POV
Soren
If you have read my pack's histories, then you are familiar with the Alpha and Luna, Stone, and Lucas. If you are familiar with their story, then you should know that Stone eventually did find me, but it took two whole years. I was determined to stay away from him, I couldn't give him what he needed but I was what he wanted, so I stayed on the run. Cole was a great help, in my two-year running spree Stone came close to catching me a least two dozen times.
The first time was during my seventh month on the run, Cole and I were staying at this great place in Colorado, in a town two towns over from Denver, it was close to Lakeshore, and forty minutes outside of this city called Stockbridge. A place called Sweetwater, it was full of humans, but Cole suggested it because it was also home to about a hundred supernaturals, mostly witches.
Cole used his ability on this guy, 'Robert Downs' we met the man at a gas station, he pulled up in a blue sports car, that howled 'I've got money' I watched Cole walk up to the man and grab his arm, the man froze as his gaze found Cole's. "Do you have money?" Cole asked, and the guy seemed dazed as he cockily answered, "Tons." Cole smiled lazily, before continuing. "So it wouldn't be a problem for you to get me and my friend a great hotel... Ren, what do you think, a week... Two?" Cole asked.
"Do you see Stone or the people looking for you on the horizon?" I asked, knowing Cole couldn't always say for sure what was going to happen, knowing sometimes he could only take a peek into the possibilities of the future. "As far as I can see, Stone is back at your old territory. We have some time." Cole said, and I didn't question him.
The man did have money, and Cole held no shame in helping to separate from his cash. He suggested Robert get us a really great hotel room, the man was like a puppet, Cole said Robert was extremely susceptible and further proved it by begging for a few hundred dollars. Robert gave him everything he had on him.
"Can you believe he was walking around with two thousand dollars on him?" He asked as we got into our room. The hotel was so quaint, it seemed to have at one point been someone's home, a mansion. They kept the four-poster beds and the all-around old-timey look. Cept for the flatscreen and the computer that sat in the corner nearest the bathroom.
"I'm in need of a super hot soaking... So I call the first shower!" Cole said, excitably. I always smiled at his sense of childlike amazement at such little things, like cartoons and little corny jokes... I could tell he was finally getting to live, whereas I was slowly dying on the inside, I missed Stone, Mya missed Miro. I wondered what he was doing, where on pack territory he was ... I thought about my mama and daddy. My father and I weren't ever really close, I always felt like he was ashamed of me. After Miro killed my wolf, my father just always seemed to pity me ... I thought if I was stronger he'd see me, but he still just saw a little Omega who he couldn't or wouldn't relate to.
I knew Stone was undoubtedly made Alpha, and I felt pride, but also sadness. I was supposed to be Luna, and because Stone and I were fated at such an early age, I'd already completed my training as Luna. I sighed laying down on my bed, waiting for Cole to finish his shower.

"Ren! Ren! Soren!" My eyes shot open, I had drifted off into sleep. Cole was shaking me, he was dressed and he seemed wild looking. "I-I'm so sorry Ren... It's Stone, he's in the hotel. He knows you're here... Some kind of trinket, a bracelet... It means something to you and him... Magic, it helped him find you... Come on we have to go." Cole said, and I could see the information being downloaded into his brain, it was the way Cole's eyes seemed to go vacant.
"W-what am I supposed to do?" I asked, and Cole came back over to my bed, with our bookbags floating beside him. "Just trust me." He said, he offered me his hand and I took it. Suddenly I could feel a pressure in my head, like when Mya breaks through to speak to me, only when I let her in, it wasn't her. (Gotcha) Stone said.
(Are you gonna piss me off more, by making me come get you or are you gonna come downstairs?) He asked. Cole pulled me over to our balcony, opening the doors, we were on the tenth floor. Even for a werewolf that high a fall would hurt me, a really bad sprain at the most. "Do you trust me?" Cole asked, and I nodded, getting even more scared as Stone's anger leaked into whatever link he'd created between us. (When I get you, I won't hesitate to mark you) He thought at me.
The bedroom doors burst open and I just caught a glimpse of Stone, as Cole and I jumped. We didn't fall, though, we floated down at a safe speed. It was like we caught an air current, and it carried us down to safety. From where I was, I heard Stone yelling, then I felt him pushing at my mental holds. Stone screamed for me to stop, and I was rocked on my heels. Mya tried to force her will over mine, she'd never done that before. (Stop running Soren... We need them... Please... Please... I want to go home... I want Miro... No more... Please) She screamed, and my head felt like it would explode.
"Ren! Hold it together, I need you to focus... Fuck!" I could hear Cole, but he sounded far off like I was under the water of a nine-foot deep pool. "We can't run, he-he fuck! Ren, get behind me." He said, shoving me behind him. I turned around after having to shove Mya back into her compartment of my mind and body. There stood Stone, his eyes red and rimmed in black. He spoke and to my surprise, it was Stone's voice, not Miro's. "Who the fuck is he?" Stone asked. I kept my eyes on the ground, I couldn't find my voice.
