It was a cool Sunday Afternoon,Jay and I decided to go have lunch at Mardies.We ordered for veggie noodles and chicken.It was Jay's favourite and I liked it too. We ate while discussing about random stuff when a feminine figure walked up to our table.
"Hey guys", she greeted.
Jay and I looked up.Shelby!!
" Hey","hey",Jay and I responded.
"You go to Blaydon High School right??',she asked to no one in particular.
" Nah, we go to Harvard University ",I answered sarcastically though in a very low tone that only Jay could hear and he chuckled..
" Yeah,we do and uhmm you must be the newbie,Shelby ",I answered.She smiled and nodded simultaneously showing off her pearly set of teeth.
I faked a smile.I was damn good at doing so especially when a suspicious Shelby was involved.
" I'm Tricia..Tricia Williams and he's my boyfriend Jay..Jay Conner",I said still putting on a facade as I pointed at Jay.
"Yo-Youu-You two are dating?", Shelby asked somewhat shocked and disappointed.
" Yeah",Jay spoke for the first time after the greeting.
"Yeah,we are dating. Tricia is my girlfriend", Jay said again this time taking my hand in his and giving Shelby a stern look.
She suddenly put on a fake smile. Well,I was so damn good at facades so I definitely knew a fake smile when I saw one.
" That's pretty cool,I've got to go,see you guys around",Shelby said giving me one last scary look wearing and an evil smirk before walking out of Mardies.
I knew Jay and Shelby once knew each other 'cause she was so shocked getting to know Jay and I were a couple plus Jay couldn't help but show her that he belonged to me.I really dunno why Jay won't open up to me and tell me the whole truth,well I trust him and I would give him time to set things right.
"What's with the over-possessiveness Jay??", I asked with a raised eyebrows.
He smiled.
" I have to be,you're so pretty that someone might wanna steal you from me",he said tightening his grip.
"Huuush!!So tacky", I said and laughed.He laughed too."Alright cutehead,finish up your noodles let's get home,tomorrow's Monday remember??"
"Aye Aye my genius", Jay said before shovelling the rest of his noodles into his mouth.
" Stop eating like that you pig ",I said with a grimace.
" Pig?!",Jay asked with raised eyebrows. "Well,uhmm,that's pretty cool 'cause you so in love with a pig",he added and began laughing. I found myself laughing with him.
"Whatever, Jerk!!", I said still laughing.

It was a Monday morning.Algebra was first period and Mr.Fab began collecting the weekend assignments. I turned in mine and turned to look at Jay who smiled at me,I smiled back sticking out my small tongue at him.I noticed Shelby staring at Jay and I,she looked super pissed.I just shifted my gaze back to Mr.Fab.When he was done collecting all papers and about beginning the lecture for the day,Shelby raised her hand.
" Yes,Ms Stone??",Mr.Fab answered.
" Sorry sir,buh pur-lease,I really would wana change my seat to the last row,I don't feel comfortable seating here.I would surely feel a lot more comfortable seating at the last row",she said and blinked severally. Lol,was she planning on seducing Mr.Fab with her eyes??
"Would it be okay if you swapped seats with Gabriel??", Mr. Fab asked. I guess the seduction worked.
"Yes sir,that would be okay", she said smiling and looking satisfied.
Gabriel was Jay's seat neighbour.I'm sure she jes wanted to seat near Jay,using her comfort as an excuse. What a pathetic bitch!!
Shelby majestically took her seat near Jay and began grinning like an idiot. Jay looked at me, I simply looked away. I was so hurt. I knew Shelby and Jay had something fishy going on between them but I just dunno why Jay wouldn't open up to me.My eyes became glassy but no tears came out.
" Excuse me Mr. Fab,I need to use the restroom ",I said.
" Alright Tricia".
I took a last glance at Shelby and Jay before leaving the class.Jay had a weird expression on and the whore had her usual evil smirk on.
I rushed into the restroom and began crying.I really dunno why I was crying buh I was so hurt. I began washing my face when the she-devil walked in.I just ignored her and turned to leave when she spoke.
"Jay",
I stopped without turning and she continued.
" Jay is mine Nerd,he's always been mine ever since middle school and he'll forever remain mine. FOREVER!!Get that into your head and take a walk out of Jay's life before its too late"she warned and walked away.
I broke down and began crying again.What was happening to me??I guess I had the same fate as mum.What did I ever do to Jay to deserve this??He knew Shelby but he kept lying to me.
The bell rung,snapping me out of my pitiful thoughts. I freshened up and rushed to class to meet up with the next period.I ignored Jay's look as I entered the class and took my seat.

After school,I began leaving so I could get to the comfort of my bed.I was happy Jay wasn't in class,biology class was his last. I gave Shelby a last look before I left the class,she mouthed "Be warned" and gave me her evil smirk.I wished I could slap out that smirk from her face.I simply ignored her and walked out bumping into the last person I expected to see.
"Hey babe,here you are,come on,let's go home",Jay said holding my hand
" Let go Jay,I wanna go alone"I said breaking free from his grip.
"What's wrong babe??when did u start going home alone??come on Trix,let's..", Jay continued before I interrupted him.
" No Jay"I said almost raising my voice."I wanna go alone please."
"Talk to me,Tricia, what's wro-",
"JUST GET LOST JAY CONNER", I shouted at Jay,drawing the attention of some kids on the corridor.
I had tears in my eyes, Jay looked at me with both guilt and shock written over his face.But I didn't care,this was all his fault.
I rushed out of school and ran home, I needed the comfort of my bed.
