The End....?

Well here we are! The sort of end to The Boy With The Blank Stare! Wow I honestly can't believe how far I've come as a writer on here. For ONCE no one has died!

Oh...wait a minute...this was actually a very bloody book...I mean...ten people...plus Ouma's mother and...plus any others I forgot...

Well at least Ouma isn't dead this time. That has to count for SOMETHING, I mean how many times have I killed him. Three. Yikes...

But yes the overarching theme is how we choose to take unpleasant memories and memories in general.

Do we choose to forget things happened because they are unpleasant or move forward with them? How do we choose to take those memories and the feelings they give us?

We can see how memories changed and fueled many of the character's decisions and not just Ouma.

We also have characters like his Mother who can't accept that those memories she has of the bond she used to share with her son can never be restored and struggles to create new memories by ignoring the previous ones but it just can't work that way.

We also have the teacher who has memories of her daughter and finds it impossible to accept she has to take some blame for what happened and tries to surpress these memories inside of her but they still fuel her anger and sadness over her lost child.

Then we have Kiibo who remembers memories of his deceased classmates and crush Tsuki Otome and how he and his class used to be. However the memory of Otome is to painful and no one is the same and makes Kiibo and the rest of the class with some exceptions try to forget it every happened.

We have Saihara fueled by memories of his childhood and unlike most characters does not surpress these memories. Instead he accepts them for what they are and moves forward with them never forgetting the people he loved that are no longer there.

Finally we have Ouma. Ouma who unarguably has the most trauma anyone in this series has with the memory of him being tortured to near death and hearing his friends die around him and being powerless to save them. He never addresses the memories at first. He like all is expected to forget but he just can't and never truly moves anywhere with his memories in this book...

But that's why we have the sequels!

So yeah did I succeed in my theme? Did you enjoy the first part of the book? What would you do if you were Ouma here?

...
..
.

Speaking of sequels...

What is this? The author has made their first interfering with the story and making the readers think they will be getting more content?

Yeah there's a sequel.

So...what are you waiting for? So yeah sorry for keeping you waiting for a real conclusion.

And again...

Thank you for reading.
It might sound weird for me to say but...
