F A Q s
All right, so I figured this one is a must since I'm receiving, no offense, pretty useless and kind of stupid questions so here we go please read them through because those are the type of questions I will not be answering all over again.
1. What is 'The Book of The Week'?
A. The book of the week is one of the member's book that I choose to promote once the week is completed based on the member's participation.
2. How do I get my book to be 'Book of The Week'?
A. You have to be the first one to complete your assignment that particular week, have no strikes in your record or anything of that sort and you may have a large chance in putting your book into 'The Book of The Week' List.
3. What 'Group' am I in?
A. You are under the Group that your name/username is under. You have to look through the update and know where you are, you cannot just sit there and wait for me to point it out for you. That is not my job.
4. Do I have to read all the books in my Group?
A. Yes, It's five members [including you] and you have to read all the other four books that are in that group by the deadline, which is within ten days.
5. What do I have to comment on?
A. You only have to comment on the chapters that I mention next to the member's Book and Name, you cannot comment on more chapters than mentioned you will know why later on. Your comment must consist of three line which is 200 characters long. You can give it a critique or you can just write what you like and what you don't, or maybe even how you feel about the characters and the plot of the book. Honestly, anything as long as you're doing it right.
6. Can I have more of my Books in this Book Club at the same time?
A. Yes, you can. But you will have to be doing double the work in that case you will be in two groups and instead of having 4 members. You will be having 4 more in the other group too, which is a total of reading 8 books, 3 chapters each within 10 days so only put up your second book if you are really dedicated.
7. What do I do if the other members do not comment on my book by the end of the deadline?
A. You do not have to do anything. According to the rules, if they do not complete their assignment they will receive a strike and won't be able to participate until they have completed it and if by the end of the next week they still haven't they will receive another strike until they have and on their third strike will be banned from the club but will still be asked to complete the assignment as it won't be fair to you.
8. What is a strike?
A. It's something a member is given every time they do not complete their assignment and are eventually are banned from the book club for reaching their limit which is 3 strikes.
9. Am I supposed to participate every week in this Book Club?
A. No, you do not have to if you can't. You can simply PM [Privately Message Me] and tell me you won't be able to participate the coming week and I will let you off and you'll be able to come back any other week you want to. You have to tell me Two Days Prior so that I can note it down and put you under the On A Break list.
10. If I quit this Book Club, will I ever be able to join again?
A. Yes, you have to let me know Two Days Prior your leave and also your assignments must be completed before you leave. You are welcome to join anytime you can.
11. Where can I find my group member's Book?
A. You go to My Profile and to the Reading List section. I have named the reading lists after your groups number so you will find all the group member's books over there and if you don't something probably went wrong and you have to just Private Message me and I'll handle it.
12. Why am I in the same Group for the Next Week as well?
A. If you have more than 3 chapters in your book then there's a large possibility you will be in the same Group for a while, I want the members to be able to have the opportunity to read each other's book till the very end which would be great to know how it went and how you're growing, but I can switch you up if you ask me too and I will let you know if there's any other group that needs a member.
13. Why do other Groups have more members than my Group does?
A. I try to group everyone based on the Genres that they do and do not read so some people might not be reading the same Genres as you do and there aren't much members that read the Genre that you do therefore the fewer members. But they come along since we have new members every week.
14. Do I have to subscribe to the Group's Discussion Page?
A. Yes, it is part of the rules [you can find it in the external link on this update, and every other update in this book club, also on my profile and the first comment on this update]. You have to subscribe to get Reminders and Notifications that I do not update here simply because this is a book club for grouping members and I do not want it to be hectic and filled with reminders and people who do not complete their assignments so I made lists in the Discussion Page where everything can be explained and further questions can be asked.
15. What happens if I am 'Book of The Week'?
A. I will vote on all the chapters that your book has and leave a little comment at the end congratulating you. You will be promoted on the Discussion page and the book 'Book of the Week'.
16. You said that people who are new should read the next three chapters [1, 2 and 3], as I did last week. However, this week my group's book have gone up [7, 8 and 9]. So, should I comment on the next three chapters or follow what you have written?
A. You have to read the next three chapters [4, 5 and 6]. Don't jump through any chapters, just go in order. And when the other member's have gone up further [10, 11, 12]. You still move on to the next three [7, 8 and 9].
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask in the comments below and I will be happy to answer them and help you out. Also, I might be able to update them onto here.
Have a nice day,
xox Alaska.
