Chapter Six ... Psychic Rage
POV
Soren
My eyes opened, and I laid in bed, laying there my mind was foggy, blinking away my confusion memories started playing over in my head. With a flash, my hand shot up to my neck and I ran my fingers across the bite mark. Teeth wounds and four puncture marks from where Stone's top and bottom canines cut through my skin. Touching the mark sent waves of rippling pleasure up and down my entire body.
I threw back the covers and climbed out of bed, Stone wasn't in the bedroom, so I went to find him. I could feel his half of the mate-link, his nerves, and his anger, his fear. All of it was pushing its weight onto me. I walked out of the bedroom and into the living room/kitchen of the Alpha ward. There he was, sitting at the little island beside the stove. "Wait wait wait ... Sor... Ow dammit!" Stone shouted after I ran over to him, and began to punch him everywhere.
I swung for the twentieth time and he caught my fist, using it he spun me around, my back to his stomach. My body seized when he cupped his teeth over the mark. I went lax in his arms as he softly bit down, he wasn't marking me again, just holding me, using my mark to control me. As my breathing calmed down, he let me go. I spun around ready to fight him again, but he backed up and went around to the opposite side of the island. "I'm sorry Soren, I really am. I-You--- Miro did it, he lost it when you tried to reject us." He explained.
"I can not believe you would do this to me, you took away my right to choose. I want out of this room, now!" I shouted, and he flinched. "How do I know you won't run?" He asked, his head down. "For what?! So I can get sick, so Mya can slowly shrivel up inside of my psyche, you marked me, guaranteeing I could never leave. Open that damn door, so I can get away from you!" I screamed. He looked down nodding slowly, then he walked over to the ward door, and punched in the code on the panel, the door softly hissed and he opened it.
"I won't restrict you in any way, just don't leave me... Please." He said, moving aside and letting out of the room. I took off out of the room and headed downstairs. I was shirtless and intending to go to my parent's house, I was praying I still had clothes there, because I could smell Stone all over me. "Soren! Soren wait up!" I stopped on my way past the second of two living rooms.
I turned around, watching as Charlie approached me, he and two guys who I knew but couldn't exactly remember their names. He practically ran up to me, throwing his arms around me. Stone's brother was like a little brother to me as well, and I couldn't believe how much older he looked. His hair was darker, his eyes seemed bluer and he was much taller, exceptionally tall for an Omega
"Whoa, kid, you're almost as tall as Stone... Guess that's the Alpha in your blood. How you been?" I asked. "Good... I'm about to start high school with humans. Plus, in six months I'll be sixteen and officially able to date boys." He said, rolling his eyes at the thought of his father's rule. "You remember, Bastain and Freddy?" He asked, and I said hello to each of them, noticing they were different in some ways too. Bastian, if my memory was right, was the talkative one, the party boy who knew he was pretty.
Bastian and Freddy were originally from our sister pack, the Kansas city pack, right before I left their pack were supposed to re-merge back with Brickston, I guess they had. Bastian was a lot shorter than Charlie but taller than Freddy. He nodded at me, his hair hanging down and covering his right eye.
Freddy grew to be just as pretty an Omega as Charlie and Bastian, he was always the quieter of the three of them, always the one who tried to stop their mischief. His wild red hair used to be brighter, but he still had those huge doe-like eyes.
"Soren, we know my dick brother marked you without consent," Charlie said, while, Bastain nodded adding, "You say the word and we'll help you kick his ass." Freddy rolled his eyes, telling them, "Stop it, you both know the Alpha would kill us." Bastian and Charlie scoffed, before circling me. "Did it hurt?" Bastain asked, staring at the mark with those bright brown eyes. "No," I answered.
At that exact moment, a loud bang sounded, followed by screaming and yelling. Charlie, Bastain, Freddy, and I all damn near jumped out of our skin when the house seemed to sway. The kitchen shook, and outside the sky cracked as thunder boomed. I darted off, my stomach churning, I could hear the thunder repeatedly clapping.
I took off, trying to get back up the stairs as they rocked, threatening to make me fall. I reached the landing, stopping at the sight of Stone and Caleb being held up in the air against the wall. Cole stood in front of them, his hands up in two fists. He was shirtless and still sweating, but he was steadier on his legs. Caleb and Stone were gasping, their faces turning red. "Cole, you're killing them!" I shouted, and he raised his fist telekinetically taking them higher up the wall.
"He bit me! The fucker bit me! He knew I was out of my mind, and he still bit me! He thinks he's keeping me here, but he's wrong!" He shouted, all the while lifting them higher with his mind. Thunder clapped and the house shook. "Please, Cole, don't," I implored. With a frustrated shout, Cole dropped his hands and both Caleb and Stone fell to their knees, gasping and choking for air.
