So naturally, I was the odd one out in yet another conversation at school. I was sitting at a group of desks in class the other day with a bunch of girls and one guy.

So, the guy asks: "Why does every girl always open their mouth when they put on mascara...?"

Girl 1: "Oh, I so do that. But... Umm...I don't know why."

Girl 2: "Uh, I think it's for balance or something? But yeah, I do that, too."

Girl 3: "I don't know, I just know I do it without thinking."

Serena: "Actually, it's because when you're applying mascara, you're scared you're going to accidentally poke yourself in the eye with it, so without noticing you start to hold your breath to focus more, and you open your mouth to breathe out through it since you temporarily stopped breathing through your nose. Oh, and I don't open my mouth when I'm putting on mascara, it stays closed."

*crickets chirping*

*everyone is staring at me like I'm a freak*

Serena: *nervously glances at everyone* "....What?"
