Samah woke up with severe headache,she have cried herself to sleep and couldn't even have a proper night sleep. She dressed up and went for breakfast with the girls,she met Breeze and Jess already sitting down

"Good morning!" She greeted them plastering a fake smile on her face

"Good morning!"  They all replied and Junia went to get their breakfast

" You don't look too well,what's wrong with you?"Breeze asked

" I'm fine"Samah replied looking away and her eyes caught Jess looking at her warily,as if he can read her inside out

"You're not fine,your eyes look puffy. It seems like you cried or something"Breeze insisted,Samah opened her mouth to talk but Jess beat her to it

"She said nothing is wrong with her,please respect her privacy" Jess said and Breeze open his mouth to argue but Samah responded

"Thank you" she said giving Jess a grateful smile. Junia return to the table with their breakfast and they started eating

Normally Eden is a quiet girl but it got much worse since Jess started bringing Jane to the table. They ate their breakfast silently and stood up to head to their classes,Jess quickly went closer to Samah murmuring some words in her ear,she nodded and Breeze caught this. He wondered what's going on between them. Jess left Samah going close to Eden,then they all suddenly realized Jane didn't join them for breakfast

"Can I talk to you for some seconds?" Jess asked

"No" Eden replied trying to walk away but Jess blocked her path

"It won't take long" Jess says

"My answer doesn't change" Eden said looking away. Jess sighed frustratedly about how stubborn Eden is,he grabs her hand and Eden's eyes widen and pull her out of the hall to a secluded place

"What are you doing?!" Eden asked getting angry,her voice came out louder than she intended

" I'm breaking up with Jane!" Jess suddenly said and Eden paused for a while

" How does that concerns me?" Eden asked feeling a very big weight lifting up from her

" It does because I decided not to give up on you no matter how hard you try to push me away"Jess said and chuckled. He went closer to Eden and Eden took a step back,her back hits the wall.

Jess grab her neck as if he's about kissing her,Eden raise her head up to look at his face,Jess slowly lean forward and Eden's eyes closed,when Eden thought Jess is going to kiss her, he whispered words on her ear

"Let's see how long you can fight against me and your body"Jess said and walk away.

Eden suddenly breathes out heavily,she didn't know when she held her breathe, she was slightly disappointed that Jess didn't kiss her but again she suddenly bursted into laughter,her sore mood for awhile going away. She's so happy that Jess decided to break up with Jane and he's going to come after her again, she's sure she don't know how strong she's going to be, to keep on pushing him away when he have consume all of her

Samah went inside the class and saw Ayaan on his usual sit, he laid his head on his desk and she can hardly see his face, her heart aches but she look away sitting down on her seat. Not so long Breeze joined her. Suddenly they heard the principal's voice from the intercom

There is an emergency assembly right now, all student should gather in the assembly hall!

Samah sighed and stood up thesame time everyone in the class did, she went over to meet Junia and they tug their hands leaving the class. They met Eden on the way and called her, she tug her hand with Samah too and they bursted into laughter. Samah noticed Eden is unusual lively

They went to the assembly hall and sat down with the other students, not so long after the principal join them in the hall with a woman wearing black and white corporate. Samah suddenly remembered the lawyer that was supposed to visit them the previous day didn't later come

"I have a feeling this is the lawyer that's supposed to visit us" Samah suddenly said

" Silence students! "They suddenly heard the principal said and everywhere became quiet

"I Know y'all are wondering why the sudden emergency assembly. Well barrister Adeyemi wasn't able to make it yesterday and decided to visit us today. Please welcome her"the principal said and they all started clapping

" Good morning students! My name is Adeyemi Faith popularly called barrister Adeyemi,I'm so glad to meet y'all and have this session with you"Barrister Adeyemi said and they all clapped again "you might actually think what is a lawyer coming to do in my school. Well I have always wanted to do this but never got the chance,I decided to take this chance now that I am on break. This program mostly concerns the art students that wants to be a lawyer,I'm here to tell you my story and be a mentor or a guide for you. To strengthen your desires and goals. Apart from that for those who don't have interest in becoming a lawyer or those from science classes I'm available if you need a lawyer to talk to,this program is going to take two to three weeks,I hope I get y'all maximum cooperation. Thank you!"barrister Adeyemi finished her short speech and everyone started clapping hard

"You heard that! Oh my God! This is so beautiful!" Samah said smiling widely,her friends just gave her a wary look thinking about what's so special about this program

But what they didn't know is that the program is very very special to Samah. Samah lost all hope the day her aunt told her she's not going to sponsor her University level,she saw her whole Dream clashing down and she broke down crying for three days

Her form master Mr Paul notice how moody Samah have become and decided to ask her what's wrong,Samah told him everything and Mr Paul brought up about this scholarship program she can actually go for,if she successfully finish the secondary section with good results they will automatically give her scholarship for the university level regardless of her choice of course. That have brought Samah's hope back and she started studying every night when Husna and her mom is asleep,with determination and God by her side she was able to win the scholarship and now having a lawyer to mentor her on what to expect is one of the greatest blessings to ever happen to her

She thought about Mr Paul for some moments and smiled,that man have been a father she lost at a very young age. She decided to visit him when they go on breaks.

