1. Of course, just like other names of my characters in this series, one of the inspirations for one of my main characters name was someone I work with! They only have similarities in the pronunciation, and I thought changing the first three letters would make it unique, but then upon searching on Google, it was a common name yikes.

2. The way that Mara called Big Ryan "Big" was just a fun thing to say for me. Well, aside from that she thought he was huge enough, I think that also suits his character and personality.

3. Mauro was supposed to be the one I would be pairing up with Mara, but I thought Jorge's personality and characteristics would be Mara's type so I went with him. If the original plan came through, all the boys would just come after her.

4. Prologue was never meant to go that way. Madam Josa wouldn't exist, but I just thought if I'd swing that way and made that one of the character's backgrounds would make sense as to why she wanted to go abroad—and that was because of what was read to her.

5. Caiden's appearance in the story wasn't meant to be on the birthday weekend, he was supposed to be one of the supporting characters - but then I forgot to include him in the early parts, my bad.

1. Aside from Birth of Lies in Sicily which took me 11 months to finish, to date, in WTS, Safe Haven has taken its spot to the top for me to complete it just before it turned 1 year old on Wattpad. It was one of the stories I posted that I had no concrete plot yet, but I knew where the story would be heading, time, life and adulting got in the way as well so it took a while.

2. Mara's incident with Pieter isn't one of the subplots, it would just be their love triangle, but adding a situation where her life in Safe Haven kept getting harder and miserable would make sense in a way that she thought Cape Town would be her escape to her lonely life in the Philippines.

3. Since the BOLIS, Cape Town has had more mentions and appearances of former and future characters in the series.

4. Cape Town is marked as the tenth story of the series and the second story from the second generation.

5. Appearances of a future character or next story is in Cape Town.
