So, I've talked about Animazement a few times, and my cosplay lineup, but I thought I'd do the official "post a collaged photo" of it thing.

I'll be Cinder Fall for two days, and Weiss Schnee and Mikasa Ackerman for one day each.

What do I have left to do for my three costumes?

Mikasa is done. Like, completely.

As for Weiss...? Well, I made her jewelry, including the hairpin, and I have my wig, which I got from Arda wigs and I love it so much oh my god. I've ordered my boots, but they probably won't arrive for another month. I have also determined that I will be re-making Myrtensaster in my wood shop class next, after I finish Cinder Fall's dual blades, and I'll use that nicer version for the convention. Now, the last thing I'm waiting on is my costume to arrive sometime in the next week, which I had custom made by one of my private tailors because EVERY WEISS SCHNEE COSTUME YOU CAN ORDER ONLINE SUCKS. Like, seriously. They're all so terribly wrong and inaccurate!!! Weiss is white, NOT blue. I swear to god all of her costumes all over the Internet are blue, when the character herself is all white. She only APPEARS to be slightly blue in the anime because they have to cast light grey shadows on her to make her look 3D, but that still does not make her blue!! And then of course SOMEONE had to draw a beautiful piece of fan art for Weiss that colored her blue. That probably didn't help.

Google Weiss Schnee cosplay and cringe with me. 95% of it is terrible blue dresses. She's literally the only RWBY character who gets messed up so much in cosplay...

Anyways, once I get my dress and jacket, I'll try it on and make sure everything fits right. If it doesn't, I'll buzz it through my sewing machine and fix it up. I also have to be conscious of the details, like the painted emblem on the back of the jacket, and the designs all over the dress... Basically, if I get it and see that it sucks (which I highly doubt it will. My tailor is awesome) ...then I will just fix it myself. No biggie.

Now, onto the most amazing character I've ever cosplayed: Cinder Fall...

Originally, I was going to try and make her costume myself, but after failing for the SIXTH TIME I rage-quitted and just had that same tailor doing my Weiss costume make me one for Cinder too, which should also arrive sometime in the next week. Although I'm disappointed in myself for not being quite good enough yet to sew and construct ALL of my cosplay costumes, just having my tailor make it for me would be cheaper in the long run... I probably blew through $200 in material for the six attempts I tried making her costume, when I only paid $130 for my tailor to just make it for me...

So, same rules as Weiss's dress apply to Cinder's. I've got to make sure it fits, the gold detailing on it is accurate, everything looks good... Blah blah blah. I already have cut and styled my wig, made my damn feathery brooch from scratch, found the most AMAZING pair of high heels to use for $20 on Amazon, and my tailor is also making me the shorts that go under Cinder's dress so that takes care of that. I'll have somebody draw Cinder's tattoo on my back whenever I need to cosplay her, I have red nail polish already, and I made both my anklet and earrings ages ago ;) I'm mostly all set here!

Oh, and also, I won't be using my dual blades for my Cinder Fall cosplay. I'm saving those for when I do Stealth Cinder in the future.

No, I'm not using them because I have something better...

FIRE FANS. FUCK YEAH.

So, when I say fire fans, I mean giant fans with long pieces of sheer fabric sewn onto it that are ombré yellow to orange to red, and it looks like fire when I wave them around. And, because I did Color Guard and Winter Guard for so many years, I have a pretty damn good idea of how to wave them around to look cool. Pictures of my fans are on my Twitter and Instagram, but I'll post full pictures of my cosplays when Animazement rolls around in May, and Rose and I go and take 1000 photos!

Time to start stalkerishly counting down the days until the convention!!
