“No”

Louis and Harry looked at each other with confusion while Niall stared at Liam, tears threatening to spill.

“What do you mean ‘No’?” Harry asked, softly rubbing Liam's arm.

“No this can't be! I never asked for this!” Liam said raising his voice.

“Listen Li, this is a surprise for all of us, okay? But remember you told me you'll give yourself another chance...” Harry trailed off, trying his best to keep the situation at bay.

“I said I'd give myself another chance at a relationship!” Liam said, his voice clearly louder than necessary.

“These things come with relationships, man.” Harry argued.

“No they fucking do not! I'm not even ready for a relationship, let alone a fucking CHILD!” Liam was full on yelling now.

“Liam, you don't have to yell. Let's just sit down and figure this out please.” It was Louis' turn to comfort him now.

“There's nothing to figure out Louis. I don't want a child.” Liam's voice returning to normal.

“Liam listen to yourself! What's wrong with you? This is your child!” Harry was clearly running short on patience.

“I never asked for a child Harry.” Liam said.

He turned to Niall and continued;

“This was a mistake. Maybe you should abort the baby.” Liam said shaking his head.

Louis gasped, while Niall's hand immediately went to his bump-almost like a reflex-.

“STOP! Just fucking stop! If you don't want this baby then go to hell. It's my child! I'll take care of him or her on my own! I don't need help from an asshole like you. I'll give him or her the love of two fathers. We don't need you!” Niall exclaimed, tears now pouring out.

“Well then good luck to you” Liam said as he stormed out of the living room.

The moment the front door was heard being shut, Niall broke down.

He dropped to his knees and let out a heart breaking sob.

Louis was immediately by his side.

Niall held on to Louis and cried his eyes out.

He felt like his world was tumbling down.

Yes, he liked Liam but what was more painful was not that Liam rejected him, but the fact that Liam told Niall to abort his baby.

He would never forgive Liam about this.

While Niall cried hugging his best friend, Harry stood on the side, wanting to give them privacy.

Niall wiped his eyes after some time and looked at Louis with red rimmed eyes;

“I should go home, Lou.”

“Absolutely not Ni! You're staying here.”

“Please Lou. I wanna be alone for some time.” Niall sighed softly.

He continued once he saw the hesitation in Louis' eyes;

“I promise I'll be fine. I'll call you if there's any problem.” He assured.

“You sure?” Louis asked, still hesitant.

“Yeah, I'm sure.” Niall smiled.

“Okay then, off you go.” He returned the smile.

Niall shakily got up with a little help from Louis.

“Want me to drive you?” Harry asked.

“No. I'll be fine. Thanks.” He smiled one last time and left.

“Well I didn't see that coming.....” Harry said as he wrapped his arms around Louis' waist.

“Nobody saw that coming.” Louis said wrapping his arms around Harry's neck.

Harry softly pecked his lips and Louis buried his face in Harry's neck.

“Don't worry it'll be okay.” Harry said.

“I hope so....” Louis sighed.

“Why would Liam say something like that?” Louis frowned.

“Say what?” Harry asked.

“Why would he tell Niall to abort the baby?”

“Yeah that's actually really cruel.” Harry agreed.

“I mean, I get he wasn't ready for a bay but saying something like that is just wrong.”

“He was just stressed.”

“I hope Niall is taking it okay.” Louis worried

“Hey, don't worry your pretty little head about this. I'm sure everything will be alright. Niall's a smart guy, he'll figure it out.”

Louis just sighed loudly and hugged Harry tighter.

“Want me to take your mind off of things?” Harry said as he pressed a kiss to Louis’ neck.

Louis shivered a little, “As much as I'd love that, Aiden and Elijah are in the house.” Louis whispered.

“We can be quiet.... ” Harry trailed off, squeezing Louis' arse.

And yes they did exchange blowjobs in the kitchen while the toddlers were in the room upstairs, oblivious to what was happening.

Harry got home late that night and found Liam on the couch with a beer in hand.

Liam looked up at him when Harry made a noise. He held eye contact for a while but then looked away.

Harry decided it would be best to not talk about the baby situation right now.

After a few moments Liam spoke;

“Does Louis know what kind of work you do?”

Harry tensed at the question.
“No..... He doesn't.”

“Well then what did you tell him when he asked about your work?”

Harry sighed, “I told him I work with my uncle.”

“What kind of work do you do with your uncle?” Liam pressed.

“He didn't ask that okay! Stop interrogating me!” Harry snapped, Liam raised his arms in surrender;

“Okay, Okay! No need to snap. Just looking out for you. I mean stuff like this damages a relationship. ”

“I'll tell him when the time is right.” Harry answered.

“Okay then.”

After a few moments of silence, Harry continued;

“Do you wanna talk about what happened?”

Liam sighed and spoke after a few moments;

“I don't know man...”

“I mean, yeah I get you're stressed and a child right now was really unexpected..... But the abortion thing was wrong to say.”

“I actually feel bad for saying that.” Liam admitted. “I wanted something with Niall, but with what I said, I'm sure I just drove him away.”

“Hey, it's alright, I'm sure hell forgive you eventually. And maybe things will be different after the baby is born. Babies do make things better.” Harry smiled.

“Yeah, you would know.” Liam teased.

Harry just threw a cushion at him and the two friends settled into a comfortable silence after that.

“Why don't you invite Louis here sometime, I wanna apologize to him.” Liam said.

“Okay, I will. But it's  someone else you should be apologizing to.” Harry said looking pointedly at Liam.

“Yeah, but The way to a person's heart is through their stomach and through their best friend.” Liam said with a smile on his face.

Harry just chuckled and shook his head at his best friend.
