Personality: Jasmine is very stubborn and headstrong yet also very compassionate, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. When Jasmine cares about someone, she can be very fussy and nurturing, often becoming the friend mom. She has an imaginative and optimistic mindset that she puts in her writing and believes in the best in people or, at least, she tries to. Jasmine has a strong fear of turning out to be a silenced puppet, like her mother, and adopted a strong rebellious side in retaliation, though she can be talked into doing stupid things provided she doesn't find a logical reason not to do something other than fear.

Background story: When Jasmine was a baby, her father injected her with V against her mother's wishes but was not immediately signed up for Vought because of her mother. She grew up in Texas with her gaslighting father and doormat mother. Her half-sister, Tanya, made her life miserable and never resisted rubbing her boyfriend Josh (who Jasmine was infatuated with) in her face. Jasmine's half-brother, Ken, often took stuff from her. Jasmine's father often controlled the house while manipulating her and her mother into thinking they were the problem. Jasmine didn't discover her powers until she was 7 and had accidentally turned her house into a thorn patch. It was the first time she had made her father proud and he had wanted to enter her in hero pageants and introduce her to Madelyn Stillwell. Her mother put her foot down and made it clear that Jasmine was to live a normal life until her 18th birthday where she could choose whether or not she wanted to work for Vought and made Jasmine promise to keep her powers hidden. Jasmine practiced her powers in private and kept her promise to keep them a secret until high school when Tanya became the most popular girl in school and used her own power to make Jasmine the social outcast. Jasmine broke her promise to her mother and revealed her powers in high school, becoming a part of the popular crowd. Unfortunately, an accident with growing strong drugs due to peer pressure led her to hospitalize a girl. Vought discovered the incident and covered it up. They sent Jasmine to John Godolkin when she was 15, giving her the backstory of being an outcast who had to join his private school and became one of his G-Men where, like the other G-Men, she suffered from harassment and assault at his hands. She got a supporting role in her first movie a year later and had to star in a scene where she had to distract a 24-year-old guard by seducing him so the other G-Men could sneak by. A scene that was originally supposed to be her dancing at a strip club to distract the guards while the G-Men get answers but was scrapped due to being too young to enter a strip club. When Jasmine was 18, she left the G-Men to attend Godolkin University where she majored in crime-fighting and got accepted into Brink's class due to her background with the G-Men and her father's connection to Vought. After she graduated, she got the Newark contract and starred in her own TV show, making her a  style icon with many women imitating her hair style, particularly the flower, and getting her own fashion line. Many have grudgingly referred to Jasmine as Vought's Little Princess due to her father being a big man in advertising who holds the Vought account. Right now, a movie for her is in development. While Jasmine seems like a sweet southern belle and is one of the few supes to care about the people she saves, she does get hooked on the fame and suffers from bulimia, OCD spending and dating broken men in the hopes of fixing them. She met The Deep when he guest starred on her show and dated him only to break it off when he cheated on her with her sister. Yet, due to fear of public opinion, kept a fake relationship going on for appearances sake. It wasn't until Deep had been revealed as Starlight's sexual abuser that she finally got the courage to dump him publicly. Yet she still has something of a love/hate relationship with him, willing to lend a helping hand when he calls her in despair, despite her anger with him. Though, when Jasmine found herself pregnant with his baby, she had it aborted without so much as even telling him she was pregnant.
