chapter 2: The plan

Jes's POV

Walking down the stairs after meeting Bible, I head to the kitchen and check if the breakfast is prepared.

"Aunty, is breakfast ready?" I call the cooking lady.

"Ah, yes. You're Jes, right? Sir Bible's bodyguard. I'm already informed about it. My name is Seema." The middle aged lady says with a smile.

"Yes. Nice to meet you." I greet her with a nod.

"About your previous question, yes, breakfast is ready. Do you want to eat?" She queries.

"No, not for me." I already had my breakfast before leaving my house, "sir Bible will get down in a while."

"Oh! Him? That boy don't usually eat breakfast." She replies with a sigh.

"Why?" I question confused.

"No one knows. I have a hinch that maybe because of his father. Previously they used to eat together and head master would scold or shout at sir Bible all the time for one thing or another. After a while, sir Bible stopped attending breakfast table. I guess it's because head master scolds him so he didn't come after that." She explains her version which might as well be very true.

"Okay," I say and continue, "arrange a plate of whatever is cooked for breakfast today and a glass of orange juice. Thank you."

She looks at me confused but shrugs and goes to make a plate. A minute later, she hands me a glass of orange juice and a plate filled with breakfast. I take it from her while uttering a thank you and head to dining table as I set them down. Walking back to the living room, I wait for Bible.

My mind wanders as I think about how to put my plan in actions. Is Bible really the right person to use in order to revenge his father? Because it seems like they already have a bad relationship between them. But again I have no other option and he's the only choice. I have to bring his father down and expose all his illegal businesses. To outside world, Bible's father is a great businessman and runs an import export business but I know all the illegal events he does. And he killed my parents who were police and were trying to catch him. I can't let him roam free when he not only involved in illegal actions but also killed my parents. They were just serving justice. What crime did they commite to die in hands of person like Bible's father?

This is why I willingly joined to work as a bodyguard to Bible, by using him I'll avenge his father.

I was a child when I lost my parents and my grandma brought me up. As a child I didn't know about the incident but when I grew up, my grandma accidentally blured out how my parents were killed. After college, I joined in military voluntarily to gain strength and to learn about weapons, to know how to use them so that when I plan my revenge I'll be in a place where I can fight against them. I gained enough experience and left military not just for my grandma but to put my plan in actions. And that's when this opportunity knocked my doorbell.

My friend, Job, who works for Bible's father company came to me saying he can provide me a job as I just left military and have no job in hand. I felt that was a great opportunity. It was like the fruit landed in my hands even before I tried for it. Job doesn't know anything and his help was friendly. I agreed to him and my military experience helped me. It was a plus point and they recruited me immediately thinking I can protect Bible well with my experience.

Protection, I don't but revenge I will.

This might be low of me to think to use Bible for my plan but I have no other choice either. And regardless, Bible is still the part of the family.

Pitter patter of steps stops me from my thoughts and I look up to find Bible walking down the stairs slowly. He looks fresh and clean after his bathe. Previously, when I saw him upstairs, he was still in his night clothes and looked moody, like a grumpy cat but now he looks good. He was good back then too, I'm not going to complain about his looks either way.

"Come here, sir." I call him as I show my hand towards the dining table.

"What is it?" He queries confused but still follows me.

"Breakfast is ready." I show him the food.

"Oh! I don't eat breakfast. " He waves his hand in the air.

"You shouldn't be skipping your meals, sir." I warn him, my voice a little stern.

One of the important things I learned in military is the importance of food for our body.

"Are you my bodyguard or a doctor?" He asks furiously, "and what's with that tone of yours? It's just day 1 and you're already talking that way with me?"

"I'm sorry, sir," I apologize immediately, "but please have your breakfast. It's not good for your health to skip food. Other things can wait."

I request him as I pull a chair out for him. He thinks for a minute and I wait patiently. With a sigh, he settles himself on the chair and a smile pull out my lips. Atleast he isn't recluent and listened to me easily.

"Fine. I'm agreeing only because you're forcing me. It's rather better than fighting with you." He mumbles and starts eating his breakfast.

I stand a little beside him and watch him eat. He slowly eats his food and it's understandable since he stopped it a while ago. To get into the habit of eating early morning takes time. So I wait patiently for him.

"Can I have apple juice from tomorrow? I prefer it over orange juice." He turns his head and with a pout requests like a child as he looks up at me.

"Sure. I'll arrange it according to your interest, sir." I nod at him.

"Thank you." He thanks me, a smile resting on his face for a second before he went back to his stern look.

He then finishes his food and gets up as he walks to the living room. I follow him while aunt Seema cleans the table.

"What is your plan for the day, sir?" I ask him, not bringing up that his father said Bible has no fixed schedule since he roams aimlessly. Saying that to him might hurt him.

"I need to get my bike redone." He replies and starts walking out.

I follow him again after a silent nod. He has his bike parked in the garage. He grabs the helmet and puts it on before getting on the bike. I get behind him which starlted him as he turns around immediately and takes his helmet out.

"W-what are you doing?" He shutters as he calls me out.

"I'll be going with you, sir." He reply in a duh tone.

Isn't already obvious that it my duty to follow him around?

"That I know but don't you have your own vehicle? A car or a bike?" He resorts back.

"No, sir." I shake my head no.

"Get down." He says with a sigh.

And I do as he said while he goes and brings another helmet, holding it to me, "here, wear this. We can't go without helmet. Safety first."

I take the helmet from him and put it on before getting on the bike again. If I knew how to ride a bike, I would have offered my help but I don't so I sit behind. He starts the bike with a roar and pulls off, heading straight. I get taken back and hold onto his shoulders immediately. Bike rides are scary. He drives fast but smooth and after a while we arrive at the showroom. He stops and I get off, followed by him. We remove our helmets and then he turns to me.

"I'll go and talk to the person. Wait here." He says.

"Okay, sir." I agree since it's a small thing and I don't think he's going to pull a fight here.

He walks away and I sit on a chair as I wait for him. Pulling put my phone, I call my grandma to know what's she doing.

"Hello, grandma." I say in the phone.

"Jes. How is your work?" She asks me from the otherside.

"It's good." I answer, "I called to know about you? How are you feeling? Are you fine?"

"Oh! Jes. I'm fine. Don't worry about me." She says with a laugh.

"WHAT THE HELL? AM I A JOKE TO YOU?"

Before I could talk further, I hear Bible shouting from inside.

"Grandma, I'll call you later." I hang up the call after hearing an okay from her.

Hurring inside, I see Bible pulling a guy by his coller and shouting on his face. Running to them, I pull him away from the guy and separate them.

Well I guessed wrong but how can he even put up a fight here?
