Loving Your Robot Girl

It was the age of androids; Y'know, the human-like robots that assisted people in their daily needs. The future was indeed currently the present. Started out with the Roomba, and now we had walking, talking androids. The "Uchinaru Heiwa" corporation specialized in creating these androids for the betterment of mankind, helping people with needs while they were away, or even in the home. They did chores, cooked food, took care of the children, kept up a conversation, they could even eat and drink along with the family, though they really didn't need the nutrition. They were the perfect household companion.

The designs were identical to humans, though unfortunately, they lacked emotions. You'd normally get them custom ordered, tailored to your liking; However, these androids were a very expensive product. You could customize the gender, the name, the assets, the hair, the eye color, skin color, you name it, though of course it had a price. It was like buying a custom Royce, but it was a robot.

I for one was fortunate enough to snag one. I had been saving up money since I was roughly 8 years old, and when something that big came out a decade later, I had to have one for myself.

I lived in a more modernized house, but most of the interior was decorated with classic things, retro things, stuff to have that old-timey kinda feel. Some of the other parts, like my room for example, were more techy and futuristic looking, so was the kitchen with its appliances. I lived alone; Well, kinda, cause I had my android as well. My parents worked for the android corporation as lead computer scientists. They were the ones to actually invent the Comprehensive A.I. that the androids used. They got funded quite substantially, so they pay for my housing and bills and whatnot, they even chipped in a little on the android for me when I bought one.

I was homeschooled my entire childhood, and I made friends with the kids in the neighborhood. My parents knew almost everything. They were so smart. They taught me all about computers and A.I. and math, and basically everything I needed to know to prepare me for my lonesome and more.

Now, the android I got was a girl. Roughly young adult looking, mid to small chest size, around 5'6 in height, brown hair that went to her mid-back, and burgundy eyes. It took a long time for me to figure out what I wanted to name her. There were hundreds of names I could have thought up. Most of my friends made their androids' names something funny, like "2B", "Alpha", "Robobitch" or "TWL (Toaster With Legs)". I wanted to give mine something clever, cute, and enough to make her feel a little unique, though I had to wait till she arrived before I could give her one.

To think..

I remember the exact day I received her...

I was sitting on my couch, watching television. I had just gotten used to my new home. I was sipping on some freshly squeezed OJ, but in a coffee mug, cause I thought it was funny. Suddenly, a knock came to the door. I sat my mug down on the small table next to me and went to the door, opening it to see two people: A corporation agent, and... My android. She was so pretty, prettier than what was shown on the corporate website. She wore a basic Uchinaru Heiwa T-shirt, and the same branded gray sweat pants. Every model that's brought to a person's house wore the same things. She looked lifeless though, as if she was powered off.

"Good day. I present to you, your android. Now, she won't fully activate until you sign here, and here. Plus, you will need to give her a name." The man held out a digital pad and a mobile pen. I grabbed the pen and signed my name twice. Then... I put the name I wanted for her in. I decided to name her "QT". "Q" "T" (Cutie, get it?). After pressing complete, the android's eyes lit up with life and she walked in the house with ease. "You have a good one now. Enjoy your new android, sir." He tilted his hat and left.

I closed the door and turned around to see QT looking around the house. "I guess I should say welcome to your new home, QT." I gave her a welcoming smile. She then turned to face me, her face being as emotionless as you could probably imagine. Her eyes were as close to human as you could get, though if you looked hard enough, you could tell that they were robotic, due to the tech hidden in the iris. She was even able to blink normally.

"Yes, I believe that is the proper greeting of a new individual into someone's home, and I thank you." She spoke to me. Her voice sounded naturally human, though monotone. She had a tiny inflection to her voice, but it wasn't really much. Her Thank You felt kind of dull without having any emotion behind it. "I have scanned the current layout and state of the house, is there anything you would like me to do for you?" She asked me. I had a thought in mind, well, two actually. I had to see what level of sentience the A.I. was, and how well her movements were coordinated.

"Oh, uh, nothing too important at the moment. Would you mind walking around the room a little bit?"

"May I ask why? The task seems to gain nothing in value." Hearing her say that answered one of my thoughts. She was able to think for herself and assess tasks before doing them. I assumed I could just tell her to do it anyway and she'd do it, but it made me wonder what would happen if someone gave her the order to do something wrong, or bad.

