Chapter 3- A Story Not Worth Telling

Your P.O.V

After you are plunged into darkness, you begin stumbling around hoping that you can find your way out of the pizzeria. As you stumble around blindly looking for a way out, your mind wanders back to the golden boy. Never in your life have you seen anyone so golden before. Even his hair seemed to sparkle with a golden gleam. It amazed you to find someone like him. You have waited your entire existence to find someone who loved the colour gold as much as you do. It astounds you that you just happen to find him in an abandoned pizzeria.

You become so wrapped up in your thoughts about Goldy, you run straight into a door. You shake your head and look at the door. You smile once you realize that the door that you ran into just happens to be the door that's going to let you out of the pizzeria.

You grab the handle and open the door in one swift fluid motion. A wave of fresh air crashes around you, surrounding you in a clean air bubble. The air inside the pizzeria was breathable, but it had a lot of dust in it. It would be pretty hard for someone with a dust allergy to walk through without sneezing a billion times.

You walk out into the starry night, kind of sad that you were already leaving the pizzeria. However, they did have a pretty good reason for you to leave. Lizzy did have a habit of panicking and calling her father. If you stayed in there for too long there would definitely be teams of police crawling around the place looking for you. And that's exactly what the people in there didn't want to happen.

You look to your left and see three bodies huddled together, talking in hushed whispers. The one in the middle glances up and sees you standing there. The person gets up and practically launches at you. You get tackled down to the ground in a hug by your best friend Lizzy.

"OMG Y/N!!! I was so worried about you. You were in there for so long I actually began to think that something bad had happened to you. Wait, you aren't hurt are you? What happened in there? What happened to your back pack? Why does it look like you were tied up?" Lizzy says so fast that you almost don't catch everything she said.

"No Lizzy I'm not hurt. Nothing happened in there really. I set it down somewhere and couldn't find it again. And it looks like I've been tied up because I fell into a pile of rope and got tangled in it. That's also why I took so long in there was because I had to untangle myself from the rope." You tell her casually, not even phased be her questions.

"As long as you are ok everything is good." Lizzy says, getting up off of you and the helping you back onto your feet.

You brush the dirt off of yourself and look over at the other two who had decided to join the group.

"You two don't seem like you were very concerned about my well being." You say, crossing your arms over your chest.

"We both knew that you would be fine no matter what you encountered in there. Even if you met a murderer in there that was going to kill you, you would somehow find a reason viable enough that he would let you go." Alex says smirking.

"I highly doubt that I am the good Alex. If he really wanted to kill me he would. He wouldn't just wait for me to make up some excuse for me to be able to get away from him." You say grinning.

"Alright then. Let's change it. You would be kicking his ass before he could even lay a hand on you." Justin says with a grin as big as the Chesire cats.

"Ok. I will give you that. He can try and kill me because I'm not going down without a fight." You say, wild look in your eyes.

"Ok. That's enough talk about murderers and fighting them. Let's all head back to my place and grill Y/N about what it's like in there." Lizzy says, already walking in the direction of her house.

Alex, Justin, and you follow her, not wanting to upset Lizzy in any way.

~Time Skip~

You all arrive at Lizzy's house after 15 minutes of walking and goofing off. You all stumble into her house, laughing and giggling like maniacs. Lizzy's dad walks out of the kitchen and looks at you all quizzically as you are all in a pile on the floor.

"Lizzy dear, do I want to know that you guys are up to this late at night?" He asks, stirring his coffee.

"No dad. It's probably better if you don't know." Lizzy says between giggles.

"Say no more. If you need me I'll be in the basement watching TV. I'll let you guys have the rest of the house to yourselves. You all know my rules pretty well by now so I trust that you will follow them." Her dad says, walking away.

"We will Dad, don't worry about it." Lizzy calls out after him.

The four of you continue to lay in the floor in the pile that you have become. However, once the sound of the TV being on is heard, Lizzy jumps up and rushes the three of you upstairs. She pushes you all into her room and quickly shuts the door behind her. She locks her door and turns around and looks at the three of you.

"Alright Y/N, it's time to tell us what all you saw in the old pizzeria. Every time you go into a place Kirk that you always come out with some amazing story about what you found inside. So let's hear the story for this one." Lizzy says sternly, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I honestly didn't find anything story worthy in there. There was nothing spooky about it. It kind of looked like one of the old abandoned warehouses down in the industrial park." You tell her, knowing that there was something story worthy inside, but didn't want their story told.

"There must have been something inside that was out of the ordinary. No place that's been abandoned for so long would be just left alone. That just doesn't happen in this town." Justin says, jumping onto Lizzy's bed.

"How about you just make up a story for us or something. Something believable but would still satisfy our want for a spooky story." Alex asks, hopeful look in his eyes.

"I'm not very good with telling on the spot stories. If you gave me a couple days I could definitely have one for you guys." You tell them, hoping that maybe you can buy yourself some time.

"Fine. We will give you three days to come up with a suitable story. Since we are giving you so much time to do so, it better be good." Lizzy says.

You sigh in relief knowing that you had some time to get this story done for them. Hopefully, one of the people you met at the pizzeria will be able to help you with it. If they live there, they must know some spooky things about the place. Also it would be like a triple win for you if you go back. You can get your spooky story done for your friends. You will get to ask the people questions and find out more about them. You will also be able to see Golden Boy again. Which makes you really happy. Only thing low is trying to sneak back to the pizzeria without anyone finding out.
