Being a tech for theater problems
So I've been helping with props and painting for A LONG TIME.
The reason being is because my dad is a drama teacher for a highschool.
So I've been helping paint and stuff since I was 4.
One of the problems, when I was around 9, is that there would be a certain group of people who think I'm useless and that they know everything. BUT NO SIR. You don't know how to open a stupid paint can. I know-how. You use the tool which is in that drawer.
I offer my help to them and they would give me that look that says: Ummm.... excuse me. No. I. Got. This.
So I would grab it out of their hands because they are wasting time trying to figure out something that's so easy while they should be painting a set-piece one color.
I would get the tool and do it for them. They then would proceed to say an odd thank you and ask how I know this. And I would reply. I'm the teacher's daughter and I've been doing this longer than you have. (Highschool is only for 4 years and after that people leave.) Because of this, I have the right to say that I've been there longer than the seniors.
