Getting a base
Tip # 2: Don't strain yourself when you Draw.
Don't promise you can draw something out of your capabilities. Seriously. People expect too much from you and then you'll disappoint them when you don't fulfill their expectations. This is why don't typically say anything to the person asking me to do art. Because if you tell them that you're going to do one thing and it comes out looking completely different it's kind of disappointing. Be unidentifiable. My art is very broad and vague. That's because I don't have a specific thing in mind when I'm drawing. I just doodle and then the doodle turns out to be something that could blossom into something bigger. And then it gives me a good idea which turns into a book series and then I get a little carried away with myself. Speaking of which don't get carried away with yourself. It's good to be creative but when you get the point where it's all you can think about, its not good. Drawing is kind of a lifestyle more than it is a hobby to me. I tell people on a daily basis what I go by. If you're not willing to learn how to draw yourself then I'm not going to waste my time to teach you. You need to be able to feel yourself and your art and when I mean feel I don't mean like actually feel I mean like make yourself feel good on the inside. You need to be able to make yourself feel better about yourself when you draw because if you don't feel good about what you Draw then it's not really worth drawing in the first place.
I suggest starting with little doodles and then making it kind of blossom into a bigger piece, it works. Happy drawing.
