I noticed that kids nowadays have mobile phones that are wayyy better than what I have.

My first mobile phone was a Nokia, a very very old type. It was so bulky and heavy with small buttons on it.

With the advancement of technology, mobile phones that kids held in their hands are sleek smartphones. Oh yeah, it's a smartphone now.

Kids as young as I don't know maybe around 4 owned an iPhone?? Wow. I know it's their parents who passed down their used iPhones to them. But really?? I thought they should be holding colour pencils/ sticker books/ a doll or a car??

Back then (urgh, I feel old saying that), when kids kick up a fuss parents would carry them and sing them a song or whatever.

Now, parents would just plant their kids in front of a tablet/iPad and let the gadget entertain/comfort their child.

I'm 17, and I don't have that luxury of owning those fanciful gadgets without earning them.

Our entertainment before the invasion of technology was hopscotch, playing with skipping rope or catching. How I missed those times *sighs*

At least we're lucky enough to be born earlier as we can experience those fun times.
