I was so exhausted from today's school work,I was walking home like someone been pushed.My brain needed rest.

I really didn't need any disturbance throughout the rest of the day.I sure would take a long bath,eat lunch mum would have prepared and hit the bed. I was still smiling to myself 'cause of my weird ideas of relaxation when out of the blues my 'pest-stalker' appeared and interrupted my thoughts,
"And what is my pumpkin thinking about now??", Jay asked putting his right arm around my neck.I felt short,well I was short already and Jay was way taller than I was.The same height with my brother,Dee if not even taller.
I quickly came to an abrupt stop and threw away his arm from my neck.
"I'm so tired Jay,ain't in the mood for your silly games and flirting now", I spat at him,I was kinda harsh buh I really really really(yeah,note the emphasized use of really)needed to rest.
"I'm sorry babe,I don't mean to stress you or whatever,Jay stated putting up an innocent boyish look."We could just go grab ice cream and doughnuts at Stafford's and probably go see a movie,it would also help calm your nerves Trix".
His offer was so enticing and tempting but no,no,no,I couldn't let this cute jerk pry into my already well planned rest-timetable.
"No Jay,I don't want to,thanks much.You can go home now".
Bloody liar,you so wanna go with him. Admit it!!
" Remember I live on the same street as you,so we are going through the same route",Jay said wearing an evil smirk.
"Oh...", I exclaimed pathetically.
I just ignored him and walked faster,he soon caught up with me but I increased my pace.We continued this pathetic 'love-play' till we got to my home.
" You have to go home now Jay,you also need to rest,so...
"Wait Trix,won't you change..
" No Jay,bye".
With that I entered my house and shut the door,I didn't bolt it though.Dee and Anna might soon be back from school too(yeah,you're right,their school's mid term break finally came to an end).
"Mummm,I'm home....Muuummm...,I shouted.
No answer.
" Muuuuuummmy",I shouted louder,now getting a little bit irritated that she wouldn't answer my calls.
I ran up to mum's bedroom buh she wasnt in there,checked her in the restroom buh she wasn't there either.I checked the garden and she wasn't there too!!!
Ooops,I forgot.The kitchen.
I ran towards the kitchen and immediately I got there I froze at the door.Mum was lying unconscious on the floor in a pool of her own blood.Her wrist was slit and in between her right fingers was the blade she'd probably used to hurt herself. Her face had turned white,her once full pink lips had become pale and white. I just let out a loud scream that could tear down a building. Before I could say Jack Robinson, someone badged into my home and came running into the kitchen.Awww,my cute knight.Jay
"Shiiit", Jay exclaimed.
He brought out his cell immediately and dialled a number,
" Hello,Sarah is my dad there??
"Send an ambulance now to 34 Green's Avenue..jes three blocks away from our home.Nooooww Sarah!!!Its an emergency.Please.And call up my dad now and inform him". With that he hung up and began checking mum's pulse and all those weird stuff doctors do.
I still froze at the kitchen door,not talking or even making a noise,tears just streaming down my face.Jay came up to me and held me tight.
" Its alright,she'll be fine',he consoled.
Sound of the ambulance interrupted him,he immediately let go of me and ran off to the front door.The door swung open and a team of paramedics and two nurses rushed in.They had a stretcher with them, they gently placed mum on it and moved her into the ambulance.
"Jay,we need someone to stay by her side", one of the paramedics said.
" I know that James,we both coming along".
With that,Jay gently led me unto the ambulance.He held me tightly while I held mum's pale hands.I kept on sobbing uncontrollably.
Why did mum have to do this??why??why??Dad's disappearance wasn't worth her tryna commit suicide.She has Dee,Anna and me.Aren't her kids enough for her?? Couldn't she think of us becoming orphans before taking a rash decision like this??
I was snapped out of my thoughts by Jay when we reached the hospital.They carried mum down and moved her straight to a room with the label EMERGENCY.I tried going after them but they stopped me.
"JAY", someone called from behind us.
We turned to face a very huge man.He wore a white overall with a stethoscope round his neck and he wore a face mask though not fully covered.He must probably be the doctor and owner of this hospital.
" Dad",Jay answered.
He walked up to us wearing an expressionless face.
"Hee-ll-oo sir", I managed to say amidst tears.
"Hello dear,you must be Tricia,'cause I've heard a lot about you.I'm Jay's dad and also the doctor here",he said smiling.
Smiling in this critical condition??Woah,now I know where Jay got his weird smiling habit from.
I've got to go children.Tricia just be strong,your mum will be fine.Jay,take care of her.
With that he disappeared into the same room that mum was taken into.

I started sobbing more and ran out of the hospital.Jay chased after me,I just stood outside the hospital and cried bitterly. Jay came up behind me,
" Trix...
"Why did she have to do that??Why??Why??", I asked as if Jay would give me the answers.I just kept on crying.Immediately Jay turned me around,held my cheeks with his large hands and brought his head down closer to mine.Before I could even flinch,his lips came crashing unto mine,my eyeballs almost popped outta its sockets due to shock.I stared at him buh his eyes were closed,I slowly closed mine and responded to his kiss.The fresh mint taste of his entire buccal cavity,the warmness of his lips.Omg!!I was losing it.
He slowly released his lips from mine and drew me in for a tight hug,holding me so tight,I couldn't help but hold him too round his waist.He gently caressed my hair.
" We'll be fine,pumpkin. Mum will be fine.I'm here for you,you just have to trust me and be strong"
I could feel the gaze of passersby on us but I didn't care.All that mattered now was this cute jerk in whose arms I felt safe and relaxed.

Well well well,this chapter was something else.Kate Williams really took it too far.Almost causing her three kids to be orphans.
And as for Tricia and Jay??NO COMMENT.
