In a previous rant, I mentioned how the Who was the first band I fell head over heels in love with.

Now, I will make one thing clear, I have given up on saying what my favorite band ever is. Currently I'm probably up to six or seven favorite bands ever. However, for me, the Who gets a special distinction as being the first one. I don't like them more then other bands, they are just one of my favorites, and also the first one. Therefore, I will make a list of the reasons why I am in love with this band.

1. The beautiful concept albums!
Albums like Tommy, Quadrophenia, and Who Sell Out introduced me to concept albums, and really made me love the ideas. Frankly, except for Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Tommy may be one of the most deep concept albums in the way of the concept itself.

2. Pete's guitar
Pete is my favorite guitarist. I will leave it at that.

3. Roger's voice
In my opinion, Roger is second only to Freddie Mercury in terms of rock vocalists. Note, this is my opinion!

4. John's bass
Do I even need to explain this one?

5. Keith's drumming
Best Keith Moon style drummer ever.

6. The Songs
When I hear a song like I'm one or Cut My Hair, the lyrics hit me so hard. I mean, the album Quadrophenia is basically my life as an outsider. However, it makes me feel good in my own skin.

7. The Live Shows
The Who are so amazing live, speaking from experience. Seriously, when you watch an old performance, you are just in awe.

8. They are Amusing
They just are. Go watch them on the Smothers Brothers. It is hilarious.

9. They are just so perfect
They just are. Really, they just are.
