The Ship That Sank
Water costal waves sent me on a coast
Through rocky water to a near shore
Waves crashing had me thrashing all about the ships starboard.
I searched the near seas for something more.
Hoping to find some shore to land aboard.
Ship shaking water thrashing on board.
Soon the gaping hole fills with water
What to do now?
Abandon the ship I must or to ride this one out?
The tides are a changing pulling tugging me under.
I hold my breath tight
I hold on for dear life
I begin to fight
Water soon begins to fill my lungs
I try to hold on grasping gasping for more air.
But nothing fills them quite like air
Nothing ever seems to come remotely close to quenching its thirst.
More then the feeling of air