I shook my head, keeping my smile. "Don't worry about it, just walk a little, swing your arms a bit, move around." She did as she was told and began to walk around the room, circling the couch at a normal pace. Her arms swung a little as she walked. It was quite remarkable. She was unquestionably cute. The way she walked and the way her body moved was so human-looking. The joints were perfect. The skin must have been a silicon base with some sort of microfiber entwined within to make it feel and work like real human skin. "Alright, that's good, thank you."

She stopped where she was and turned to me. "Will there be anything else?" She asked me.

"Do you mind cooking dinner for me and yourself?"

"I would like to remind you that as an android, I have the capability to eat, but it does not benefit me. You would be wasting food by allowing me to eat."

"Yeah, that may be true, but I'd kinda feel bad if you were to cook something and you weren't able to eat it yourself. So, I'd like for you to eat with me." I scratched the back of my neck. I could tell it took a moment for her to process what I had said, as she was silent for a couple seconds.

"I see. I suppose I will dine with you then, and I appreciate your consideration. What can I make with the ingredients you possess?" She started walking over to the pantry.

"I believe I have some recently thawed out steaks and some eggs left. Maybe we could have Steak and Eggs?"

"Alright, I will prepare them as soon as possible." She then began to go at it, getting everything she needed, and getting started on cooking. I sat on the couch and continued watching television, and every so often, looked back at her to check on her. She had perfect cooking skills. Seemed the corporation really knew what they were doing, though... they were still lacking on personality.. and emotion. An Idea started brewing in my head, but I couldn't get the full grasp of it yet.

After a while, the aroma coming from the kitchen grew more and more wonderful. Then, the food was ready. "Our meal is complete. I believe the table is the best place to eat."

I got up and walked over to the table, which was already plated. The food looked stunning, almost looked like it was prepared by a MasterChef. "Thank you for preparing this."

"There is no need to thank me. I only did as you ordered." She took a seat and I did the same. We sat opposite of each other. To me, it was a bit awkward, but that changed after I took a bite of my food. Instant flavor hit my taste buds like crazy. It was amazing.

"This is wonderful, QT!" I looked up at her and she herself took a bite. "You did a great job!"

"I agree. This is quite good." She still had her emotionless, expressionless face when saying that, including her monotone voice, but something else caught my attention.

"Wait, you can taste it, too?" I asked her. I was surprised to see that she was able to taste something. "You have taste buds?"

"That is correct. It is perplexing to me as to why. If it is unnecessary for me to eat food, then why would I need the ability to taste?"

"I don't know. Maybe to help with feeling more human and natural to your owners?" I shrugged.

"That could be the case." We both started eating some more.

"Do you have other senses? I know you have sight and hearing, but do you have, smell, for instance?"

"Yes, I am able to smell."

"That's interesting." I wondered how they implemented the sense of taste and smell. My thoughts were probably nodes or something in the mouth and nose that somehow used numbers from a range to set a specific taste or smell. That sounded reasonable, but also too simple. "I assume you also have the sense of touch, as well?"

"Yes, but I am unable to feel pain or pleasure. As an android, my body can take much more damage than a normal human, so to maximize efficiency, they did not give androids the ability to feel pleasure nor pain. Though, even if my body is more durable than a human's, it is not indestructible, so I have to keep caution when completing tasks that contain hazards."

"I see, could that also be a reason why your emotions are absent?"

"Perhaps. I do not really know. Would you like to hear my theory upon your inquiry?"

"I'd love to, QT."

"My hypothesis is that they gave androids the lack of emotions so that they could create less judgement of situations or tasks."

"So, making decisions without the bias of emotion?"

"Precisely."

"I see. I guess that makes sense. It allows you to follow orders from your owner without having an emotional tie to them that could cloud your judgement or decision-making."

"Mm." She nodded her head after taking another bite of food. She swallowed her food and began to speak again. "I find humans intriguing. They possess emotions and the ability to be hurt, while we androids do not. It causes me to run simulations in my head where I have emotions as well. I inquire about what happiness feels like, or a cut on my arm."

As we ate, I had many thoughts in my head. What would it be like to have no feeling of pain, nor happiness or sadness. For some reason, it didn't sit right in my head. It felt, dull, lifeless, unfun...unhuman. Looking at QT, I didn't want her to have that kind of life. Suddenly, that idea I had brewing previously came straight into my noggin. If Uchinaru Heiwa couldn't make emotions, then....then I would. It would take days, maybe weeks of research and studying, but I had a plan and I wanted it, not just for challenging myself, but for her sake as well. I had to ask her...

