We all Know the Struggle
So there is was, sitting in algebra class, right?
And what else strikes me but this:
My music is only playing out of one earbud!
One second I was rocking out to Roxy Music (silently, of course. There's a test going on.), then the next I realize my sound is completely off. The song I wanted to listen to was called Bogus Man, and it's this epic nine minute jam that completely utilizes The stereophonic sound, so it's fairly easy to see when your sound isn't working right. However, like any normal person, I didn't immediately overreact. So, I tried fiddling with the connecter, hoping I could get both channels to play nicely again. For a moment I did. However, I also realized that I couldn't move my finger from the connector or else it would go back to playing out of one channel again.
Did I choose perfect sound quality over full range of motion?
You bet I did.
However, I thought to myself, "Hmm, maybe if I Jimmy-rig this just right, I can get it to play out of both channels without having to keep my finger in place!"
Did that work?
Of course it didn't.
So, I ended up desperately trying to get the sound back at all as now the sound wasn't playing out of either channel. The sound keep flipping in and out in both earbuds until finally:
They fricking broke. They just broke, right then and there! I tried borrowing a pair of earbuds from someone else, but no one has a spare. Now I'm again sitting here in class, unable to listen to my epic music for the rest of the day.
The moral of this story?
If you manage to get a broken pair of earbuds to work properly again, don't mess around with them any more.
