Nine...
She didn't seem pleased that I had brought Cisco back with me. She growled much louder than she had before.
"Jesus, it's like from freakin' Skyrim," Cisco said.
I could see the resemblance.
Her eyes locked onto Cisco, she bore her teeth at him with another growl.
"We'll let's see how this goes," I heard Cisco mutter under his breath.
He gave me a pointed look, "Don't let her eat me," he said, pointing at me.
I raised an eyebrow at him, watching as he started to approach her with the bag of jerky.
She didn't seem to like that either, a growl rumbled in her chest.
"Hey pretty girl, don't be like that," Cisco said as he approached her.
"Do you want a treat?" Cisco asked, shaking the bag of jerky at her just before he opened it.
The growling had quieted a bit, but it was still there. Cisco had her attention, but she still looked wary.
"Yeah, I think you want a treat," Cisco said, digging his hand into the bag. He took out a larger piece of jerky and tore it into smaller pieces.
"Here ya' go," he said, tossing one of the pieces to her.
She stared at him for a few long moments before she sniffed at the jerky, her eyes never left us as she did so.
After around a minute or so, she ate the piece of jerky.
"There's a good girl," Cisco said, tossing her another piece.
It took less than fifteen seconds for her to eat this piece.
Cisco took that as a sign to come closer.
He got within seven or so feet of her when she started growling again.
"Hey, it's okay," Cisco soothed, tossing two pieces of jerky at her.
She stared at him for a few moments before she ate them, still eyeing him as she lowered her head.
"That might be a problem..." Cisco announced.
"What might?"
"Her leg, she's healed around the bear trap's teeth," Cisco informed me.
"So we'll have to sedate her then? There's no way we can move her without jostling it," I asked.
He let out a sigh and nodded his head, "I was hoping we wouldn't have to. So she would trust us more, but..." he trailed off.
"Ask Caitlin how much she thinks we should give her, you said she weighed two-fifty? Make sure you have her add in her healing factor. If she has a healing factor, I'm sure her metabolism will be increased too,".
Cisco shot me a look.
I put my hands up in mock surrender, turning around to kneel in front of the box.
"Caitlin, how much sedative do you think we need to give her? Cisco thinks she has a higher metabolism," I asked, tapping my com.
There was a noise on the other end, "Try ten point six milliliters of trazodone," she answered.
"Just ten point six?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at the bottle and side-eying the creature.
"Yes Barry, that equivalent to one thousand-sixty milligrams," she snipped back.
"Oh..."
I could practically hear her eye roll through the com.
I pulled back the syringe, it seemed like a lot more after the syringe was filled.
I approached Cisco, "So how do you want to do this?" I asked him.
He scoffed, giving me a pointed look.
"Yeah, I figured that's what you'd say," I muttered under my breath before I used my speed to inject the werewolf-dog-creature with the sedative.
She seemed incredibly confused as she snatched the syringe from her shoulder, throwing it against a nearby tree.
"And now we wait," Cisco announced, taking a couple of steps back as she threw the syringe.
.
.
.
It took nearly twenty-five minutes before she finally went down.
Cisco decided to name her while we waited, Buttercup. He thought it was hilarious.
We waited another few minutes before we approached her.
Cisco poked her with a stick a few times before he deemed her unconscious.
"So... How are we getting her into the back of the truck?" Cisco asked no one in particular.