"Say, can I ask you something?"

"I do not see a reason why you would need my permission to ask me something. I am your android."

"Alright, then. I'll go ahead." I gulped. "So, I was wondering if maybe you...wanted to have emotions?"

"You are asking me if I wish to have emotions implemented into my A.I.?"

"I am. I thought that maybe you'd be much happier with having feelings, and being able to smile and laugh and to feel sad. I thought it would be fair for you to understand how humans feel since you and other androids are around us all the time without knowing the feelings." She didn't say anything for a few seconds. She just kept her straight face. I had no clue what was running through her circuits.

"You are a very interesting owner."

"Hm?" I tilted my head a little, confused at her statement. I then giggled a little. "What do you mean by that?"

"You are kind, and as I have observed, very intelligent for your age."

"Well, my parents were the ones that created your A.I. to begin with. I grew up homeschooled by them, and they've taught me... a plethora of things about what they do and how the do it. I didn't really get it at first, but after more studying and research, I started to understand it." I then took the last bite of my food before she asked the million dollar question.

"Do you believe you have the ability to add emotions to my A.I.?"

"It'll take several days to a couple weeks of research and work, but I think so." It took her another moment to ponder her next set of words.

"After some thinking, I have decided that I would like to have human emotions."

"I'm glad you trust me." I gave her a smile.

"As an android, I am forced to trust you.....But, I ran a several simulations and there were none that had you do anything harmful to me, not that I would feel anything regardless."

"I wouldn't hurt you if I was forced to, QT. Remember that."

"Storing that in my system. Complete." Hearing her say that caused me to laugh, which caused her to tilt her head curiously. We both got up from the table, both grabbing our plates and drinks. "I will clean the kitchenware for you."

"Nah, don't worry about that. Just throw them in the dish washer and it'll do the trick." She did as she was told and put the dishes in the appliance and came over to me. "Here, take a seat. Relax a little before bedtime." She slowly sat down on the couch, sitting upright at perfect posture. "You can lean back, y'know, take a load off. That's the point of couches."

"I...see." she slowly leaned back until she was against the back of the couch. "It is hard to relax when my primary motive is to complete tasks for you."

"That's perfectly fine. Speaking of bedtime, I have a spare bedroom with a bathroom and closet. That'll be your room.; We can grab you clothes tomorrow."

"Yes sir. I again appreciate your consideration, owner."

"Not a problem." I smiled. "Do you need sleep?"

"While sleeping is not fully necessary, it helps in processing data from the day"

"I see... Interesting." Later in the night, we both went to sleep. It took me a bit to help QT understand how the shower and bedding worked and whatnot, but it all turned out fine in the end.

...

We did grab clothes for her the next day, went to get groceries as well.

...

The next week and a half were brutal. I spent hours upon hours on my computer, figuring out ways to make emotions possible for her A.I.. I was alone a lot of that time, typing away, clicking away, thinking away. Every so often, QT would walk in and bring me drinks and snacks, and check on my progress. She'd help with chores around the house, cleaning it every day. We would also have conversations about each other, I'd tell her about my childhood, she'd tell me more about the Uchinaru Heiwa corporation. I was working and working and working, striving to accomplish something, and to help her.

"You have been working for many hours at a time, with very little sleep. I suggest you take time to rest." She was right. I had taken a lot of all-nighters and it was taking its toll.

"I'm so close, I can feel it." Then suddenly, it was as if a lightning bolt struck my brain with the best idea. "That's it.. That's it! I've figured it out!"

"Hm?"

"I figured out a way to implement emotions to your A.I." I started vigorously typing and working, adrenaline pumping through me, giving me the extra energy I needed.

"How would that be?"

"My plan is to create a Sub-A.I. that connects and works with yours. I will be not only implementing emotions, but expressions as well, and maybe a couple other things."

"How will this Sub-A.I. work?"

"It's a learning algorithm not much different from your own, meaning you shouldn't get emotions immediately. You'll have to learn them over time through experience and observation of others. It'll end up sculpting a personality for you not unlike the average human."

"I suppose that would work."

"You have a way I can connect you to my computer so I can update your system?"

"I do. My hand has a plug with a cord that runs through my arm. I can plug it into the computer when needed." She then pressed the bottom of her palm to her left hand. a small plug appeared from inside her palm. She pulled it out, showing a long cord.

