||Secrets||
Tell me your deepest and darkest secret.•
______________________________________

Behind the small bookshelf filled with hundreds of various books and their tales that differed from book to book- was a secret passage. There behind were two huge gigantic walls ravishingly curved outwards, with no signs or writings stood before her. Only the soft glow of the chandelier was welcoming to her as she took her steps.

"Tip Tap"

The sound of her shoes made as she stepped on the dusty pathway.

Surprisingly the aura of the passage was warm, perhaps it was due to the chandeliers that also generated warmth. As she continued to walk along the pathway her soft, hands touched the castle walls as her eyes scanned each and everything that was in front of her.

Soon enough she found herself standing in front of a small, wooden door that looked as if it was a centuries old. The sides of the door were a lighter shade than the middle part. Staring at the door it had multiple scratches and a few cracks. She gently twisted the door nob until she had a clicking sound. She used all her might to push the heavy door open and squeezed herself inside.

There she stepped inside and was mesmerized by the view. Towering and towering of bookshelves stood, stretching further and further along with the darkness. A cold aura embraced her- along with a mixed scent of freshly new books and old parchment of books that must have been centuries old carrying history of eons and eons ago. A few dust particles danced in the deam, yellow light.

She found herself staring at a round oak table that was just a few meters away from the door she walked in through. As she sauntered closer to the table there she could see multiple of papers scattered around the table with a black pen on top a few papers. A small lamp hung on a wall near the table sending a soft, yellow glow light and from it she could clearly read the words on the papers.

Laurissa Annette McHill.

She read the name in her mind. She furrowed her eyebrows and gasped a little.

"Laurissa Annette McHill." She uttered the name out loud. "Where have I heard of this name before?" She spoke as she tried to reminisce the name.

"My mother's name." She spoke and grabbed to read the rest of the title.

"The Day Laurissa Annette McHill died. Written by Aesira McHill."

"Aesira what secrets are you burying?"

••••••••

"She's locked up in the castle dungeons. She's Laurissa and Dexy's only daughter."

"So The Queen was having an affair." The woman on the left spoke and the woman who held a lamp in her hand turned to face her.

"Indeed yes." She responded.

"Why did The King throw her in the dungeon instead of banishing her like the rest of us?" The woman on the right questioned her.
For a moment there was silence and only the sound of their silk shoes rubbing against the dusty particles filled the air.

"Because The King finds satisfaction in torturing her," the woman on the left spoke.

"But-," the woman was cut off before she could complete her sentence.

"Her veins flows the blood of an occultist, Annalisa." The woman spoke.

•••••••••

[Alethea's POV]

"The Day Laurissa Annette McHill died."

"As far as I have made multiple researchs. I have come to the conclusion that the murderer of Laurissa still roams freely within the castle grounds."

"I myself have no power of any sort to bring her death to justice. As far as I have known her personally she was always a brave soul, free spirited woman with a heart of gold. Outside she was having an affair with her ex-lover Dexy and therefore she indeed got pregnant. When The King found out about it. He was furious and that's when it all began."

•••••••••••

"The King agreed to take care of her and to never reveal this tragic secret. At the same time he ordered his men to find Dexy and execute him and a week after his body was found buried outside The Kingdown gates." The woman in the middle spoke.

"It was a great plan to blame the blood thirsty creatures that lay outside the outskirts of The Kingdom." The woman on the left side spoke and the woman in the middle turned to face her with a small smile appearing on her.

"Yes, Willow."

•••••••••

[Alethea's POV]

"Overtime The Queen's cheerful aura began to fade away and servants would often hear her sob in her chamber. Soon enough Laurissa began to dress herself in dark colored clothings. When her last born daughter Alethea was born Laurissa's mood had taken a change she seemed to be more cheerful and brightful. No one knew that behind those cheerful eyes was a troubled woman who was begging for help."

••••••••••

"Because the servants would often see her with multiple bruises and she would wear long sleeved clothing even in the scorching hot sun."

"When her daughter Alethea was 10... ."

"No way. Don't tell me."

•••••••••••

[Alethea's POV]

"He slashed her throat open and ordered the servants to quickly cover it all up. Laurissa's body was then buried within the castle grounds. Her daughter who was a result of an affair was then banished from the castle grounds. No one knows her whereabouts."

"So father killed mother."

•••••••••••

"I bet he murdered her." Willow spoke.

"Indeed. Gerald killed Laurissa Annette McHill."

The middle woman spoke and crouched down to place her palm on the ground.

"It's the right way. We are almost near. I can sense her aura."

"My guess is that he never once loved her," Annalisa spoke.

"That is true. According to the rumors he would force himself on her and at times she would be found with bruises on her."

The woman in the middle then halted and turned to face the other two women that stood an inch away from her.

"There's is doubt that she was buried, but instead her body was thrown away into the water that surrounds the castle-just like Dexy. He shares the same fate as her."

"So Ziven-"

"The King had to lie to the townsfolk people that she had taken a trip outside the outskirts of The Kingdom and was murdered by The Raiders."

The woman spoke and stopped in front of a small wooden door that stood in front of them. She exhaled loudly before she twisted the door nob-despite that there was no clicking sound that was made. She turned to nod at Willow who nodded back at her.

Willow lunged forward and stretched out her arms forward sending strong, powerful winds of chains that blew the door into millions of tiny pieces.

The fellow guards would were asleep seemed to groan in pain as their soft skins were dripping blood and the wooden chairs had been overturned along with the wooden table. The room had become soiled with yellow, liquid flowing on the floor and sending a strong sense of aura that greeted their nostrils.

"Who are you?" One of the guards questioned the three women as he stared at then in horror.

"We are your worst nightmare." A voice different from the other three uttered.

"It's good to see you Erem," the woman in the middle spoke with her hand placed on Erem's shoulder.

The guards trembled in fear and one rushed to grab his sword that laid on the marble floor next to him.

Erem chuckled and her eyes seemed to twinkle in the soft, deam light. She stretched her hand to lift the swords that rested on the ground as if an invisible hand was raising them.

"Witches," One of the guards mumbled in fear as he crawled back.

"This will hurt a lot," she uttered.

"Please I have a family and they depend on me." One of the guards pleaded. Erem smirked and commanded the swords to slash the guards' throats with just a movement of her hand.

"Cold," Annalisa spoke as she stared at the lifeless bodies that laid inches away.

"Let's make it quick and release her." Willow spoke as she rushed to open another wooden door that was inside the room.

There a cold, chill aura embraced them. The only source of illumination was a lamp with a very deam glow which was mounted on the castle dungeons' walls. The room had an unwelcoming scent which made the women to groan in disgust. The silence of the room was broken by the water droplets that echoed from a distance corner-a haunting reminder of the dungeons existence.

Erem crouched and slowly placed her hand on the cold, rusty steel bars. She could see a bony figure laying helpless on the ground with chains on her wrists. She could see that the prisoner's garments were torn beyond wear- her skin filled with red marks and spots.

"Who... are you... people," she tried to utter words without coughing in between.

Erem's lips then curved inwards.

"Your misery has come to an end." She spoke.
