So, I came up with an idea for a a tag in which you tell a story of your time on Wattpad:

Rules:
1. You must copy and paste/ screenshot the rules.
2. You will tell a story answering some of all of the following questions:
Why did you join Wattpad?
What was your first book, why did you want to write it?
How has your writing/ what you've written about changed since you've been on here?

I joined Wattpad, oddly enough, because I was tracking down X Men fanfic (I'm long since over that fandom, though). So, I realized I would actually have to sign up if I wanted to read anything. I did, and sure enough I found some. Now, at the time I had kind of fallen away from the classic rock fandom, but I rapidly got back in it once I was on here.

Now, my first book was Classic Rock High School AU, which I only recently revived writing. (Shameless self promo) Anyways, I wanted to write it because the idea just kind of struck me to characterize all of the great classic rockers as high school students. The possibilities seemed endless. Initially, I kind of gave up on it after a couple weeks... Then, I started writing it again because I realized it actually was a fun story worthy of being continued.

My writing is much less cringeworthy. My first non AU fanfic was such a obvious author insert fic. Don't try to find it, it's long since deleted, and that sucker is never coming back! Anyways, I feel like I've become much better in general at writing.

This last part makes me a little sad, actually. When I first joined, I was in the middle of getting into the progressive rock sub genre of rock. After a couple weeks, I ended up writing a book completely devoted to talking about prog. In the process, I found several other prog fans, and I discovered there is a subsection of the classic rock fandom called the prog squad to which we all belonged. A lot of my early writing was completely devoted to it. Sadly, a lot of my fellow prog fans slowly but surely ended up not going on here any more, and I think I'm the last of them that still regularly updates. I kind of miss some of the people I used to regular correspond with on here. However, I also have gotten some new interests in classic rock, so I've made some new friends! (You know who you are!❤️). So, I guess it all worked out.