"Ah, I see. Alright, perfect." She then put it away. "I'll let you know when I finish, then we can start."

"Mm." She nodded.

"You know, I'm a little excited, actually."

"What about?"

"I want to see you smile." She took a few seconds to process....

"I understand. Let me know if you need anything more." She then exited the room, leaving me back to my work. It took 2 more days of almost breakless work to finish, but at least I was finally done.

"Hey, QT! I'm finally finished!" It took a second but she made her way to my room.

"That is good. What shall I do?"

"You can lay down on my bed and take a nap or something while you're hooked up to my computer. The process'll likely take a couple hours."

"I see. Alright then." She nodded pulling out the cord from her hand. I grabbed it and ran It over to my computer, plugging it in. She then got into my bed and under the covers. "What will you do while I am updating?"

"I'll sit right here with you, so if anything goes wrong, I'll be right here to help." She nodded her head.

"You are being kind again. After I wake up, I will find a way to return your kindness, when I'm able to emote."

"All in due time, but thank you, QT." She then closed her eyes and powered down. I went over to my computer and clicked the start button. I then went over by the bed and pulled a chair over, sitting down. I pulled my phone out and started watching some videos while she slept. I couldn't help but feel proud of what I was doing, but at the same time, I felt weird, knowing I was fundamentally changing my parents' work as well as changing QT.

...

Like I had said previously, it took a couple hours for the thing to install, and I never left my spot. She looked so peaceful, and cute, and I had anxious thoughts of her just... not waking back up... and it worried me a little. My computer then made its completion sound. I got up and walked over to it, checking everything before unplugging her from the system. The cord slowly reeled back into her hand and I sat back down next to her to see what would happen. She slowly opened her eyes. I immediately started sweating a bit.

"Mm..." She blinked a couple of times before looking around with her eyes fully open. She then noticed me. She kinda stared at me for a bit without speaking.

"Morning, sleepy head." I smiled at her.

"I... Believe it is in the afternoon, I do not see a reason why you would be greeting me as if it were morning." I giggled as she slowly sat up on her own. She placed her hand on her chest. She seemed to be confused, but it was a little hard to tell.

"You alright?"

"I have an unusual feeling in my chest, it is like I yearn for something." This surprised me a little. I didn't expect her to have some sort of emotion right off the bat. "As I was powered down in sleep mode, I ran simulations in my head again as to what having emotions would be like, and something inside me caused me to feel like I could not wait for it."

"That's probably anticipation. You're excited about having emotions and being able to convey them. I'm a little surprised to see that being the first emotion you feel, let alone it being so quickly."

"So then it was a success?"

"Well, if you're feeling what you're feeling, then I suppose it was. This should be a happy thing." She then came to a sudden realization, before seemingly processing something.

"Th-Then... I wanted to... Thank you. You have worked so hard for my sake, you have been very kind to me, and have taken good care of me since I've been in your home so far." Slowly I saw her expressionless face change in front of my eyes. My heart was struck with awe.

"...QT...." She was....Smiling.

Her cheeks were even a bit rosey. Which was great, since I added some pigmentation changes along with the emotions. It was the most precious thing I'd ever seen in my life. Even my face was also a bit flushed after seeing that. She was so freaking cute. It almost felt like my whole world flipped around and opened up at the same time. "Thank you... For allowing me to feel this way."

"It's...no problem at all. To be honest, I'm quite happy myself."

"So this is what being happy feels like." She took a look at her hands, trying to understand the new sensation. "It is a wonderful feeling."

"Yeah, it is a great feeling. I'm glad you're experiencing it, and there's still many more to learn and experience."

"Mm.. You are correct, and I suppose I am excited to learn them." She nodded happily.

"Good."

...

...

Two years. I've had her in my life for a full Two years now. It was crazy to think about. QT had been learning so much about emotions, she was almost like a different person. She had been seeing a plethora of different variants of media and she's even been out in public plenty of times to learn first hand. Her dialect had been changing too. She was starting to use more contractions within her speech patterns. Her voice gained octaves and she was able to converse without being so monotone. Day by day, she grew more human in nature, differing greatly to what she originally was. I could tell she was happy with what she's becoming, and I was too.

