head peeked from the other side of the fountain, Charlie yanked the boy down to make them look less like stalkers even though it was a tad too late. 

Josh turned around quickly, his body tensed up as if he had been shocked by electricity. Tyler grabbed onto Josh even more and shyly looked at the blonde girl. 

"Hi..." Josh murmured, Tyler felt the man  shake and suddenly his embrace didn't feel so safe anymore

"So," Debby smacked her lips "You left me for...For this?"

The woman gestured at Tyler, palm pointing upwards. The boy sniffled, he really wished his anxiety wasn't so severe so he could say something snarky. Only a weak grumble left his lips, it wasn't very intimidating. Debby found Tyler's attempt to stand up for himself pathetic. who wouldn't? Tyler was a grown man, hiding behind someone else's back because they were afraid of confrontation. 

"What do you want?" Josh groaned 

"For you to realize how much better I am than this snotty goblin." the woman yapped

Tyler felt his little heart shatter. He clenched his fists, Josh stopped him from striding forward and wrapped his arms around Tyler's waist even harder. 

"Don't-" Josh murmured into Tyler's ear 

"But she's-" Tyler inhaled sharply "Fine."

Josh smiled at his love warmly, his face turned stone cold the second he glanced at Debby.

"If all you have to offer is insults then no thank you." Josh scoffed "What do you think you're going to achieve?"

"Oh come on," the blonde woman flicked her hair off her shoulder"Can't you see that you're doing a big mistake? What does he have what I don't? I should be the one-"

"If I started listing all the things Tyler had that you didn't it would take me the whole day." Josh snickered "Leave, Deborah, we have nothing to talk about. This is pointless."

"You cheated on me!" the woman screamed after a long pause, the people who were just casually passing by slowed down their pace wanting to find out what was the tea

"This is a personal matter," Josh hissed "Deborah, keep your voice down."

"No!" the blonde stomped her foot "No I won't. Everyone deserves to know what kind of filthy liar and cheater you are!" 

Tyler turned his face away, he watched as Jared stood up from his spot with a jolt. Charlie grabbed the boy's arm trying to stop him but the blond didn't listen. He yanked his hand out of the girl's grasp and stomped across the mall towards the three arguing people. 

"First, you stop paying attention to me completely because of your fucking job," Debby fumed "And then because of your fucking job I lose my boyfriend. I lost everything! I-"

"Oh, by everything you mean Josh's wallet?" Tyler finally found the courage to speak up "Must've been really tough when you realized that you won't be getting that titty lift you dreamed about?" 

"You, shut up." Debby pointed harshly, the numerous golden bracelets clanked softly against each other. The woman was beyond angry. She wasn't angry because Josh left her, the woman was mad because she had lost her main source of income. Josh had the tendency to give people money and buy them expensive stuff on a daily basis. 

"Debby, listen-" Josh started

"No!" the woman cut him off "You listen to me. Either you leave this trash monkey and come back to me or I will tell everyone about your little affair. I will tell everyone, I'll ruin your life. "

"Oh please," Josh rolled his eyes completely ignoring the woman's threats "It's not like you have a clean slate yourself. Are you just gonna pretend that you weren't banging my brother when I was out of town?" 

Debby's skin went pale, she swallowed thickly and tried to defend herself but there was nothing there to add. She was guilty as hell. 

"And I didn't say anything because I was patient and I didn't want to drag my family into this." Josh let out a pained sigh "But it still hurt because you were fucking my own brother, for heaven's sake!"

"Well..." Debby bit her lip, she was defeated and the only thing that she had left was insults "You know this all wouldn't have happened if not this little slug kept his distance away!"

"Okay, that's enough." Josh snapped "Don't you fucking dare insult Tyler, how low can you go? If you have nothing else to say then just go! Turn around and get the fuck out."

Tyler quietly watched as Jared strolled past them. The boy didn't even feel how tears started rolling down his cheeks when the woman started insulting him. He clutched Josh's chest with both of his hands and silently cried, more and more insults reached his ears. Josh tried calming the woman down politely but that kind of tactic didn't seem to be working. 

"...And you're useless," Deborah spat "When Josh's done with you, he'll just throw you out like a diseased dog-"

"Alright, enough!" Josh's voice echoed around the mall

The man took a step forward wanting to take action but Jared was faster than him. He had already planned everything ahead. Debby's brown eyes widened when she saw a fist coming at her face at an incredible speed. Jared punched the woman across the jaw earning a startled squeak from her lips. Jared staggered forward a bit, the force of his punch carried his body a few feet forward. The blond stayed on his feet meanwhile the blonde woman fell over. 

"Jared..." a horrified whisper left Josh's lips

Tyler's eyes widened in shock, Charlie covered her mouth but couldn't help herself but smile a little. An amused smirk appeared on Jared's lips as well. He shook his tingly wrists and looked around. 

"What kind of man are you!" a random lady snickered as she walked past "You should be ashamed of yourself!"

Jared smirked even harder, Charlie ran up to him to check his reddened knuckles. Everyone must've forgotten Debby because all four of them walked away leaving her on the cold floor with a shattered jaw.

"You could've gotten yourself in big trouble," Tyler whispered angrily

Jared's glance slipped past Josh who was talking to Charlie a few feet away. They were making big hand gestures, possibly discussing what happened ten minutes ago. The boy could faintly hear his name slipping out of both of their mouths. 

"Hey?" Tyler snapped his fingers in front of the boy's face "Did you see that woman's reaction? She was ready to tear you apart."

"So what?" Jared chucked to himself "At least she called me a man."
