You're a Wizard Izuku
Izuku was confused. He'd received an odd looking envelope in the post. It was yellowish and made of thick paper. There was even a wax seal on the back.
The strangest part however, was that it was addressed to his bedroom.
"Mum, I got a weird letter in the post!" The 11 year old said, walking into the living room.
"Weird how sweetie?" Inko asked, watching her son hop onto the sofa beside her.
"It's addressed to my bedroom. And it's got a wax seal on it." He said, turning the envelope over in his hands.
Izuku opened the letter carefully, pulling out several lengths of folded parchment.
"Izuku Midoriya. It is our pleasure to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As a muggleborn, you will require guidance within our world. I will arrive at your residence shortly after this letter in order to both prove magic's existence and bring you to Diagon Alley, where you can purchase your school things. With regards, Minerva McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress." He read out loud.
Izuku dropped the letter onto the table and picked up the other folded pieces of paper.
"There's a required book list.. advanced reading book list.. a list of required equipment, potion ingredients and optional extras.."
He was interrupted by a quiet crack from outside, which was followed by a polite knock on the door. Inko stood up and went to answer it, where there was a muted discussion between Inko and whoever was there. The petit woman returned with a very tall elderly woman who was wearing what could only be described as a witch's outfit.
"Good morning Mr Midoriya. My name is Minerva McGonagall, I believe you've read my letter?" She spoke in English.
"Yes, I have. It's a very well thought out prank ma'am." The greenette replied.
The witch just smiled knowingly, pulling a short stick from her left sleeve and brandishing it.
"Lumos."
The tip of what was obviously a wand lit up with a bright, concentrated light. The Midoriya's dim living room was lit up by the small light source.
"A light manipulation quirk of some kind." Izuku theorised.
"All witches and Wizards are quirkless Mr Midoriya. My abilities have all been taught to me in the past by my own teachers. Mrs Midoriya, please do not panic. Petrificus Totalus."
A bolt of red energy flew from the wand and connected with Izuku's chest. His arms snapped to his sides, and his legs were practically glued together. He was unable to even blink, yet was fully aware.
Petrificus Totalus, total paralasys? Lumos, illumination. Not an illusion quirk then, this feeling is very real. It would need to interfere with my nerves to do that, but at that point it's not just illusion, it's basically reality control. It can only be magic. That or she has 5 quirks at least. The crack was probably her too. Supersonic speed perhaps?
Izuku smiled once he was released from the body bind curse.
"Where do I get my wand?"
______________
Izuku stepped through the once brick wall, eagerly looking around the alleyway.
"Any and all purchases related to your school work will be covered by Hogwarts. There is an upper limit of 150 Galleons, but you won't even spend half of that today. I believe it would be best for you to get the essential items first before buying any extra books or ingredients." McGonagall said.
Izuku nodded and followed the Scotswoman towards the nearest shop, Flourish and Blotts.
Getting to England hadn't been fun. They'd needed to use a 'Portkey', which felt somewhat like getting stuffed through a straw. Apparition was worse, he'd almost thrown up on the professor's shoes, but that had been instantaneous. Portkey travel was drawn out suffering.
There were only five books on the essential list, but there were a further five on the optional extra.
The next stop was the pewtery, followed by Madam Malkin's to get robes fitted. Izuku met a boy with gelled back blonde hair who seemed quite nasty, so he left quickly.
The final (essential) stop was at Ollivanders. McGonagall sent Izuku in on his own and went back down the narrow street.
The greenette looked around wearily. The shop was quite dusty, and full of rows on rows of shelves, all with thin, long boxes stacked neatly on them. Izuku walked over to the counter and rang the silver bell quietly.
There was a clatter, and an elderly gentleman came hobbling around the corner. He smiled warmly.
"Ah, good afternoon young man. I believe you are looking to buy your first wand?" He asked.
Izuku nodded.
The next half an hour was very confusing. Mr Ollivander took many odd measurements, including but not limited to;
The space between his eyebrows.
The length of his nose.
The width of his pinky finger.
The distance between his eye and his elbow with his arms outstretched.
The circumference of his chest.
Eventually, the man reached up onto one of the shelves and eased a box out of the delicate stack.
"Try this one. Holly, 10 inches, unicorn hair, slightly springy."
Izuku took the wand, staring at it a moment before waving it at random.
A shelf detonated.
"Nope!" Ollivander exclaimed, putting the wand on his desk and moving to another shelf.
"How about this one..?"
The countertop turned to liquid.
"Try this!"
The windows blew out.
"Here, take this one!"
There was a loud bang from upstairs.
"Perhaps this one?"
The walls caught fire.
Strangely enough, with every terrible failure Ollivander was getting more and more excited.
"Take this one!"
"And this!"
"What about that one?"
"Ah, here you go!"
"You're a very interesting customer young man! Ah, have this!"
At long last, the wand he was handed emitted golden sparks from the tip. Ollivander cheered, smiling broadly.
"Hawthorn, 12 inches, Phoenix feather core, unyielding. A good wand for dueling."
Izuku left the shop with his new wand tucked into his waistband. Professor McGonagall met him outside, peering around at the broken glass.
"I see you were a tricky customer." She commented with a wry smile.
The witch lifted the bottomless bag in her hand.
"I went ahead and got your extra books, as well as a few others I believe may catch your interest. Your mother said you were a hard study, and Muggleborns tend to be the best students because they are so eager to learn about real magic." She said.
"Thank you Professor." Izuku replied.
"Now, the express leaves in just over a month at Kings Cross on the first of September. I will escort you to the platform that morning, however it seems like a bit of a hassle to return you to Japan only to bring you back a month later. May I suggest you stay in the Leaky Cauldron until September first? That way you have easy access to Flourish and Blotts when you inevitably read through all of your books by Friday."
Izuku thought for a moment before nodding.
"Thank you professor, that would be very convenient."
The deputy headmistress leaned down to the greenette.
"And just between you and me, the Trace I told you about is only put on you when you arrive at Hogwarts. And it's only really useful when you're not around an of age witch or wizard. So you really shouldn't practice anything before school, as nobody would know you have." She said.
Izuku beamed at the professor, who just gave him a wink.
