(3rd person)

A boy in a white jacket with black linings was seen on a hill over looking a desert landscape with a barrett 50 cal. He shot two guys who were walking about the battle field like they owned the place. He then found his next target.

(Soku P.O.V)

I was looking through my scope and found a girl with cyan hair who also had a sniper, but she was oblivious to the three guys behind her. 'Here we go'. I shot one of the three guys and the other two along with the girl were on high alert, I shot another one that tried to stab her before she could turn around. The third one tried to run 'if you are going to do something don't run when your friends are in trouble you idiot'. I shot him in the head, the girl had already turned around but she turned back quickly to try and see me, I was already behind the hill though. I looked at the board of people left in the event, the event started with one hundred and was now down to ten people. Problem was that seven of the other nine players were female. 'Man now I have more of a chance to lose'. I grabbed my gun and went to another hill, five people were in the center of the battle area. I looked and all of them were female, 'seriously!!'. I turned around and walk off, about five minutes later I found two guys fighting each other, I shot one. "What the f-"

Then the other one died too. 'Too easy'. I turned around, only to jump away from a blade. I looked up and saw a girl trying to swing at me, I jumped bad and kept doing that. "Why aren't you shooting at me?"

Me:"I don't hurt women, not even in VR."

???:"I'm actually a guy, the game just made my character look more feminine, it's quite annoying."

'In that case'. I shot at him and he dodged my initial shots. 'Fine then'. I went to my special gun and he seemed confused. "How are you shooting without any prediction lines?"

Me:"It's a special gun, no one uses it because it shakes too much to even think about aiming and it has poor distance as well."

Guy:"Then why use it?"

Me:"Because you can't trace the bullets since there are no predictions and no one expects it."

I continued to fire but he still got lucky on a shot here or there. He seemed to track the bullet based on angle alone. 'Now that is skill'. As I fire another shot a bullet almost hit me. I looked over to see the cyan haired girl from earlier. "Well I guess we can continue next time, your really skilled at predicting though."

Before either could stop me I forfeited the event and it kicked me out. I looked to see that those two were the only two left in the duo event. 'I prefer solo anyway'. I looked at the time, 'aww man, only an hour left before I have to log off'. I was about to enter another event when I felt a hand on my back. I turned around to find six guys standing there, each one I had killed in the previous event. "So your the one who took use out, now losing is one thing but when the person who beat you forfeits right after, that is unacceptable."

Me:"I don't care what you think."

Man:"Well we challenge you to a stand o-"

Me:"Fine, I'll even use this and only one round."

I showed a revolver that had six bullets, one for each of them."haha, prepare to lose, you have five minutes."

I walked out to the street and waited for them. I looked at my gun, a six shot revolver that can't kill with one shot. It may not be much but it is more than enough for this. 'Only down side is that I won't have time for another event'. I saw them walking down the street, two had M4's, two had an SMG, another was dual wielding desert eagles, and the last one had an UZI with an extended mag. "Last chance to wuss out kid."

I noticed the crowed off people, they were all chatting. Thing like 'Six on one? Not cool' or 'well that kid is toast' I smirked at this. I threw the revolver at the guy in the front and ran at them, he wasn't looking and got hit on the head, I picked up the gun and kick him to the ground. "Shoot him!"

I dodged the first shots by both SMG wielders, one got killed by the bullets and the other had only minor injuries. I then kneed the one with the UZI in the crotch before kicking him, he fell to the ground. I looked back to see the desert eagle guy about to shoot and grabbed the guy with the UZI. When the one with the two eagles fired the bullets all hit the guy with the UZI, effectively killing him. While he was in shock I pinned him, I saw the two guys with M4's fire at me. I ducked down and the one with the two eagles got shot and killed instead. 'Already half done'. I ran up to one of the one's who had an M4, dodging his bullets on the way. I reach him and forced his finger remain on the trigger with a pressure point. He tried to pull me off but his M4 killed the other M4 and SMG users in the process. I saw the leader of their group was the one I was holding on to. "Looks like it's just you now."

He looked around to see his friends all dead. I put my gun to his head. "This was a waist of time."

*BANG*

I saw as he died, the revolver can't kill in one shot but since I had kicked him and hit him with the gun earlier he was just weak enough to die from it. I put away my gun and looked around, everyone seemed surprised at my victory. "Woohoo, now that was awesome."

I heard clapping from everyone and smiled a bit, I then decided to log out early. But before I left I saw that guy and girl from the event from earlier.

(Real world)

I woke and a doctor took off my headset. "Your back early."

Me:"I thought it might be nice to get more sleep."

The doctor smiled at me. "Ok, would you like something to eat before bed?"

Me:"Yes please."

The doctor left and came back with a tray with a bowl of soup. "I know it's not your favorite but you need something easy before bed."

Me:"I know Ms.Yuu, thank you."

She smiled and fed me the soup, when it was done she went to the door and checked the hallway. When she came back she moved a napkin that was on the tray to show some pudding. "I also snuck you some chocolate pudding."

Me:"Thank very much."

She fed me the pudding and then put it back on the tray. After making sure I was comfortable she went to the door. "Thank you doctor."

She turned back. "Your welcome, goodnight."

Me:"Night."

Once she left I looked around the room. The same room I have been in for three and a half years, nothing has changed. I had been in an accident before coming here, there was an explosion and I fell six stories. The doctors say I'm lucky to be alive, but I have been in a full body cast since the accident. I'm told I have a chance at a full recovery but I can only move my right hand, not even the whole arm just above the wrist is it. Apparently most of my bones were either shattered or broken, my skull and spine were cracked and I had second-third degree burns. The burns had long since healed, but my spine was still damaged a bit and the only part of my body that was fully healed was my head and right hand. I was allowed into the VR medical program to get my mind off the pain. I sighed and fell asleep thinking about the virtual world.
