Aanabia was excited the entire afternoon. She had seen the most beautiful human today and he was just so praiseworthy and handsome and beautiful that Aanabia could not forget him, even for a second. She could not get his gray eyes out of her mind. He was tall, about 6 foot something, was tanned and he had long hair that was tied in a bun. Above all, he had amazing beard that was neatly cut. She couldn't wait to tell Nahal. She had reached home by 5pm and as soon as she entered, her mother bestowed her with the news of their neighbors coming over for dinner. The two sisters had to help their mother with the preparation, even if it was just with the desserts.

Nahal Sadaf looked very much like their mother, bright onyx eyes and dark chocolate brown hair. The similar cheekbone and dimpled smile. She was tall and thin like the mother.

Aanabia on the other hand, was taller than the two women with a lean build. She had dark brown hair and similar onyx eyes with hints of golden in them. Her mother usually told her it was like that of a wolf. She did not have a two dimpled smile, rather one and that was on her right cheek. She loved the flaw though.

"I saw the most handsome creature today" gushed Aanabia, when the two finally got time after Magrib in the study. She was reading while Nahal was drawing. Nahal looked up from her drawing to Aanabia. Her sister always saw beautiful creatures around her, mostly in drama's.

"So who is it this time?" she asked, raising an eyebrow and leaning forward. The dim lights made it easier for Nahal to focus on her older sister.

"Yazdan. He happened to be the brother of one of my students. Well, not exactly my student since he is a sophomore student and I don't teach Sophomore. He just needed help." explained Aanabia dreamily. The guy was beautiful. She snapped out of her trance and grinned at her sister.

"He was so beautiful that it reminded me of poetry" she winked and Nahal let out a small laugh. At least he was real, thought Nahal.

"Poetry?"

"Yes! Poetry. Oh Nahal, I swear I have never laid eyes upon such beauty before"

"Okay now, I don't want to hear it. But how did he look?"

"He had gray eyes"

"Marry him"

Aanabia stared at her little sister in astonishment before the two burst out laughing. Nahal sobered up and upon seeing it, Aanabia did too.

"So how was your day?" asked Aanabia and Nahal frowned. She pulled the stray strands of her hair and let it go, watching it twirl back and forth infront of her face.

"Everything was fine in the morning. I prepared for my 3pm meeting with the CEO over the new project that we are taking. So I went to the coffee shop to get myself coffee before heading to the meeting. I was running late already and you know I cannot do without coffee" Nahal began the re-telling of the afternoon incidents. "So I was running to the elevators before it closed and bumped into this tall person and all the coffee spilled over him. I wasn't at fault, he should have seen me coming. I didn't apologize and you know the stress that I take for every little thing. I was stressed over the meeting with the CEO and I just..... yelled at him and walked away"

"So you feel sorry for yelling at some stranger that you spilled coffee on?" asked Aanabia, pushing her specs over her nose.

"Of course not. Okay maybe yes. I was. That was until I entered the meeting. Turned out the person I slapped was my CEO"

"You slapped a person?" blurted out Aanabia and Nahal let out a sigh.

"Did I stutter?"

"You are fired, aren't you?" asked Aanabia, throwing her hands in the air. "You worked so hard for a place in this company and now you went on and got yourself fired! Are you crazy?! How did you not know he was your CEO?!"

Nahal let out a frustrated sigh.

"I didn't know! No one told me and there is nothing about him on the internet save for the written stuff. He stays out of media. Or at least that is what I know" replied Nahal, crossing her hands over her chest.

"You going to tell mom you are fired?"

"I am not fired, Aapa" she muttered and Aanabia let out a sigh of relief.

"That is nice, at least. Did you apologize?"

"No. And I don't intend to"

"And why are you sure that he won't fire you?"

Nahal smirked.

"I am the head of the designing team for his project with Ibrahim Corp." she replied and Aanabia rolled her eyes.

"If I were you, I would not be that confident. Apologize and settle things. You cannot afford to let all your hard work go away like this"

"I know, Aapa. I know."

"Girls!!" their mother's voice filled the room and the two girls grinned at each other. The neighbors were here. The two stood up and checked their appearance before walking of the study and down the steps, basically racing like children.

Aanabia set her dupatta over her head as she stood by the stairs beside Nahal, grinning at her.

"As salaam Alaikum" they said in unison, turning to their guests.

Bright onyx eyes met gray ones and her eyes widened. Yazdan. She turned to her sister who was busy gawking; openly, at the person beside Yazdan.

"Wa alaikum mus salaam!" the voice of another woman cut the two from their trance and they looked over to the woman seated beside their mother.

