Let's blow this popsicle stand
Azira ran from the yard to the dorms and finally stopped at Mal and Evie's dorm. She knocked on the door and heard a faint 'come in' Once she opened the door, she saw Mal in her Vk clothes. She started punching holes in a box while crying. Mal finally turned around and as she noticed Azira her sad expression turned into a concerned one as the two hugged each other.
"Who did it?" Mal asked as Azira sobbed on her shoulder.
"Eliott," she answered, her voice cracking. "I don't want to stay here anymore, Mal. I don't belong here. I just want to go home."
Mal nodded. "Me too," she said before turning around. "I was just going to grab my mom and my things and head out."
"Take me with you, please," Azira said.
Mal nodded. "Grab your things, let's blow this popsicle stand."
Azira nodded and walked out of the room and collected all her things before putting on her Isle clothes, a red, tiger print shirt, ripped blue jeans, and fingerless gloves. She also put her hair in a braid. She looked at herself in the mirror. She reached for the necklace Eliott gave her after their first kiss, rethinking her decision. With a tearful gasp, she ripped the necklace off, threw it onto her bed, and walked out of the room with her things.
Afterward, Azira and Mal rode on the scooter Ben gave Mal. She stopped at the ocean in between the Isle and Auradon. Mal took out her spell book and flipped to a page. "Noble steed, proud and fair, you shall take us anywhere," Mal read before putting the spell book away. "Okay. please work."
Mal started her bike and rode it through the ocean. The girls laughed in relief as they were driving on the water. Both girls gasped as they went through the barrier.
They drove past a bunch of people as they jumped to make way for them. They stopped at a poster of Mal and Ben. Mal took it and crumbled it into a ball before throwing it. She then parked the bike under the VKs old hideout. Azira tossed Mal a rock and Mal caught it and threw it at a sign that said 'DANGER: FLYING ROCKS' The girls smirked at each other as the gates opened revealing a staircase. Mal walked up the stairs before turning around to Azira.
"I'll be up there in a minute, Mal," she said. "I, uh, just have to do something." with a nod from Mal, Azira ran off.
After a bit of walking, she made it to a small cave near Dr. Faciler's Arcade. She walked in, unaware of what she might walk into, but right now she didn't care.
She walked further until she reached the end of the cave where she saw a gray, blue-haired man, sitting on the couch wearing sunglasses. She tried to get his attention but found it hard to.
"Who's there?" the man asked. Before Azira could answer him, he lifted his sunglasses to look at her. Once he recognized who she was his expression immediately softened.
Azira gave him a weak smile. "Hey, Uncle," she said. "I'm back."
~~~
Hades stared at his grandniece for a moment before walking up to her.
"What happened?" he asked. "You were just in Auradon, how did-"
Azira sighed. "I-um-was just homesick. I just wanted to come and see you."
Hades sighed before hugging Azira. Azira never knew Hades to be a hugger but it made her feel better anyway so she accepted it. She hugged him back, a few tears falling down her face.
"Okay," he sighed. "Are you going to stay here or have you just come to visit?"
Azira nodded. "I plan on staying here for a few hours, not really long enough to start to bother you. I'll probably leave sometime later if that's okay with you."
"You can stay however long you want," he told her. "I missed your presence, especially since I heard from the gods that you got your domain yesterday."
Azira huffed silently. "Yeah," she confirmed. "It's fire."
"Hell yeah!" he cheered. "Finally a god who I can relate to, right?"
Azira chuckled. "Right."
The duo stayed silent for a moment until Azira sighed.
"I just remembered that I have to go back to Mal-uh-she came back from Auradon too. I'm sorry, I know I told you that I would stay here but Mal probably needs my help right now, so, I'm going to see you later?"
Hades nodded "It's all good," he said as she left. "Tell her I said hi-uh-without mentioning to anyone why you came here."
Azira smiled, nodding before walking out of the room and out of the Cave to go back to Mal.
Azira walked around for a moment until she noticed a sign that said. 'CASTLE OF THE WICKED.' she sighed, remembering that place and the wicked memories she had in there, hence the name. She tried to turn around until she heard a voice from behind her that made her shiver.
