The SyFy channel has had a weird history in television. While mostly quiet nowadays with reruns, the channel used to be the epitome of "so bad it's good" movies. I mean they did make the masterpiece known as Sharknado and it's....five sequels....

But before Sharknado they had a plethora of B movie monster films that had a wide variety of monsters. From kinda enjoyable, to bad, and a lot of sharks in between. We can't talk about the SyFy channel monsters without talking about the original of cheesiness.

Sharktopus

Ah Sharktopus, if there was a poster child for SyFy's low budget film era, it was this guy. The entire concept is so damn stupid that is circles around back to being enjoyable. Funnily enough, this guy too had some sequels in the form of monster vs monster action. Pteracuda and Whalewolf I think. Those two are...something I tell ya.

Piranhaconda

I love how there was no explanation given as to why this thing was as gigantic as it was. The movie itself was so cheesy, every kill ended with just a poof of blood. There was one scene where the Piranhaconda literally dragged a helicopter down and Ngl, the cgi for that scene wasn't half bad. Also if I remember correctly there was like 3 of them in the movie.

Behemoth

Honestly I think we can consider this thing to be SyFy's best kaiju. A monster literally the size of a mountain, makes you wonder how this thing was even defeated in the end. I never saw it and sadly it's not really as talked about as the other goofy bastards on SyFy's resume.
