So, what's up with all the homphobes and stuff? What's wrong with it?

I hate it when I see two people of the same gender holding hands or something, and everyone around them is all like 'ewwww are they gay or something?'. In public, I'm normally quiet and I keep to myself, but whenever I see something like this I'm always on the verge of snapping.
