I had woken up in the hospital. Derek's mom and dad were asleep but Derek was up on his phone.

I looked around before my attention turned back to Derek, hoping he would look up at me or something. But no... He doesn't.

I feel my stomach drop, and water filled my eyes. I wanted to scream or shout at him. He never paid attention to me no more.

I thought me and him could have shared a kiss, like the way his parents do. One that makes you smile and happiness rush through your veins. But all I recieve from him are glares and bitter glances.

Or maybe that is just my head beginning to fill up with air like a balloon. But I soon let it go like a kite on a windy day.

My journal laid beside me on the night table along with a pen. I picked it up slowly, glancing at Derek who is still not noticing me. I then open my journal and starts writing in it, about everything that was going on in my past, present but I did not continue to the future. Hopefully I went somewhere safe....