"Lookie here," the voice called out. "It's Mrs. Azira Julidine. Back from the life of royalty, I see?"
Azira turned around to see Harison Westerguard leaning against a wall near the castle. He smiled as he walked towards her. He reached for her chin and lifted it up to look at him.
"Well," he chuckled. "I would say I missed you, but we both know that's a lie."
Azira sighed. "You still sucking up to Elisia or what?" she asked. "We both know why you keep sticking by her. To get whatever she gets as a bargain from others."
Harison chuckled. "And what if I do?" he asked. "Why does it matter to you?"
"It doesn't, but it's a shame that you're wasting your time with her. You would be so much more useful with someone more important than her."
Harison grinned. "Like who? You?"
Azira grinned. "Maybe," she smirked. "But, then again, I wouldn't even want you with me. You're too much to handle."
"Too much to handle, huh?" he asked her. "Did you figure that out before or after our split?"
The goddess scoffed. "That was never a split," she said. "We were never together."
The son of Hans' smirk got wider. "And what about you and Ice Boy?"
Azira's smile faltered at the mention of Eliott. Before Harison could ask about it she shook it off.
"He is none of your concern," she said. "Also...we-we aren't together anymore."
"Oh?" he questioned, amused. "What did he do?"
Great. Now she had to bring it back. She turned away from Harison, trying to avoid him seeing her cry. She just sighed and blinked back the tears. Gods don't cry. It ruins their reputation. She had to remember that no matter how much it broke her.
"That is also none of your concern," she said, trying to avoid her voice from breaking. "Just leave me be."
She tried to walk away but was stopped by Harison.
"Wait a minute, darling," he said. "What did he do?"
Azira was surprised at how quickly his voice turned from joking to serious and demanding. He was just like his father.
"It's none of your business, Harison," she muttered. "Don't you have more important things to do?"
"That can wait, Azira," he told her, his voice becoming more concerned by the minute. "What did he do?"
Azira realized that she couldn't avoid him, and since magic doesn't work on the Isle, she couldn't make him move out of the way, so she just sighed.
"Eliott broke up with me, okay?" she told Harison, not expecting his shocked expression. "He told me that I wasn't good enough for him and made it very clear that he doesn't want to see me again."
She didn't wait for Harison's response as she just walked away. "Now that you have your answer, I have to go somewhere."
Harison was shocked. The son of the snow queen broke up with his girlfriend because she wasn't good enough for him. That was something that his father was capable of doing, a villain. Not the hero, well the supposed hero.
Harison walked after Azira and grabbed her hand, stopping her.
"Did you love him?" he asked her. "Do you still love him?"
Azira sighed before looking away from him. "He has shown me that I don't know what love is. Familial love, yes. But not romantic love. I can't believe I was foolish enough to believe that it would've been."
For the first time in forever, Harison was sympathetic. His father always hated the Arendelle sisters, so his hate for the two cousins was inevitable. Though, he never thought he would have more real care for a girl than they would. It's like the roles were reversed.
Harison sighed. "Well," he sighed. "Why don't I take you where you need to go?"
Azira scoffed. "Really?" she questioned. "What's the catch?"
"There's no catch, darling," he smiled. "I promise."
Azira pursed her lips before groaning softly. "Fine. I'm going to my old hideout. Can you take me there?"
Harison smiled before nodding. "Of course, darling."
As the duo walked to the Vks' old hideout, Harison started asking more questions.
"How long has your hair grown?"
"About three inches."
"Why do you hate Elisia so much?"
"We had a falling out as kids and have hated each other ever since."
"Do you want to reconnect with her?"
"Nope and I honestly don't have a reason to."
They stopped talking once they reached the hideout. Azira picked up a rock.
"Um," she sighed. "Thank you-um-for bringing me here. It's...nice of you to do that."
Harison chuckled. "I hope to not repeat that," he said as he and Azira laughed. "But...you're welcome, darling."
Azira smiled before throwing the rock at the 'DANGER: FLYING ROCKS' sign and watched as the fence in front of the staircase let up. Azira looked back at Harison once more before going into the hideout, letting the fence go down as she disappeared.
