❁Chapter 21❁

Chapter 21

"I didn't know it was a muggle train," Nora whispered quietly, eyeing the ticket man who was collecting tickets at the other side of the train, "why would a muggle train be going through Hogsmeade?!"

"It's still a village, love," James sighed, shaking his head, "we cant waste the muggle money to stay on, so we either get off at the next stop or-"

"Or we look for a distraction," Nora completed, thinking of what could possibly help them in this situation, "what do people hate more than teenagers?"

"Cruel, but what?" James asked, his eyebrow raised as he turned to her, pretty sure that she had pushed herself closer.

"PDA," she smirked, her hand finding the side of his face and her lips meeting his, she guided his hand to her waist, closing her eyes as did James, still rather confused as to what Nora's was plan was, but he wasn't really complaining, anyway.

Nora heard the ticket man in front of them, clearing his throat as he reached the two, and when James went to pull away did Nora push her lips onto his more forcefully, biting his lip ever so slightly so that his lips parted and soon did she slip her tongue into his mouth, over exaggeratingly running her hand through his hair, and practically pushing herself on top of him whilst she done so.

"I don't get paid enough for this," the ticket man grumbled, shaking his head with a frown, "I'll come back later."

Nora peaked a look, seeing the man walk away down the train away from the two, and finally did she pull away from a wide-eyed James, panting as she pushed herself back onto her own seat, "we're in the clear, but only for now."

"We're getting muggle trains more often," James spoke after he had regained his breath, taking a glance at Nora who was grinning widely, moving to lean her head on his shoulder and soon did she reach for his hand.

"Wanna know a secret?" she asked, pressing a kiss to his jaw when she turned to look at him, her smile widening when he turned to look at her, nodding his head as he done so, "the next stop is our stop anyway."

James let out a laugh, shaking his head as he squeezed her hand, "you are something else, Nora Robinson."

"Yes, but you love me, anyway," she giggled, draping her legs across James.

"I do," he mumbled softly, titling her chin ever so slightly and slowly pressing his lips to hers.

"When we get to Edinburgh, we should go sightseeing," Nora whispered, her head on his shoulder as they sat on the train. The cart that they were in didn't have many people surrounding them, only a select few of elderly muggles that where too preoccupied with their books to notice Nora and James not too far from them.

"We should," James nodded, leaning his head atop of hers, his fingertips dancing along her thigh absentmindedly, "we should also get hot chocolate because that solves all problems."

"Very true," Nora laughed softly, "money, though."

"I have money."

"You have wizard's money, James," Nora sighed, "if we walked into a café and pulled that out they'd think we were mental."

"Really?"

"Yup, I'm trying to save money for summer so that we can go on better adventures," Nora mumbled , running a hand through her hair.

"No," James shook his head, "we'll use your money today, and then this summer I'll go to Gringotts and exchange money for muggle money, we can go anywhere."

"James-"

"Please, Nora," he whispered, guiding her face to look at him, "I never spend money, I have so much of It, but I don't need it, and I never had, and now I have you, who doesn't have a lot of money, who needs it more than I do, so I'm going to spend it on you, I'm going to treat you, and spoil you, because you deserve it, you deserve the world, Nora, you deserve a better life than what you have, and you know what, money can buy happiness, it can buy you what you need, you won't need to live off of nothing, not if I have anything to do with it."

"You're amazing," Nora whispered after a few moments of just staring at him, a sigh falling from her lips as she moved closer to him, her fingertips tracing soft patterns over his neck as she wondered what she had done to deserve to have him in her life.

"I was thinking," James whispered, a smile falling onto his lips, "I want to go somewhere during summer, but I don't want to take the train, I want to go, and book a hotel, a fancy hotel, for us, the best that I can get."

Nora laughed softly, "James I like to do this, I like travelling, and train hopping, it's fun, and risky, and sometimes the destination wasn't all that you're expecting, but the journey was an adventure in itself, that's what I like, the adventurous part of it."

"I know," James nodded, "but I still want to take you here, because I think you of all people should know what it's like to live as royalty, it'll be fun, love, I'll make it fun."

"Where is this place?" asked Nora, her head titled ever so slightly as she stared at him, leaning her head slightly on his shoulder as she looked at him. She was in disbelief of how much the boy right beside her had impacted her life, for the better, in the best possible way did James Potter make her life so much better, exciting, bearable.

When she lost the boy she thought she loved did the boy beside her come and fill the hole in her heart, showing her that the love that she deserved was able to be found in his aching heart, too.

"Paris-"

"James Potter, that is far too expensive," Nora gasped, wide eyed as she cut him off furiously shaking her head whilst the smirk on his lips widened, "there is no way, if we were ever to go to Paris then we would get the cheapest ticket, and the cheapest hotel, I won't let you!"

"You don't have a choice, love, I'll just kidnap you," James laughed softly, "I told you Nora, my parents give me money, so much of it that I will never need, and if I ever spent it on someone, that someone is going to be, and always will be you, so please let me do this, I want to treat you."

