A lot of you Pokemaniacs out there that read my stuff PM me and say that you wish you could write like I do, and I try to offer you advice to help you out to the best of my abilities, but now I'm starting to realize that it's just not enough information. So, in this chapter, I will go through in detail my entire process for writing a GAMEVERSE Pokemon Fanfiction. In this chapter, I'm going to show you my exact process for how I came up with TSTHOAT (To Steal the Heart of a Thief) as an example. I don't know the first thing about writing Mangaverse or Animeverse fanfiction, so good luck with that. If you don't need/want this information, don't read it, but who knows? Maybe you'll find something helpful in here. I'll have it divided into categories so it's super easy to read ^-^ this is a lot of info, so... *deep breath* Here we go.

~Thinking of a General Story Idea~

Surely, you have SOME idea of what you want your story to be about. Even if it's an idea as basic as your OC going on an adventure in a region, that's good enough.

Next step, decide:

1) Which type of game?
a) Ranger
b) Adventure
c) Mystery Dungeon

Next, do your research, whether that involves Google or playing through the game yourself, jot down a few things you might need to know when writing your book. For example, if your book is an adventure in Kanto, some things I might write down is a general idea of the game's plot, have a copy of the map, glance at Kanto's Pokedex, etc.

For TSTHOAT, I:
• played through the game again
• jotted down major events of the plot
• printed out a map of Almia to look at
• wrote down the name of every cannon character and their respective roles

~Creating a Plot~

Using the information you've gathered, try to think of a general plot for your story, which includes:

• Beginning
• Setting (time, place, etc)
• Important Events leading to Main Conflict
• Main Conflict
• Important Events leading to Resolution
• Resolution
•Ending/Epilogue

Also, you'll want to have SOME IDEA of how to start and end your story. I recommend planning the whole thing out before even starting it. Plan out every chapter and write a basic summary of what's going to happen in each chapter of your wattpad drafts so that when you get to that chapter to write it, you'll know what to write. It helps keep your plot consistent, avoid errors such as forgetting to make a major event happen, and it prevents writer's block. You must must must MUST have an interesting plot throughout an entire book in order to make it successful and keep your readers engaged.

For TSTHOAT, I started out with the whole basic idea of having my OC Rena be some sort of criminal that infiltrated the Ranger School to keep tabs on Keith Dazzle. Next, I decided how I was going to end the story, and decided that I was going to write this book based on only the beginning and end of the game with nothing in-between XD so then I planned out every chapter of the 40 chapters in my drafts, and then jotted down what I was going to write in each outline.

~Casting~

Now, it's time to pick your characters that are mainly involved:
• make a list of all the characters in your game, important or not.
• highlight the ones you want to use.
• ***OPTIONAL*** Create any OCs you want to add into the story. They can even be the main character if you want.
• develop a physical description for each character (original or not), personality, flaws, etc.

For TSTHOAT, I:

• decided what Rena would look like
• created her personality
• decided her flaws
• gave her a fear of thunderstorms
• made her a backstory

~Finalizing Your Story~

Now that you have all the parts, you just have to think of a title, make a cover (which I show you how to do that for you mobile-app users in my walk-through Make Your Own Book Cover) ---and then just write the story!
