This story does not start from the beginning; it begins on the day Cassandra Banner died. She wasn't dead for long; 28 seconds they told her later. But nonetheless, she was dead, dead, dead. Just like Jon Snow. Except for a few nightmares now and again, Cassandra didn't remember any of it until she finally woke up for good. The day she had started out better than it had ended, but it could have been worse...

This is the story of how Cassandra went from a shy, skinny, and lonely college freshman to the cover of the world's top fashion magazines. As this tale is being told, she even has one of those one-word supermodel names. Her first three years of college were boring and uneventful. She went to class, tried to slowly recover from her near-death experience, and lived quietly in an all-girls dorm.

The summer before her senior year, she met her three best friends in the world. Suzi was captain of the Volleyball team. She was blonde, muscular, and had a wicked sense of humor. She had the reputation of a tough jock-chick and intimidated most guys. Her goal was to win a national championship and then make the Olympic team.

Jenny was a voluptuous brunette who always seemed to be the best-dressed girl on campus. She was also a math whiz who earned straight A's in her accounting major.

Mark was smart, funny, and very cute. He was finishing his engineering degree and a minor in history. His goal was to become an Air Force pilot. He was the first love of Cassandra's life.

For the first few years after graduation, Cassandra travelled the world as a model. She also worked in the design and concepts division of the New York multi-media company that had hired her on graduation day. Within five years she was a division vice president. Five years after that, Cassandra Banner was a corporate vice president for the second-largest multi-media company in the US.

This is her story, some of it is glamorous, some of it not so much. It is a fun, sexy story of friendship; triumph in the face of adversity and in the end one of love.
