❁Chapter 29❁

Chapter 29

"I get out tomorrow," Nora whispered, her head on James' chest as her finger tips traced over his skin, a content sigh falling from her lips as she lay there. Aubrey had left no longer than ten minutes ago, and soon after did James appear again, claiming that he definitely was not waiting outside of the hospital wing.

But of course, he was.

"Thank merlin, I miss you," James mumbled, guiding her head to look at him, seeing the small smile resting on her lips did he lean down to kiss them, "I love your lips."

"My lips love you," Nora grinned, "also, Mr Potter, I have seen you every single day, how could you possible miss me?"

"You know how when Remus came to visit?" James spoke, pressing his lips to her ear softly, he liked to kiss her, whether it be her lips or any part of her body, he just liked to feel his lips on her, and his arms around her tightly, he liked to know that she was there, that she was real, not an angel to look over him, but a real life human being, that she was Nora, his Nora.

"I recall," Nora giggled, squirming slightly as his lips tickled her neck, turning suddenly to face him with a joking glare, "James Potter, stop that!"

"You really want me to?" he asked, his head titled as he looked around the hospital wing, they were the only ones there, Madam Pomfrey had left to retrieve something moments ago and no students had come in.

He smirked down at her, brushing his lips over her jaw softly, trailing down her neck with slightly more force, his smirk widening when she moaned, "James."

"I could get used to you moaning my name," James whispered in her ear, laughing loudly when she pushed him away.

"You arse," she huffed, glaring at him and pushing herself down to the bottom of the bed, crossing her legs in a basket, "that's just unfair."

"You could always return the favour," he shrugged, wiggling his eyebrows with a cheeky smile sent her way as she scoffed, "oh Nora!"

"I hate you so much," she grumbled, her eyes narrowed as she kicked him - gently - with her foot, "if you looked arse up in the dictionary, a picture of your face would appear."

"If you looked incredibly gorgeous up in the dictionary then your face would appear," James winked, watching her roll her eyes with a soft laugh.

"You're a headcase."

"You're still gorgeous."

"You're going to be the death of me, James Potter," she whispered, a sigh escaping her lips as she pushed herself up, finally situating herself on his lap, "if I wanted you to moan my name then you would."

"Oh, would I?" he asked, his head titled as he smirked at her, "prove it."

"Fine, I will."

She moved so that she was straddling his legs, running a hand softly through his hair and soon did she meet his lips softly, gently, slightly biting his lip so that they would part and soon did her tongue slip into his mouth. She pulled away suddenly, when his hands found her waist did she break their kiss, an innocent look in her eyes when he opened his mouth to protest.

She pressed her lips to the corner of his, brushing ever so slightly down his jaw with slightly more force than before, and soon was her lips attached to his neck, biting, sucking and kissing the specific spot, and when he moaned, "oh merlin, Nora," did her smirk widen and her head move to grin at him.

"Did I prove it?" she asked, a cheeky smile placed on her lips as the laugh fell from his, and soon, did he nod.

"Fine, you proved it," he huffed, his hand finding her cheek, softly sweeping his thumb over her cheekbone whilst she gripped his hand, "but I can make you moan louder."

"I really wish I didn't hear that," the two turned at the sight of Remus, his nose scrunched in disgust as he threw himself onto the chair beside her bed, "If I went my entire life not hearing that sentence I'm positive I would be a very happy person."

"Rem-"

"She's my cousin," Remus cut James off, giving him a look, "that's just odd, I don't like that, never say that again, ever, please, I beg of you."

"She was my girlfriend, first," James smirked, purposely moving Nora's face and kissing her - over exaggeratedly - in an attempt to piss Remus off.

"Right that's enough," Remus huffed, pulling her away from him and sitting her on the opposite side of the bed, hearing the two of them laughing loudly as he glared at them, "she was technically my cousin first, actually, we just didn't know it."

"He has a point," Nora giggled, patting Remus' shoulder whilst James glared, flipping the two of them off, "oh come on, he's playing the role of protective relative, it's funny!"

"I'm not playing any role, I'm being one hundred percent real," Remus shrugged, sitting beside Nora and throwing his arm around her, "she's my cousin, and she's also one of my best friends, so if you hurt her James Potter, I will murder you."

"Protective Moony is no fun," James huffed, a frown attacking his lips, whilst Nora leaned over to pat his knee.

"No contact!" Remus exclaimed, "you can look at each other from a metre away."

"Fine, I'll just think about what we're going to do later," James sang, a cheeky smirk taking over his lips, "oh merlin, Nora, you're getting bet-"

"That's it!" Remus huffed, kicking James' leg who couldn't help the loud laugh that fell from his lips, "just no, James, just no."

"You're going to scar the poor boy!" Nora exclaimed, wrapping her arms around a frowning Remus, her laugh filling the air when he frowned, "look at him, he is already scarred!"

"Yeah, James, I'm scarred!"

"Poor you."

"Also, what is with the nicknames!" Nora exclaimed, "Moony, Prongs, I just don't understand!"

"You haven't told her?" asked Remus, his eyebrow raised as he stared at James, "I thought you would've."

"It's not mine to tell," James shrugged, running a hand through his hair, and gesturing for Nora to take his hand, "and you still need to rest, even if you are getting out tomorrow."

"Oh merlin, I'm fine," she grumbled, rolling her eyes when James pulled back the quilt, gesturing for her to climb in, which she done, reluctantly.

