Chapter 7
I walked to school my books held tight to my chest as I ran across the street to my school, I was going early for my Class President duties.
I ran up the stairs to the school to find Jimin leaning against the wall in a small space were I hadn't seen him before. My pulse quickened as I became startled tripping over a step.
"Ah!" His arms swooped down quickly catching me before I could scrap my arm against the cement.
"Still clumsy angel, it never gets old" He chuckled helping me stand up my stomach tightened into knots as he followed me into school down the vacant hallway.
"Why are you here this early if your not a class president?" I asked him noticing a cut on his cheek just below his cheekbone.
"I came to just see you." He seemed pretty straight forward with it stopping in the middle of the hall to take a good look at me.
I could see a few more cuts above his eyebrow and a bruise on the lower part of his jaw.
"Did someone beat you up.." I set my books down and stood on my tippy toes to get a better look at the wounds, they definetly needed some antibiotic to heal properly and avoid infection.
"Let's get you to the nurse office I think theres rubbing alchohol there" We went to the nurses office, Jimin sat down on one of the rubber beds as I searched through the cabinets for the clear bottle or some peroxide.
"Is this what your looking for?" Jimin gave me a clever smirk as he held the bottle of peroxide I hid my smile and nodded.
"Now this might sting just a bit but it will help!" I said cheerfully dabbing some of it on a cotton ball Jimin stood still as I dabbed it lightly on his temple.
"How did you learn to do this?" He spoke admiring my skills.
"My Umma is a nurse she keeps a lot of first aid kits around the house" I finished and placed a bandaid on the one that was bleeding the most.
His arm suddenly grabbed me pushing me against the wall his breathing raspy in my ear making me wonder how we suddenly got like this.
"Yuri.." His voice was pleading as he placed the palm of his hand on my cheek I grabbed the hem of my skirt my heart fluttering all at once.
Suddenly the sound of the nurse office opening made us jump Jimin quickly grabbed my arm pulling me with him through the back door.
"Follow me." He said as we ran to the back gates of the school.
"Are you crazy! I've never skipped a day in my life-"
"No time for whining angel now spread your wings and fly" He lifted me up over the fence I hooked my foot into one of the holes and jumped down on the other side.
Jimin quickly jumped over without looking back once.
He gave me a sly smirk before entwining his fingers with mine I felt my chest getting ready to explode.
The next thing I knew we were running.
Running until my lungs ached with exhaustion and my legs trembled with fear.
We stopped until we were blocks away from the school at an abandoned building that seemed to be an old dance studio.
Jimin led me to a back door before opening it revealing a cozy dance studio.
There was a lousy couch full of juice stains on one side and a lamp a few books in the middle.
"Is this where you sleep?" Jimin nodded closing his eyes humming to himself.
Where were his parents?
He couldn't possibly live here.
"It isn't much, but it's home" His lips formed a smile admiring his small space.
"Home? Does your parents know you live here?" His face tensed as soon as I said parents.
He suddenly fell silent.
"I don't have parents." He said the words without feeling.
I didn't ask any more questions, I knew by the look in his eyes it was better not too.
He cleared his throat as an effort to ignore the awkward moment that had just occurred.
Jimin reached in the small desk grabbing something.
"Since were not in public anymore, I thought I could finally hear this voice of yours" He said casually before revealing a microphone to me.
My cheeks flushed instantly surprised he even remembered last night.
I stared at the microphone in fear.
"I c-can't" My voice shook as I rejected.
I was afraid of what he would say about my singing.
"I'll sing with you.." He blushed hiding his face, afraid that I wouldn't look at him as the cold guy he portrayed to be.
That's because I no longer did.
I took the microphone from him as he started up an old karaoke machine.
Jimin grabbed another microphone and hooked it up.
"I'll let the angel pick first" He smirked showing me the list of songs.
I bit my lip scrolling past the old korean songs and found the american songs upbeat.
"Hmm..I'll pick treasure by Bruno Mars" I tapped the song.
"Good choice I would have thought you for a slow song kind of girl" Jimin snickered as I glared at him.
The song came on and instantly Jimin moved to the beat making me laugh at how silly he looked.
"Pretty girl, pretty girl you should be smiling" Jimim sang the first verse his voice and pronunciation smooth.
"A girl like you should never look so blue" This time Jimim grabbed me twirling me encouraging me to dance with him.
I laughed forgetting to sing the next line.
We looked retarded dancing like monkeys on drugs.
"Let me treasure you" I sang along a grin on Jimin's face as I did so.
He was enjoying this as much as I was.
The song ended leaving us sweaty from dancing around.
"You see angel, it wasn't so bad. You have a beautiful voice." He said this time flipping to another song.
This time it was a slow song.
"Now let's see how well you dance" He wrapped his arms around my waist pressing our bodies closely together.
My heart strings plucked as my stomache felt as it was exploding.
It was the way he was holding me that made me rethink my life.
It made me want to get lost in his world.
"Don't be shy, I knew you were a slow song type of girl" He whispered his breath warm and fuzzy on my neck as he rested his head on my shoulder.
We swayed back and forth.
I closed my eyes suddenly not afraid of the icy feeling in my chest, it was suddenly growing into a pit of warmness.
Jimin POV°
I've never been this close to an angel before.
I wanted to keep her in my arms forever.
Suddenly the need to hurt her faded away, restored with the urge to protect her.
Don't let the weight of this world break your wings.
I could feel her heart beat against my chest as her mind seemed to drift, seeming calm in my arms she was at peace.
The song stopped but still we didn't stop swaying with each other.
"Jimin." Her voice was soft and sweet like honey dew.
Yuri softly rested her head on my chest as if signaling me she felt safe with me.
If only I wasn't so broken..but what if this angel of mine can fix what's broken within.
"This is quite a sight." A voice startled Yuri making her remove her head from my chest.
In the side of the entrance Woori was leaning against the wall here phone in her hand a devilish expression on her face.
"You did your job well Jimin, now all I have to do is send this photo to Jungkook and all will be mine" She showed us the photo of Yuri in my arms.
Yuri stepped away from me.
"This was all a plan?.." A hurt look on her face as she spoke.
Suddenly last night replayed in my head after I had left Yuri at rhe resturaunt.
"Just make her fall and you'll get a plame ticket to anywhere you like. Faraway from all your troubles." Woori smiled convincingly.
I had agreed.
All I wanted was out.
I didn't expect myself to grow fond of Yuri.
"Thanks for all your hard work Jimin" It was already to late when Woori hit send.
Yuri looked as if she was about to breakdown in tears from betrayal.
"I should've known...what they said about you turned out to be true" Yuri grabbed her bag her words hurting me.
I was used to being called a low life.
But whem it's from an angel it hits you.
A|N: Short chapter.
