A great start to a great band. Much like My Generation, the Police's first album had such a raw energy that is really something to behold.

The thing about the Police's sophomore album is that even though it sheds a lot of the pure punkiness of the first album, there is an epic refinement with further inclusion of the reggae influences.

The thing about this album is that it is just one great song after another. Either the tracks are classic radio friendly tunes like De Do Do Do De Da Da Da (I hate typing that out!) or a more mesmerizing track like Behind My Camel, it's all great.

Ghost in the Machine
9/10

This is the point where the Police begin to go from slightly dark to kind of emo. Somehow, it really worked. This album definitely was the most sonically rich thing they had done yet.

Synchronicity

This album finalizes everything that had come before it into this awesome blend of all sorts of influences. Honestly, it's one of the best albums ever.
