Sneak Peek {1}
"The number of sinners are increasing quickly," Master Salvador sipped from his golden teacup. "It saddens me actually." He sadly laid his tea on his white marble table.
"A lot of people went to the devil's path, and sooner or later they'll fall into Limbo." Benjamin lifted his dark boot and put it on the other while he folded his arms across his chest.
Master Salvador's golden honey eyes shimmered a little and he didn't give Benjamin a glance, his wavy sunny yellow hair fell over his shoulder as he wiped the fallen tear quickly with his honey sleeve.
"Why are you weeping?" Benjamin leaned forward with a squint on his lifeless blue eyes.
"I feel... like good is fading, and the world is going to turn into chaos." Salvador sniffed.
"You can rarely find the pure white hearts at this time, the world is already changing." Benjamin picked up his dark navy teacup with bat wings at the sides, he sipped from it as the black wings fluttered at his touch.
"You aren't happy either." Salvador said.
"Anger is slowly taking over that's all," Benjamin replied coldly as his stare sent chilling and dark energy towards Salvador, and it told him that Benjamin was going to punish a lot of sinners than before and a few people for Salvador to give the permit to the Higher Skies. Benjamin never tucked away his deep sea hair out of his right eye but rather checked if his dark navy suit was neat even though it had burnt edges on his sleeves and coat, he then rubbed the small orb that was in a form of a skull that held his tie together.
Salvador lowered his face to hide his sorrow of the sins' increase. "Sinners never learn do they? They can't break their addiction of their wrongful desires like the fire's endless hunger." Benjamin added as he glued his back to his dark armchair.
"What if they weren't addicted to these sins?" Salvador whispered, as if Benjamin didn't hear him.
"I don't think I understand your point." Benjamin's voice darkened.
"What if... they had to in order to... Survive? Return what's been stolen?" Salvador gave an example. "What if someone did a wrong thing for the right reason?" he added. Benjamin's eyes widened and blinked at him.
"You call a sinner who goes for lust is trying to be righteous?" Benjamin's voice rose a little loud.
"No, you misunderstood the concept. What I meant to say-" Benjamin smacked his fist on the table.
"You call a man with sloth is 'righteous' or a 'victim'?" His voice rose higher.
"Ben just listen to me please," Benjamin paused for a moment, then he slumped back to his chair.
"Thank you, now. Do you remember when Sir Austin gave Irwin the pills on purpose? Even when he knew it was wrong to do that?" Salvador asked calmly and Benjamin only nodded without a word. "When we first saw his act, what have you thought about him?" he asked again as Benjamin's fingers tapped on the arms of his chair.
"He didn't care about his health so he gave him anyway, so that's a-".
"He did it so Irwin could learn a lesson for his countless sins," Salvador corrected him. "He knew it was a sin, but he did it for the right thing." He added.
Silence then fell between them for a moment, Salvador waited for him to react or comment on his thought.
"But still, a sin is a sin." He rose his head high as if he made up his mind.
"Ben remember, which one of Austin's bars was the highest?" Salvador stared at him as Benjamin turned his face away mumbling.
"Good." He mumbled in defeat.
"I can't hear your answer."
"Good." He said it again but louder. Not pleased with that sinner's permit to the Higher Skies.
"That sin wasn't big enough, so why throw a Darmaj with high golden bar while the darker bar was low?".
"No matter how big or small all sins have a huge impact on the individual's life!" Benjamin finally yelled.
"But it depends on how many sins is committed Ben." Salvador jumped from his chair, surprising Benjamin with his sudden movement. "Are you refusing my theory?" His eyes pleaded.
"So that was a theory then?" Benjamin scoffed.
"But I do have a statement about one thing," Salvador took a deep breath before he spoke again. "It's that Irwin's influence has a negative effect on good people thus causing them to commit these sins against their Master in order to ease their pain and suffering!".
"And only making it worse," Benjamin growled. "What are you trying to say Salvador?" he growled again.
"What I'm trying to say is... don't judge people from their sins without a second thought, and also... I'm ashamed of my own gender as a man ever since Sir Henry Brown took over!" Tears began to escape from Salvador's eyes heavily. "Even though I'm the Master of peace I'm not supposed to let anger take over me yet here I am now! So I don't mind letting Faith take my place for I know she'll be most peaceful and forgiving than me." His voice broke.
"Salvador-"
"Enough," he silenced him. He was surprised to see that the Master of peace himself just snapped and broke down after being so forgiving and gentle even towards the most cruel and harsh people.
"I say we as men should let women take over leadership, for I know for certain that men are unstable while women are more stable and patient than we are." After that Master Salvador turned his heels and strode away, leaving Master Benjamin wordless and shocked of his statement.
