I entered Teach Her into the 2017 Wattys (I think) but it was always as just a kind of 'eh, why not?' thing - I never expected to win anything.

NOT that I'm expecting to win this year either, but I just wanted to let y'all know how I'm feeling as I fill out the forms to enter Blood Ink (and maybe Spark) into the 2019 Wattys.

So proud. 

You guys make me so frickin' proud.

There isn't a single book on here that I really feel is mine alone, because there are pieces of all of you in every chapter. Ideas that come from funny comments I see, and emotions I feel after reading through some of the hardships of your lives - the darkest, deepest emotions that you relate with. 

My stories aren't my stories - they're our stories.

And, no matter if we place in the Wattys or if they never even give our books a second glance, there's no limit to the pride I feel in being able to enter them. 

Blood Ink is about to be officially entered into the 2019 Watty Awards.

And it's because of you.