"Girls, this is our neighbor, Zaiha Aunt" introduced Hifzah and the girls smiled before walking over to her.

"This is my oldest daughter, Aanabia and the youngest one, Nahal" said Hifzah and Zaiha grinned at them.

"You look so much similar that people would mistake you to be sisters" complimented Zaiha and Hifzah let out a small laugh. Nahal turned to her mother and smiled forcefully.

"Ammi, shall we get the tea?" asked Nahal and Hifzah nodded. Zaiha held her hand up.

"Wait-" she said, before turning to the boys. "-Help the girls with this" Nahal's eyes widened like that of saucers before she vigorously shook her head.

"It just two trays, Aunt. It is fine" she said, nudging Aanabia to tell her that it was fine. Aanabia caught on that her sister was nervous so she shook her head.

"It is fine Aunt" she added reassuringly and Zaiha nodded.

The two girls turned and walked towards the kitchen leaving a very confused Zul, an annoyed Yahyah and an even more confused Yazdan behind. The mothers were oblivious to whatever had occurred just a few moments ago.

Nahal heaved a deep sigh and leaned onto the kitchen sink.

"The guy with tanned skin and a man bun was him" said Aanabia, grinning at Nahal. Her sister, on the other hand, did not seem so enthralled over the two men in the living room.

"What is it?" asked Aanabia, picking up the tea kettle from the stove. "-Set the cups"

Nahal took out 8 cups and placed them on a large tray and turned to the large fridge that stood by the door. She opened it and leaned down to take out the brownies and cake that was there. Coincidentally, she looked up from the open fridge door towards the living room and caught dark eyes of the CEO. She panicked and soon, the precious chocolate cake was on the floor with a thud.

Aanabia rushed over to her to see what had occurred.

"You dropped my precious choc cake?!" she asked Nahal who was busy picking up the, now scattered, chocolate cake. Aanabia rolled her eyes and set on the floor, picking up the mess. The two mothers rushed into the kitchen just then and Hifzah let out a sigh.

"One day, One day I tell you two to get something from the kitchen and this is what you two do" she muttered and Zaiha shook her head.

"It is fine, Hifzah. They are still young. Must have been a mistake" she said before walking into the kitchen. Hifzah followed in and helped with the broken ceramic that was on the floor.

"So that choc cake is down. What else we got?" jested Zaiha and Aanabia chuckled, pulling out brownies from the fridge. The door hit the forehead of Nahal who whined.

"Not sorry" muttered Aanabia before walking over to the counter.

"I am glad I did not ask you two to fry the samosa's and the pakora's or the cutlets. Allah knows what you two would have done" said Hifzah, pulling the three large clear containers with the said items from the side of the counter.

She placed them on the plates and Zaiha helped with it. Aanabia heaved a sigh and walked out of the kitchen to the laundry to get the mop. Obviously she had to pass the living room. She looked over to the gray eyed human seated there and smiled when she saw the three boys were engrossed in some game playing on TV. While watching him, she ran into the closed door of the laundry room with a bang. She let out a groan and rubbed her sore forehead as the mothers and Nahal rushed out of the kitchen to her.

"You hit your head?" asked Hifzah and Aanabia nodded, rubbing it. There was a small laugh and she looked up to see Zul sobering up. She flushed red in embarrassment but then remembered she was Aanabia Sadaf. So she stopped. Well, she tried too.

"Allah Allah. Is this you two's clumsy day or something?" asked Hifzah, as the two daughters of her stood by the (now open) laundry door with their heads down.

"Hifzah. They must be stressed. Leave it. At least they didn't hurt themselves" said Zaiha and the girls simply nodded.

"Nahal, get her an ice and clean those cuts on your fingers" said Hifzah, walking back into the kitchen and Zaiha followed her.

"Come here" she pulled the two girls by their hands to the fridge. She gave Aanabia an ice to keep on her forehead and asked for first aid from her. Aanabia pointed it to the top shelf. Since neither of them could reach it, Zaiha called out to her taller sons.

"YAHYAH! YAZDAN!" The two boys were in front of her in seconds. Aanabia looked at Yazdan with a small smile. He was even more handsome up close.

"Which one of you can reach that?" she said and Yazdan shrugged while Yahyah rolled his eyes. Yazdan was taller but there was no way he was doing it so Yahyah leaped up and took out the first aid kit, handing it over to her. Without realizing that he leaping up close beside Nahal, he managed to topple the girl over towards the fridge. Again.

This day just wasn't meant for the girls.