"Ren, we have to go. We can't stay here... At least I can't." He said, turning and going into the Beta suite. "What the actual fuck! Caleb?!" Stone asked, rubbing his throat. "He-he just woke up, and it was like he was seeing me for the first time. He started screaming at me, saying I took advantage of him." Caleb said, his eyes held so much fear and pain. "I didn't rape him, you saw him, Soren, he wanted me, what was I suppose to do?" Caleb asked, his voice cracking.
"You shouldn't have marked him, not while he was basically in heat." I spat, my eyes boring into Stone, who looked down at his hands. "I didn't know it was his heat, he's human, he shouldn't even have a heat," Caleb said, "Look, that storm outside, yeah that's him doing it, he can not control that ability and if he doesn't calm down, the weather is gonna hit us, and it's gonna hit us hard," I said, and we all watched as Cole came out of the room, dressed in too-big clothes that he clearly took from Caleb; he darted past me, and I took off after him.
Caleb shot up going pass me and after him, I followed, so of course Stone followed me. The house wasn't shaking anymore, but I could still hear the thunder, I could hear hard and fast winds pounding the packhouse, and I could hear the fat drops of rain pelting the roof. The people in the packhouse were watching as Caleb chased his mate through the halls, past the bigger kitchen, past the smaller living room, and out the front door.
"Soren, can you get your friend under control?" Stone asked, as we ran behind Caleb and Cole, who were entering the northern woods. "No, he like me wants to leave this place, and Caleb like you, took away his choice, but apparently unlike me, Cole isn't scared of death," I said. Stone scowled and went silent, his eyes glazing over as he used the pack-link. The trees were swaying as the gust of powerful air threatened to uproot them.
Up ahead I watched Caleb tackle, Cole, spinning him before they fell so he wouldn't hit the ground. "Let me go!" Cole screamed, and the ground rumbled, a mini quake rolling through woods. The sky darkened more and lightning started to strike, the quake quickly got worse.
"Caleb let him go, you're making it worse!" I yelled, but Caleb held on tighter. Suddenly warrior wolves broke through the woods on all sides of us, and I rounded on Stone. "They need to back the hell off, or this is gonna get much worse!" I snapped. "He is a danger to this pack, if you or Caleb can't get him to stop, I will." He shot back. Cole screamed in rage and a few of the younger trees snapped, they spun around knocking into a few wolves.
Caleb was ripped by unseen hands away from Cole and slammed into one of the older thicker trees. Cole stood up, his eyes wild and fearful. The winds picked up, and lightning slammed down striking repeatedly in a circle around the psychic. The wolves closed in, keeping their distance but still boxing him in. "No, just get the fuck back! ... Let me leave!" Cole yelled, and more lightning hit the ground. Cole looked at the growling, snarling, circling wolves and the fear in his eyes changed, it became mixed with a stern look of determination.
He raised his hands swinging them, and wolves were thrown. Some into the trees and others were tossed farther away. The rain was pouring down, and with its strength and volume, I figured pack territory would soon be flooded. "Cole, Choc baby, stop... Everybody back the fuck up!" Caleb snapped, as wolves were propelled back by waves of invisible forces. The rain fell heavier, the skies grew darker, so dark they were practically black. Then the fog rolled in, the winds started to whistle. "Choc, calm down, just talk to me, please, give me a few minutes to talk to you, and if you still wanna leave, you can go," Caleb said.
"Oh shut up, stop trying to manipulate my emotions! You won't let me just leave, but you better. I-I can't control it!" Cole shouted over the wind, pacing, and clearly getting worked up. "Baby please, godammit!" Caleb snapped, and Cole froze. His body visibly trembled, and just like that the winds quieted, the rains slowed. "Stone, call them off, let me talk to my mate," Caleb said, and Stone nodded, barking out orders than following the wolves out of the woods.
"Cole, whatever you decide, can you come to see me after?" I asked, walking backward until he nodded yes. Stone was some way into the woods waiting for me. "If this rain doesn't stop the territory will flood, that psychic of yours is dangerous." He said, wiping rain from his face. "He's not my psychic, he's Caleb's mate, and maybe if Caleb hadn't marked him, he wouldn't be so amped up," I said, going around him with a scowl.
"You know what, drop it! I am not the bad guy here, you are. You let me fall in love with you and then instead of facing me, ending things the right way, you run off. You broke my heart and you don't give a shit. I wish I never met you, I regret marking you, more than you'll ever know." He said, before turning and storming off. The wailing sounds poured outta me as soon as he was out of eyesight. His words hurt like a son of a bitch, they cut to the core of me... He was starting to hate me. I was getting what I wanted. So why the fuck was I crying.

