-Chapter 01-
Alisson
"Mom! I'm going to the park!", I yelled as I struggled to slip into my hoodie and went out the front door of our house, I heard a faint 'Okay! Stay safe honey!' from my mom as I started walking down the pavement, straightening up my hoodie.
I'm Alisson Lily Grace. You may know me as a book lover, pun master type of girl.
A wierd personality, I know. Though my mom loves me the way I am.
She just doesn't want me cooped up in my room just reading books or scrolling on my cellphone all the time.
I came to a halt as I arrived at the front of the park, took in the amazing look of nature and went in.
The park was relatively huge and beautiful, they even have a lake in the middle of it with a bridge so you could cross or just feed the ducks with bread. It's like a mini place of freedom and inspiration.
I would draw the scenery if I could.
Though unfortunately, I'm horrible at drawing and that I can't exactly draw for my life.
To me, this is the perfect place to read books. Maybe even write one.
As I sit on a bench near the pond, I start to read again my favorite book, Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone, for what seems like the hundredth time.
I always love the places books take me to.
It feels like I'm away from my struggles for a while and get engaged into another world. Another universe.
'AJ Olsen, he's really sweet to Samantha. I wonder if I could score a guy like him someday...'
As I continue to read and focus on my book, I hear a voice asking if they can sit beside me. The voice surely came from a guy. Though not really interested in knowing what they look like, I mumbled a sure, not looking up from my book.
Few more minutes into me reading my book, my phone, which was in my pocket, started ringing.
Hoping to see what I want to see, I hurriedly placed in my bookmark on the page I was on, immediately closed the book and then placed it beside me.
Just as I hoped, it showed me what I wanted to see. A call from my bestfriend. I immediately answered the call.
"April Trace! Long time, no talk!" I said with a smile on my face.
"Oh shush you! I just left like two days ago!" She says with a laugh.
"Though still! I miss you!"
"I miss you too Ali! So tell me, any boys that had the guts to ask you out while I was gone?" She asked. I could practically imagine her trying to wiggle her eyebrows as she asked.
I never thought I was exactly pretty.
My auburn hair came from my mom, but I got my brown eyes from my dad. He's in a better place now.
"Nooo! You need to stop asking me those questions!" I replied with a laugh.
As me and April continued to talk, I noticed the guy who was sitting next to me start to pack up his things and leave. Though I didn't pay much heed.
Soon enough I noticed that it seemed like it was going to rain.
Great. Perfect timing. Note sarcasm please.
"Hey April, I got to go. I'm actually at the park right now and it feels like it's gonna rain." I told her over the phone.
"Okay! Make sure to message me okay! Love ya Ali!" I smiled at her words. She never fails to make me smile.
"Love ya too!"
Just as I ended the call, rain started to pour fast.
Why now?! It was bright and sunny awhile ago!'
As I wore my hoodie, immediately grabbed and held my book to my chest, I dashed straight home, trying not to slip and get myself in a stupid accident.
When I got home, I was panting so much, trying to catch my breath.
I was never the best in PE class.
Physical Education, more like public embarassment located in school.
At least my book is not wet.
Until I noticed it wasn't my book.