"Look, I know who and what you are. But believe me, Soren is just my friend, and if it were up to me, he'd be home, safe at home with you, but it isn't up to me. Soren loves you, and he thinks he's doing the right thing. So just respect his decision and let us go." Cole said, and I knew I loved Cole as my brother at that moment. He'd said everything I wanted to say, no doubt he'd stolen all of what he said right out of my head. Stone made a deep, barking-growling sound in the back of his throat. "You can go wherever you want... But Soren is going back to Mississippi!"Stone said shouting out of nowhere, more rage in his voice than I'd ever heard, it was scary... He was scary.
I looked up and forced myself to find my voice, "N-no, Stone. The pack needs an heir, and we both know I-I can't give it to them. I love you... You know I do, but I'm not good eno..." Stone growled cutting me off, stepping a bit closer, keeping his eyes on Cole. Giving him a threatening look, and he was taller and stronger than Cole, but Cole showed no real fear. "I don't care what the pack wants they don't have any needs... They want an heir, but I need you." Stone said, stepping closer. "Ren, close your eyes," Cole said, and with a mournful sigh and a final glance at Stone, I closed my eyelids. I heard a loud pop like a gunshot, and with a jump, I opened my eyes. Stone was on his knees, holding his eyes and groaning.
"You'll be fine, your eyesight will return in about five minutes. I'm sorry, but he doesn't want to go with you. Come on Soren!" Cole said, he took my hand and started to pull me away, but I hesitated. "Stone, remember me always... When you finally take my advice and move on... Remember me with love, please... I love you." I said, finally letting Cole pull me off.

POV
Stone
I walked into the packhouse after returning from trying to find Soren. With the bracelet, I bought him the trinket for his tenth birthday, and Uncle Philip was able to create a bond-strengthener. It grew hotter on my wrist the closer I got to Soren, leading me in hot and cold patterns until I was where he was. Seeing him hurt, but seeing him with another guy... Of course, the guy was his friend but at that time I didn't know that for sure. That day so many thoughts were in my head, like, were they together... Did Soren leave me for him... Most importantly though, I wondered what sort of supernatural the dark-skinned guy was.
He'd clapped his hands and sent a blinding light out at me, was he a witch, a faery, some sort of half-demon. It all was too much, it left too many thoughts running around in my head. "So how did it go?" A voice called out, as I walked past the darkened living room. I turned back around and walked into the living room, in the dimly lit room sat my uncle Phil and Aunt Lucy, my mother, my father, Caleb and Soren's parents, Arthur and Cheyenne. They were seated with glasses of half-empty black wolf wine.
"Guys, I really don't want to talk about it... He-ah... He doesn't want to be with me anymore. I'm gonna crash, please nobody wake me up." I said, turning and walking out of the room, before stopping and turning back around. "Uncle Phil, there was something I wanted to talk to you about," I said, and he nodded. I walked out hearing my mom grumble about Phil not being special. Phil followed me to the kitchen and waited for me to chug half my Bruners Brew, the deep amber-colored beer gave just the slight buzz I needed to relax.
"There was a guy with him. He said they're just friends, and... I believed him, but my problem is the guy was not all human, I mean... He smelled human, but they jumped out of a window and just floated down to the ground... Soren certainly didn't do that. Then when I caught up with them, the guy claps and fuckin blinds me. What do you think he could have been?" I asked. Uncle Phil looked off thoughtfully, then he walked over to me. "May I?" He asked, his hand already stretching out. "Whatever," I said and he moved his hand over my face, muttering some backward spell.
"Laever ot em tahw t'nac eb nees." A light lavender colored light poured from his hand, I felt its warmth racing up and down my face. It tickled just a bit, but I didn't crack a smile. "Wow... Who would have thought..." He said, and I pulled away. "What?! What is it?" I asked. "A genuine psychic. A powerful one at that, he's been helping Sor avoid you... Wow." He said, and I growled. "Why do you sound impressed... He wasn't that cool, any witch or faery could have done that, especially an Enchanter." I said, and he sighed.
"Are you going to try again. I can make you another charm, It'll protect you from any more psychic attacks, it might even help you get past his sight, but from what I just felt... It might not work on his sight too well." He explained and I thanked him, telling him I'd take the charm. That night when I got into bed, I replayed Soren's words over in my head. I wondered how he could think I'd choose the pack over him, I always made sure he knew he was first in my life, hell he knew I was offered tens of hundreds of different scholarships. I could have left at any time, but I stayed... Not because I was heir or because I loved the pack, but because I loved him. Sure we couldn't have any children, so what... I knew that going in, it was a choice I made and my mind hadn't changed. But apparently, he had, it wasn't just on the pack, clearly he was insecure about his inability and I understand, yet I didn't.
I lay there fuming, thinking, upset... Slowly another plan formed in my head, I wasn't giving up, not at that moment, not ever. So I plotted, planned, and schemed. It took me a while and many more run-ins with Soren and his psychic.
But I would eventually catch him, it just took me two years.