I was busy working on something when I had received a knock on the door. I had recently given QT the task of going to the grocery store on her own, grabbing a few things, and coming back, but for some reason it felt like she was taking a bit longer than I'd expect her to. I got up from my work desk and made my way to the door. I opened it to a very worrisome sight. QT stood there, beaten and battered. Her skin was damaged, cut. Her elbow joint was broken, turned the wrong direction, and there were some loose wires hanging out of her wrists.

"QT! What the hell happened to you!?" I quickly pulled her into the house and closed the door shut. She had a serious frown on her face. She didn't have the ability to cry, but I bet she wanted to.

"I'm....I'm so sorry I didn't come back with groceries."

"Never mind about that! What happened!? Why are you like this?!"

"I was walking back with the groceries, until I found a stray cat. I felt bad for it, so I had decided to play and follow it to see where it led, hoping it wouldn't be too much of a detour and it led me to a fence. It climbed up the fence and hopped over to a windowsill."

"Oh no..."

"I leaned against the fence to watch it and I didn't see the twenty-eight meter drop into an alley below me. Before I knew it, the fencing broke and I fell all the way down. All of the groceries were ruined, and... so was I. I'm really sorry." I took a few seconds to think about what she just said. I decided to put it back for later and deal with the obvious.

I sighed. "Don't worry about the groceries, we can get more. Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"Oh, I'm alright. I didn't feel any pain. When I hit the ground, I just noticed a lot of damage on my body."

"Here, come in the garage with me. I'll fix you up." I made my way over to the door that led into the garage, QT walking behind me.

"Fix me up?" She tilted her head in question.

"I'm gonna repair you, as best as I can at least." I opened the door and flipped the light on. showing a half futuristic, half classic garage, with of course, no car. I sighed "Another day without a car....Get one eventually." I hopped down the 3 steps onto the garage floor and went over to the workbench. "Here." I patted on the bench. "Hop up."

She tried her best to get up, but she found it difficult without the use of her other arm, so I helped her out and got her up and sitting on the table.

"Alright, I'm going to start with your arm. Let me see it." She held out her left arm to me. Luckily her arm did not consist of bones. I snapped the joint back into place. "Can you move it?"

"Let me try." I watched her move her arm around as if nothing happened to it. "I can move it!"

"Do you know exactly what your skin is made of?"

"Oh, I believe its made mostly of silicon, though its laced with microfibers with a new rubber compound that's able to heal itself."

"So you're saying your cuts can close and heal itself?"

"I think so, but it will probably take a while."

"I see. Then that's good." I put some bandages on her arms and legs where the cuts were. It would help the healing process not get interrupted. I was just glad she didn't feel pain, cause this was definitely likely enough to kill a human. "I'm gonna have to pull out some pieces of metal and glass."

"Alright." I spent the next several minutes, pulling stuff out of her skin.

"You know, I wonder what this would feel like if I were to feel pain." She thought out loud.

"Believe me, the amount of hurt you would be in would be unquantifiable, QT."

"Oh, Jeez."

"Would you still want to be able to feel pain?" I asked her. She took a second to think about it.

"Yes. I feel like feeling having those sensations are necessary to make me more human. Plus, it will help me learn what I should and should not be around."

"You're right. It'll definitely help you with learning from mistakes on your own." A couple more minutes went by in silence. I was fixing up everything else that needed attention.

"Owner?"

"Yeah, QT?"

"You've been so patient with me ever since I learned how to use emotions, even now when you're fixing me up after I made a stupid mistake. You have been working so much and so hard on my receptors and yet you still have time to spend with me personally. You've been so nice, and caring, I feel like I can't really repay you."

"Don't worry about it. You being happy, makes me happy. Having someone to spend time with and talk to everyday is wonderful, and you've grown to be a wonderful person, too, QT." Her cheeks then had a bit of red as she beamed a smile at me. "You wanna know something?"

"Sure!"

"I've never told my parents about altering your A.I. to feel emotions." I stopped what I was doing to look up at her.

"You.. haven't?"

"No. I thought that, if they were to make more androids that were similar to you, that you wouldn't be as special anymore. You're special to me, QT." She pondered and processed that statement for a moment, her face getting a bit flushed again.

"Thank you. You're very special to me, too. You mean....a lot to me, and I...appreciate everything you do."

"I'm.....glad to hear that." I then put the wires from her wrist back into her arm and fixed it up. After finishing. I put all my stuff away. "Alright, QT. That should be it. Take it easy for a little while so your extremities can heal."

"Alright. I'm going to go into sleep mode for a little bit if that's okay."