"You're just as much a part of it as I am, James," Remus sighed, pulling his legs onto the bed when he watched James wrap his arms around Nora, casually reaching for her hand.

"Remus It's your secret," James spoke, "I'm not going to disrespect that, I may be a part of it, but it's still yours, and who you wished to tell is not up to me, or Sirius, or Peter, it's up to you, and who you trust with it, and who you're ready to tell."

"Well, I'm ready to tell Nora," Remus sighed, taking a deep breath, "I trust you with my life, and you're also my favourite cousin."

"I'm your only cousin," she chuckled, pushing herself further into James, seeing as he was much warmer than she was.

"But you're my favourite nonetheless," he grinned, "anyway, my secret, it's, well it's a big one," he sighed.

"I mean it's really not a big deal, Remus is just over-dramatic," James joked, sending Remus a reassuring smile, "it's Nora, Moony, she's the most understanding person on this planet."

"Yeah, you're right," Remus mumbled, a sigh tumbling from his lips, "but if you're frightened of me after I tell you, if you don't want anything to do with me, i-if you don't want to be my cousin, I understand."

"Remus," Nora whispered, reaching over and taking his hand, "you are the best cousin anyone could ask for, Remus, and I only found out a week ago, I don't think being frightened of you is even possible!"

"But-"

"No buts, Remus," Nora sighed softly, squeezing his hand in hers, "you're incredibly kind, and you have so many friends who love you, and I love you too, whatever it is, whatever is so important will never affect how I feel about you, will never dampen our friendship, or the fact that we are related!"

"Alright," Remus frowned, "I guess I should just tell you, the thing is, well, um, you see, Nora, I'm a werewolf."

"You are?" Nora gasped, wide eyed, "oh merlin, Remus, you should not be ashamed of that, you should praise how brave you are, you have to go through so much pain, so much hurt each month, you know it's coming, you know you're going to have to at some point, and yet, you still do, as though it's no big deal, I would never have suspected it, Remus, you don't complain, you don't whine, you take it, and you think nothing of it, you're a true Gryffindor, Remus."

"Thanks, Nora," Remus smiled softly, squeezing her hand still in his, "I suppose I'll lay off protective big cousin for a bit."

"Hey, hey, hey, who said you were older?" Nora asked, her eyes, "when is your birthday?"

"The tenth of march," he smirked, watching her eyes widen.

"You're kidding!" she shrieked, her eyes soon narrowing to slits when his laugh filled the air.

"When is yours?" he asked, watching the smirk on James' lips widen as she turned to glare at him.

"The eleventh," she grumbled, throwing I'm another glare when his laughs got louder, "you're a day older than me, Remus Lupin, you brat."

"At least you're older than James," Remus smirked, watching the smirk fall from James' lips, "got yourself an older woman, mate?"

"Oh, piss off," James grumbled, rolling his eyes, "she isn't that much older than me!"

"A full two weeks and two days," Nora grinned proudly, high fiving Remus, "I'm the backbone of this relationship, I'm the oldest, I make all the rules!"

"Oh shush, we're both the backbone of this relationship," James scoffed, attacking her cheek with kisses when she turned to stare at him.

"I said I'd lay of the protective cousin but that doesn't mean I enjoy this," Remus piped in, watching the laugh fall from Nora's lips.

"Wait, wait, wait," Nora spoke, "that doesn't explain the nicknames, I see Moony, as in moon, as in werewolf, but why Prongs, what does that have anything to do with you?"

"Well, you see," James trailed off, a laugh escaping his lips as he looked to Remus for help, "uh, Moony, want to answer this one."

"Well, James, you see, this one is really for you to answer," Remus smirked, resting his head on his hand whilst he looked at the two.

"Fine," James huffed, "well, the thing is-"

"Spit it out, James," Nora sang, a laugh tumbling from her lips as she turned to him.

Remus didn't know what he was expecting, partly he was expecting Nora to shout the head off of him because one, it was dangerous, and two, if anyone found out that he was unregistered then he would be in a whole lot of trouble.

And also, he thought it would be pretty hilarious to see her shouting at him.

"There is a slight possibility, so that Remus wouldn't be alone during the full moons, that myself, Sirius, Peter and Adria are now unregistered Animagi," he grinned sheepishly, watching her eyes widen, and was sure that she was going to shout at him.

But what was incredibly surprising, to both James and Remus, was when the girl pushed herself up ever so slightly, her hand on James' cheek as she pressed her lips softly to his, "oh merlin, you bloody idiot, you sweet idiot."

"That was not the reaction that I was expecting!" Remus huffed.

"What?!" Nora exclaimed, "I think it's adorable that he helps you, it shows how loving and cute and sweet he is."

"And manly," James coughed.

"Mhmm, yeah," Nora nodded, turning back to Remus with a shake of her head, "is it dangerous, though?"

"Not really," James shook his head, wrapping his arms around her tightly, "I can risk some danger."

"Yes, well either way, I'll worry about you all anyway," Nora scoffed, "even if- wait a minute!" she gasped.

"Wha-"

"You bloody arse that's how you got that deer to charge at Caden!" she shrieked, eyes wide as she pushed James' chest, "you where the deer!"

"I may have been."

"Oh, bloody hell," Nora whispered, covering her mouth in a best attempt to muffle her giggles, "I can't believe my boyfriend is Bambi!"

"Oh, not you too!"
