Wind and Justice.

{Night 3}

Artemis stared up at Apollon. His green eyes were filled with terror and worry.

"Where were you? Why was my father chasing you?" He asked, panic lacing his tone.

Artemis shook his head, "I... I was just trying to-" he started, but Apollon silenced him by pressing their lips together roughly.

Artemis cried out softly, pushing against Apollon's chest gently, trying to shove him away, but Apollon held fast.

"Please, Artemis!" He begged, holding onto the terrified God tighter, "don't struggle! I'm trying to help you!"

Artemis gave a sob, shoving a final time against Apollon, dislodging his body from the gods hold and tumbling through the sky.

"Artemis!" Apollon screamed, reaching down to Artemis, bit Artemis did not reach back.

A cold feeling seeped against Artemis's back as if hands were grabbing him, dragging him down into an endless darkness.

"Welcome, God of Light." Artemis gasped as the darkness that surrounded him was whisked away, showing off a huge courtroom.

Seats surrounded him from all sides, he was chained to the floor by his hands.

Before him were two thrones, one was coated in darkness, the other glowing silver. On these Thrones sat two Goddesses's.

One, a thin woman with a frown seated on her lips stared down at Artemis, her lips soon curled into a cruel smile when she saw Artemis's fearful gaze.

A thin crown sat upon dark straight hair, and two large black horns protruded from both sides of her head, curling up harshly.

The second woman was just as thin, but she did not look down at Artemis, she did not look at all.

A fat red cloth covered her eyes, and blood seeped from the cloth, she was indeed blinded.

She wielded a sword in one hand, and a scale in the other, both gleaming dangerously.

"Artemis," the dark Goddess spoke with the voice of authority, "you have been summoned by the charges of the path you have chosen."

"P-path?" Artemis asked, gasping as the blind goddess rose the sword from her side, swiping it down harshly.

Artemis shut jus eyes tight, hearing a soft 'shink' at his side, and when he opened his eyes, a ring of fire surrounded him, and an orb floated before her, glowing with a heart.

"You choose the loving path," the goddess continued, "and for that, we, Nemesis and Themis, must grant you with a blessing."

The blind goddess smiled softly and lowered her sword, and for the first time spoke.

"By our power," she said in a soft yet rough voice, "we will grant you with one thing."

She raised her scale, letting the scale glow before the orb before Artemis rose up and settled on the left side of the scale.

On the right side, a small silver stag appeared, glinting in the light of Themis's throne.

"With these gifts," Nemesis purred, "we shall gift you with our... Presents."

Artemis let out a scream of pain as the fire around him began to burn at his arms and legs, burning him.

"No!" Artemis screamed, looking up to the grinning Nemesis who simply watched as Artemis sobbed, screaming in agony as the fire spread up his arms, encasing him in a form of flame.

"Now!" Themis boomed, her voice just raising above Artemis's screams.

"We give you the gift of eternal lovers! They shall keep you at their sides for all eternity, and all you can do is suffer!"

Artemis screamed a final time before his vision went dark and he was thrown backward by a great force.

He found himself tumbling down a black hole head first, unseeing and crying in pain.

Howling spirits wailed around him, swirling and grabbing at his body with sharp nails, clawing at him as he fell.

Further, further, further, further he fell until he reached slammed into a large body of water, and his mind went blank.

As he sunk lower into the water, his eyes cleared and allowed him to see the surface of the water.

The moon above shimmered brightly, but was blotted out by a body diving down to him.

Burning amber eyes glared into his, and hands grabbed at his clothes, jerking him upwards roughly into the air.

He coughed as he rose above the surface, air rushing into his lungs, feeling like fire.

He stared up at the moon, unable to think as his eyes closed, and the sound of a voice yelling for him was all he heard as he plummeted into his dreams again.

"Artemis! Come back!"