"That's fine." She slowly got off the table and headed inside. I sighed and stayed in the garage for a few seconds to think about the exchange of words we just had.

...

...

It'd been several months since her big incident with the fall, and she's healed perfectly since then. I had finally finished her sensation receptors and implemented it into her A.I. as well as improve the nodes on her skin to work with said A.I.. So if she were to get cut, she would feel pain. It was almost the three year mark and I've accomplished so much with her. I could barely get her off my mind. I couldnt help but feel so happy around her.

I was sitting on the couch watching television and she was in the kitchen cooking up some midday lunch. I sighed out loud, thinking about her, wondering what she thought about me.

"You doing okay?" I heard her say, replying to the sigh.

"Yeah, I'm alright, your cooking is making me hungrier and hungrier though." I heard her giggle a little, which was pleasure to my ears. She was very awkward when she learned to laugh at things that were funny, but she's been getting better at it more recently, and it was nice to listen to.

"Well, it's almost finished. I'd like to ask you what you'd like to do after we finish our meal?"

"You want to do something with me?"

"Yes! I enjoy your company, so I thought maybe we could go do something together."

"Sure, we can go out and do something. Did you have a place in mind?"

"Oh, not particularly. That's why I wanted to ask you."

"Hmmm. Well, there's this hill we could walk up to. There's a bench at the top that has a view of the entire city."

"That sounds lovely."

"Sounds like a plan then." It took a few more minutes for lunch to be ready. She took a seat and I did the same. We sat opposite of each other. Now that I had thought about it, it wasn't as awkward as when we first ate together. It was completely different. We ate our food and dressed up for the occasion. Something comfortable and warm. "You ready to go?"

"Mhm!" She grinned. We walked outside, into the calm, but chilly air. It was nice. We started our walk to the destination. I was kind of excited, not just because I haven't been to that spot in a while, but because I would get to spend more time with QT. It took roughly thirty minutes to get to the spot we were headed to. Most of it was spent with small talk and pointing a couple things out. At this point, she was almost so natural, she could've been mistaken for just another person. It was astonishing.

We had finally arrived and it was breathtaking. I hadn't been up here in years. QT gasped.

"It's so pretty..."

"Yeah. It's prettier at night, but, this is nice too." I sat down on the bench and patted the seat. "Here, sit with me." I smiled to her.

"Alright." She grinned back, sitting down next to me. "I was wondering something, why did you end up naming me QT instead of something human-like?"

"Well, a couple of reasons actually. The primary reason was that you were cute, when I first saw you. I decided to name you QT, cause it sounded like the word Cutie. I also wanted something that felt natural, yet also unique."

"That's so nice.. Thank you. I cherish my name." We spent another couple minutes in silence, just taking in the view before she spoke up. "You know, I've been processing on a thought for a while now."

"Have you?"

"Yes. I've been thinking about the first time I met you, when I first came into your home. I thought you'd be just an ordinary person, someone to order me around, nothing special, but I was wrong, horribly wrong in fact. You're much more than ordinary. You're smart, sweet, and a very good person with a very kind heart. You turned me from... an emotionless robot... to an almost real person."

"QT..." Was she...

"Wait, Wait, let me finish. Oh gosh I'm actually doing this. You have given me something that androids could never even think to simulate. You've given me... happiness, what it means to have emotions and a real life almost, the ability to ponder choices more deeply. The fact that you've done so much, it means more than the world to me, you... you mean more than the world to me... To be true with you, you've been giving me, what I believe is love...and I... I...." She suddenly leaned forwards and our lips touched. It lasted a few seconds but... It was... indescribable. Her lips were soft, and... warm.. After we parted, I had noticed her face was in a blush, though mine was too. I couldnt say anything. "If... what I'm feeling right now.. is the same emotion of love.. then... owner, I love you... with all of my.... heart... though I guess I don't have a heart." She giggled, cutely, giving me the most perfect smile I could look at.

Love... She said... she loved me. I was a bit taken back from hearing that, but at the same time, with all the time we spent together, it made me feel like we were already a couple of some kind. I...

"I love you too, QT." Her eyes widened after I said that. "When I had first met you, I saw that you could be much more than you were. You could be a real person. I've seen you as a real person ever since. You've been there for me. When I was sick, busy with work, out of the house... You've helped me so much. Don't say you don't have a heart, cause you do. I promise you that, and that's something you should always remember."
