The Brigade Watty Awards 2016 is a huge Contest run solely by BrigadeBookClub [aka labyyrinth-]. Stories over Wattpad don't get enough recognition and this Contest will solely focus on all the stories that require this very recognition and we're here to help those kind of stories move up. 

This year we will have two Awards for each genre, The Wattpaders Choice Awards and The Brigades Choice Awards. So, there will be two winners from each genre submitted. 

The Wattpaders Choice Awards will be a voting contest between the Wattpad users, your stories' summary will be posted here as entries, and the entry that gets most votes from the Wattpad users wins The Wattpaders Choice Awards. Only 10 stories will be accepted for each genre for this awards.

The Brigades Choice Awards entries will be read and judged by me, not the Wattpad users. I will be the one choosing one from each genre that will be entered for and that would be our winner and only 100 entries will be accepted for this awards.

There will be books that would receive an honorable mention if they came in close to the first Winners.

This is to encourage all people to be able to participate in Wattpad activities more often and for their stories to be recognized. 

The Winners will receive The Brigade Awards Winner sticker on their book cover that will be put there by me.

Participants can apply the sticker below, the link is in my bio and if you do not know how to put it up you can look through the How To Guide on my profile where I explain how to add it to your cover through your phone and laptop in detail.

Rules

✈ last day of submission : 1st of August.
[may be closed before that if all the slots are full].

✈ results : 1st of November.
[may be a little bit later by a day or two in case i get held up, something happens or I have exams so please understand].

✈ books entered will be added to my reading lists. [either the brigades choice awards or the wattpaders choice awards, whichever you choose to enter].

✈ the wattpaders choice awards entries will be posted in this book since it is a voting process.

✈ the brigades choice awards will not be posted anywhere, only added to the list in the next chapter and my reading list as those books are read by me.

✈ one entry per person only. 

✈ you can enter only for one award, either the brigades choice awards or the wattpaders choice awards, you cannot enter both the awards.

✈ i will be checking if your requirements are complete four times. 

i) when you apply, i will be checking if you followed me, added the tags, added this book to your reading list and commented the right form that i have provided without adding any extra details.
ii) when all the entries are full, i will be checking everything again, and if the aforementioned is not completed, you will be eliminated so that other members can get in.
iii) when i start reading your book, i will be checking for requirements once again, if it is not available, you will be eliminated. no new members will be accepted after that though.
iv) before I announce the winners, so that i make sure everything is fair and just.

Requirements

✈ you need to add this book to your public reading list.
[why? because people complain about not getting notifications and then it's my fault i haven't notified anyone. this book needs to be added so that you receive all the required notification, added to your public reading list].

✈ follow me

✈ subscribe to the discussion page, link available in my bio, do comment subscribed and keep track of all the announcements.  

✈ you need to add the tags to your book accordingly, please don't mess them up. If you do, I will give you a chance to correct your tags, if not correct, your entry will be denied.

✈ you have to comment the form i provided in the end and only this form, you will comment the link and title of your book and nothing more or less. if not followed, your entry won't be accepted. i want to make sure all the entries are rightly placed and all the books that i receive are the ones you submitted without getting confused, hence the minimum information.

Important

✈  besides the aforementioned genres, yes, lgbt+ and rated r are also accepted, i read everything, so please don't ask the same questions over and over.

✈ random is not eligible. simply because it is not a written fiction or non fiction book. this is random, this cannot be judged, so please don't be upset about this.

✈ please don't enter for a genre that's already closed and ask me why you got denied, all open genres are stated above.

✈ your story's title can be changed, but you have to notify me.
your username can be changed, but you have to let me know.
your cover can be changed.
your book can be updated even after the submission dates.
your book doesn't have to be completed even after this competition is over.

✈ you can delete your entry.

✈ you cannot change the genre of your book.
you cannot switch one book with another book.
you cannot enter another book after one book has been denied.
you cannot enter again after the entry has been denied.

✈You must have at least two chapters in your book to be eligible for this contest, and yes, prologue is counted. No, it cannot be an authors note or the summary of the story, that is not counted as a chapter. If it is a short story it can contain one part only as well.

✈ The story must be under 250K reads and you must have under 5K followers to enter this contest, I'm sorry, but we want other stories to get recognized as well.

✈ The entry of your book will be posted here, once it is posted, the link to that entry will be given to you, you can use that link to send it to your friends and for your friend to vote on that entry. The votes on your book don't count, the votes have the on the entry. Yes, you can vote on your own entry.

✈ complete all the requirements first and then comment your form to avoid being denied.

Prizes

Winners : A book review, comments on the first three chapters of your book, sticker added to your book as an award, your book will be added to the winners reading list, given a shout out on my profile and a follow.

Honorable Mentions : A book review, your book will be added to the honorable mentions reading list and a shout out will be given to you on my profile.
