Something I've observed. I have noticed from personal experience that if asked what your favorite band member of one band is, you may be chill like:

Oh yeah, my favorite is.....

Yet for others is like:

How dare you ask me the forbidden question?

Like, if asked my favorite member of the Beatles, I would probably just give you a look. If asked my favorite member of the Who, I'd be more like:

Omg! Pete, Pete, PETE! Can I ramble on for the next two hours on how he is my spirit animal?

Okay so I'll break this down:
Bands I lack a favorite member in:
The Beatles
Queen
Zeppelin
Rush
U2
Chicago
The Yardbirds
Bands I definitely have a favorite:
Pink Floyd (Syd)
The Who (Pete)
The Kinks (Ray)
The Zombies (Rod)
The Police (Sting)
The Doors (Ray)
Genesis (Peter, or maybe Tony. Curses.)

See, this is why solo artists are brilliant. They don't make you try and pick favorites!