Somehow I ended up in front of my parent's house, I wanted to knock but for some reason, I couldn't. I was ashamed, I'd ran off and left, my mother was like my best friend, and I just left her. So what would she say, what right did I have to try and ask her for advice? I was in tears turning to go when mmhh the door opened, I froze staring at my dad. "What's going on?" He asked, and I kept looking everywhere but at him. "Is-is mama here?" I asked. "Why? What's wrong?" He asked, and I fought the urge to roll my eyes at his show of concern.
"Nothing, I just wanna talk to mama," I said, and he sighed nodding. "Fine, just like always. Your mom is in the house." He said, walking past me. I turned on my heels, "What is that suppose to mean?!" I shouted at his back. "It means what it means. Look, ever since you learned to talk you've only ever wanted to talk to her, whenever I ask you what you're feeling or thinking, you shut me down." He said, spinning to face me.
"So our screwed relationship is my fault?" I asked. He shook his head no saying, "No, not entirely, my fault lies in giving up, but if you think for one second that I don't love you... You're dead wrong. I do love you, I just never... You didn't like anything I liked, and I wasn't always a Beta, so it's not like I only did ruff and tumble activities, I tried to find things for us to bond over, but I admit that eventually, I gave up." He said, and I was speechless.
He was right, I remember many times that he invited me to do something, and I would always say no. "Dad, I was scared. I didn't feel comfortable, and I get that you can't relate to an Omega, but it's the truth. I wanted to spend time with you, but everywhere you were, other dominant wolves hung around." I explained. "I really am sorry, you're my only pup and I do love you." He apologized and it was like a tiny weight lifted off me.
"I love you too," I whispered. "Okay, so what are you going in there to talk to your mama about?" He asked me, and I looked down, afraid to meet his eyes, ashamed. "What is it, Soren?" He asked again, a demand that didn't exactly sound like a demand. "He-Miro marked me," I mumbled. "D-did you consent?" He asked. I slowly shook my head no, fighting the desire to cringe when the sound of a snarl began to build in my father's chest.
He exhaled slowly, then turned and walked off. "No, no daddy please do not do this!" I yelled watching him go. Mama! Mama!" I yelled. The front door to my parent's house opened and my mama raced out to where I stood on the lawn. "What's going on?" She asked. "I told Daddy that Stone marked me without consent, and now he's headed over to the packhouse," I explained and she grabbed my hand leading into the woods.

Me and mama raced up the staircase that went up the front of the packhouse, we shoved through the front door and heard the commotion before we saw it. "Son of a bitch, I want him flogged... If I have to, I will contact the council!" My dad shouted. We reached the smaller living room and found Stone's father holding my father back. Stone was up against a wall being held back by Ezekiel, everyone had their canines bared and the room smelled like a bitter burnt plant.
"Daddy no, I don't..."
"I'm positive you didn't want to be marked, but your would-be mate decided to take what he wanted, and unlike when his father... Who really better get off of me, did the same thing to his mother... Unlike then I will not forgive this offense. Get off of me Stone, I want him punished!" Daddy shouted. Stone's father shoved my father, shouting at him not to involve his past in what was happening. Stone Jr pushed Ezekiel, throwing him across the room.
"You've got the nerve to come in here demanding floggings and shouting at me... It was a mistake, an impulse from my wolf!" Stone yelled. "Then shift and let your wolf take the flogging, either way, I want you to be punished." My dad said. "No... No. Daddy it happened, I don't want him to be punished... Can we just go home?" I asked.
"This is ridiculous! We were supposed to get married. Why are you doing all of this?! Why are you doing this to me?!" Stone shouted at me, his face broken in pain. I kept my eyes on the ground, refusing to see that hurt. "You know what?" Stone asked, "I agree with you Arthur, I should be flogged." He added. My eyes shot up to his and I shook my head. "No," I called, "It's the proper thing, you feel like I hurt you, so I should make it right." He said, and I growled, he knew what he was doing.
"So that's the plan? Guilt me into being with you, no... I'll tell the council I asked you to mark me, you'll all look like liars." I hissed. "Goddess! You guys know all of this is over kids, he doesn't want to be with me, because his wolf can't conceive. Which one of you was it? Mmmhh... Who made him feel like we needed an heir?!" He spazzed, coming away from the wall and staring accusingly around the room.
"Daddy come on, let's just go home?" I asked, "No, he asked for a flogging... And you... You caused all of this. I want you front and center when the council gets here." He said. "You want me to watch them whip you? What the fuck is wrong with you?" I asked. "Go with your parents, and reflect on all that you did to bring us this far." Stone said, his eyes boring into mine. "I'll contact the council." My father said, "I don't believe you Art, this is between them, it has not..."
"Stop... Maybe when you were just Stone's daddy you couldn't understand, but how would feel if it was Charlie or Luna?" My dad interrupted him, and Stone Sr fell silent. My dad dragged me out of the room, I could hear Stone shouting.
