Canna was sitting in what she would hope to be complete silence but Andrew's blabbering distracted her. Her eyes were closed as she tried to figure out what Violet wanted. What powers? Canna felt like she would know if she had the ability to develop powers.

"Canary creams... Jordan has mentioned those before! Does that mean you taste good?" Andrew questioned, leaning over with his tongue sticking out of his mouth.

Canna let out a frustrated shriek and smacked him with one of her pillows.

"Don't you dare lick me!" Canna squealed, keeping Andrew at bay with several whacks from the pillow.

"But you looks so delicious!" Andrew whined, his tongue still sticking out of his mouth.

"I will cut off your tongue!" Canna screeched and Andrew quickly hid his tongue from sight.

"You're so meeeeeeeeean!" Andrew continued to whine before leaving the room.

"Canary creeeeeeeeeams!" He squealed, running down the hall.

Canna let out an exasperated sigh before staring at her shelf. She had noticed that each shelf had a small leaf marking carved on the side, it was hardly noticeable but stood out like a signature on an artwork. She slid off her bed carefully and rubbed her hand down the side, feeling the carving as it left her hand feeling warm. She kept her hand there, allowing the feeling to engulf her. She felt safe, as if nothing would harm her. Then, she pushed it. She didn't know why, she just did, and let out a gasp as the shelf slid slowly open like a door. She quickly wrenched it open to see a ladder that went down into the ground. Canna felt her heart begin to race and quickly began descending. Curiosity pulled at her like a puppet on strings, as she continued downward. Eventually her foot hit stone instead of a wooden rung and she was surrounded by utter darkness. The warm feeling of safety was gone and was quickly replaced with dread. A soft voice whispered in the dark and the words were indiscernable.

"H-hello..?" Canna called, listening as her voice echoed on the walls.

The whispering voice went silent before beginning to screech with such force, the walls began to shake. Canna felt her stomach lurch and her feet stumbled frequently as she ran back to the ladder. She held back the urge to scream in agony as her knee smacked against a rung, resulting in a splintering crack. Luckily it was the rung that broke, not her leg, and she continued to rush to make it to the top. It felt sudden but she made it to the top in what felt like less time to get down.

As she panted to regain her breath she looked up to see the shocked faces of her roommates. Well, except Andrew who was jumping up and down with joy, clapping his hands furiously.

"What did Violet tell you?" Vivien growled, her fists clenched. "There's no way you could have found that on your own!"

The urge to tell them everything was overwhelming but Canna remained silent.

"You-!" Vivien cried out blurting every swear word that came to mind as she strangled Canna.

"Vivi!" Justin called out causing Vivien to drop a gasping Canna to the ground. "Maybe Violet wanted her to find it."