"Silence!" The principal shouts as the gathering got disorganized,every students were busy talking to their friends "y'all heard what Barrister Adeyemi said,so to those interested students. There will be a form to fill, barrister Adeyemi has an office beside me so after classes or on a free period go to her office, collect the form and fill.  Dismissed!"the principal said and everyone stood up heading to their classes. Samah was in so much high spirit and she can't wait to go and collect her own form.

Samah left the class as soon as they have a free period, she wanted to go and collect her form. She was walking and smiling on her way to barrister Adeyemi's office when she came face to face with Ayaan. Her steps slowed and Ayaan look up to see her before looking away, he walk pass her without acknowledging her and that broke her heart. She decided to be positive and not let anything kill her good spirit, she knocked on barrister Adeyemi's office door and heard a faint come in. She went inside and met her wearing a medicated glass with a file on her hand

"Sorry for disturbing ma'am, I'm here for the form" Samah said and barrister Adeyemi smiled

" First person to come for the form, you must really want to become a lawyer"barrister Adeyemi said and Samah nodded " sit down"she said and Samah complied "what's your name?"

"Zulpha Samah Ize" Samah replied

"Wow! From Kogi state, an Ebira girl"barrister Adeyemi said and Samah nodded " tell me why you want to become a lawyer"

"I want to be able to fight injustice in the legal way and be a voice to the poor"Samah replied and barrister Adeyemi smiled

" The poor people?"barrister Adeyemi asked

"The poor in the sense that people who can't fight for their rights, I want to be their voice"

" What if you find out your client is the bad guy? "Barrister Adeyemi asked

" I wouldn't take a bad guy as a client"Samah replied and barrister Adeyemi broke into laughter

"You might never be rich"

"My goal of being a lawyer is not about being rich, I want to be a lawyer the bad guys fear and their lawyers being scared of going to court with me cause they know I will have a concrete evidence against them"Samah replied and barrister Adeyemi clapped chuckling

" I like you already"

After several questions from barrister Adeyemi, Samah filled the form and left her office, she sighed going to the class to get her stuff since the day have come to an end, she suddenly saw Jess beside her

"I told you we are going to talk later" Jess said and Samah nodded leaving the class with him, they went to a secluded area

"What's it?" Samah asked

"I know you're on bad terms with Ayaan" Jess said and Samah's eyes widen

"How did you know?! Like first of all how did you know we use to talk?! "Samah asked, she can't wrap her head around the fact that Jess of all people knows about it

"I don't know what to call it. We have been having this weird relationship between us and I don't know if we are friends yet but Ayaan is hurt, he broke down crying in front of me yesterday and since I knew him. He is a strong guy and doesn't look like a person that can just broke down in front of anyone"

" Did he told you what happened? "Samah asked

" Not in details but it's obvious you're someone very special to him"Jess said and Samah sighed looking away

" Samah! I don't know what's going on but all I do know is Ayaan might act all mighty but he is very fragile, he needs someone to rely on. He have been carrying everything himself and you have to give him time, he needs time to be able to open up to you. Don't push him away inside the rock again"Jess said and Samah didn't know when a tear escaped her eyes

Samah haven't been comfortable after what Jess said to her, it's obvious Jess care about Ayaan so much. She kept on turning and turning in her bed, she gave up and stand up heading to Ayaan's Cabin. She knocked on the door when she arrived but no one answered she tried opening the door but it was locked

She wondered where Ayaan might be and started running towards the garden, her steps slowed when she saw Ayaan on the floor crying his eyes out. Samah got weak immediately and went over to meet him, kneeling beside him, Ayaan raise his head up can't believe Samah will come over to meet him here after everything that happened

Samah wiped his tears away and tried fighting her own back

"I'm going to wait! I'm going to wait until you're comfortable to tell me everything, I want us to go back to the way we are before but please don't keep me waiting for long"Samah said and Ayaan bursted into tears. Samah hug him while he cries on her shoulder