"But it's Paris," she whispered, blinking ever so slightly, in somewhat disbelief, Paris, the place she has always wanted to go to, a place outside of Britain for her to explore, "James, I don't want you to think that I want you to spend your money on me, I'm so grateful for you, I am, but it's too much!"

"Nothing is too much for you, Nora Robinson," James shook his head, quickly stealing a kiss from her, "quite frankly, you deserve more than what I can give you."

Nora sighed as she pulled him closer, finding his lips again, a craving of hers, she didn't realise just how much she needed someone until James Potter came into her life. He made her life better, but she did the exact same for him, they grieved together over the lost love for a while, they tried to get the people they wanted whilst unable to realise that the people they needed where each other.

"You are something else, James Potter."

-

"We made it!" Nora exclaimed, a laugh floating from her lips as she danced around a street light, stopping for James to catch up, "can you believe it?!"

"Well, I don't think you were going to give up," James grinned, reaching for her hand and pulling her closer, "so I can believe it!"

"It's lovely here," Nora sighed, wrapping her arms around James tightly, "we did it, we really did it!"

"Now all we need to do is get back," James teased, earning a glare fro, Nora, "we can do that too, maybe not tonight though."

"Meaning?"

"Meaning we use the money you have, and we find a hotel, and tomorrow we'll attempt to make our way back to Hogsmeade," James chuckled, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"Don't you think it will be a little odd for two teenagers to walk into a hotel and demand a room?" Nora laughed, a wide smile on her lips as she watched the traffic on the streets, "what would we do?"

"Well, we would demand the room, politely," James teased, stepping away from her and reaching for her hands, "it also gives me an excuse to be with you."

"Oh please," Nora scoffed, taking a step forward until she was right in front of him, her hands around his neck, "you don't need an excuse."

The smirk attacked James lips quickly, slipping his arm around her waist and pulling her into him, "you know, oddly enough, I really like you."

"Oh, well, how nice of you," Nora giggled, pushing herself up to attack his lips, "oddly enough, I really like you too."

"I think we should get that hot chocolate now," James grinned, moving to take her hand and pulling her along in the direction of the small café he had spotted not too long ago, "I want to ask you something."

"You do?"

"I do," he nodded, turning to smirk at her, and soon did he pull her closer to him, "something important."

"That's not worrying," Nora chuckled, holding the door open for James when they reached the small café.

Nora gestured to one of the empty tables whilst she moved to the counter, ordering two hot chocolates for them a she looked around the small café, it was cosy and warm, and all around lovely, and places like this was one of the reasons she loved travelling so much, she liked to find new places that she could go back to someday, places with meaning, and light, and happiness, and this place definitely had all of that.

"Thank you," Nora smiled, taking the tray in which the two hot chocolates sat on, and slowly, and carefully did she make her way to the table that James sat at, a grin on her lips as she reached him, "so, the wonderful James, what did you want to ask me?"

"The wonderful James?" he repeated, his eyebrow raised, "I could get used to get that, the incredible Nora."

"Oh, merlin we're worse than Adria and Sirius," Nora gasped, shaking her head as she took off her coat, placing it on the back of her chair and soon did she take a sip of her hot chocolate.

"Is that even possible?" he asked, his eyebrow raised whilst the laugh fell from her laugh, "right, the thing I wanted to ask you."

"Yes, that," Nora nodded, absentmindedly reaching for his hand.

"Well, the thing is, when I met you, properly, I mean, I was blown away, really, I mean, it's hard not to be when a gorgeous girl wants to talk to you, but of course, I liked Lily at the time and you liked Caden, and that was that, but as we started spending more time together, even if we were planning pranks, or playing pranks, I realised that I didn't think much of Lily anymore, and that annoyed me, so I just ignored what I felt, stubbornly, enough.

Because, I was thinking of you actually, a whole lot, and when Caden done that to you, I just couldn't help myself, you deserved so much more than that, and you deserve so much more than me, but I like to think that I'm at least better than he is. It is impossible to get you out of my head, Nora, I simply can't, you are amazing, wonderful, simply perfection, the funniest, most sarcastic girl in the best possible way and you have impacted my life in such a short space of time that I don't even want to imagine my life without you in it.

When you kissed me, merlin, I thought I was going to explode with happiness, it was one of the best moments of my life, and every single kiss after was just like the first, absolutely amazing, perfect, incredible, and if the only thing I had in this world, if I lost everything and the only thing left was you, then I would still be the happiest boy alive," he whispered, his forehead resting against hers, searching her eyes that held adoration, and he was sure his did too, "so, Nora Robinson, please make me the happiest person alive and be my girlfriend?"

A laugh fell from Nora's lips as she caressed his cheek, her thumb tracing gentle circles over his cheekbone as she pressed her lips to his ever so slightly, her mind racing with pleasant thoughts, her heart doing cartwheels in her chest, and the butterflies fluttering frantically around her stomach as she was unable to keep the smile off of her lips.

"It would be an absolute honour to be your girlfriend, James Potter."
