light

and the

whimsical

for the moments

where life is

still

and everything is

quiet

the moments at

the beginning of the

world

when there wasn't this

bustle

of people

all the time

everywhere

when there was simple

silence

peace

i've been looking

for it

for the beginning

of the world

at the end of it

and i found it here

in your arms

where there is only

the soft shushing

of waves on sand

and the steady beat

of your heart

behind my head

you're something else

different than

them

the others

the other ones

because you are

peaceful

you are silent

you are the

beginning of the world

you are the

peace

that i've been

searching for

perhaps i don't need to

stray too far

to find my peace

perhaps it is in the

ivy-covered

chambers

of my heart

amidst

wisteria and roses

perhaps it is in the

overgrown floors

of a marbled castle

once grand

but now reclaimed by

the wild

perhaps it is in the

cobbled path

that i follow

with your hand in my own
