14| Confessions
I think y'all know what this chapter is leading up to, right? Ah, well, here it is. Hope you enjoy this one.
---
Just as he was instructed, Y/N waited for a few days, avoiding the blueish-haired girl. Yuzuru said he would speak to his cousin about speaking to Y/N, and honestly, Y/N was nervous.
He wasn't sure what Saki was going to think. He wasn't even sure whether she'll actually accept the idea of speaking to him. For now, all he could really do was wait and until Yuzuru could come and give him her response.
It was now near the end of the day, nothing particular going on with the school. All though he had to shove Chelsea off of him for almost fifteen million times, at this point, Y/N has lost count how many times he has to do this, he was finally able to send her off to her home. He opened his locker and took out his outdoor shoes, slipping off his indoor shoes and putting it in the locker.
Once he put on his outdoor shoes, he turned to the doorway. It wasn't until the Lone Prince of Sobu grabbed his shoulder.
"Y-Yeah?"
"She's waiting at the top of the school. Better hurry before she changes her mind."
"W-Wait, you're serious?" Y/N asked, almost in disbelief.
Yuzuru looks at him annoyed. "Why would I lie? Well? What are you standing around here, anyway? Go get her, dumbass."
"U-Uh, right. Th-Thanks again!"
"Thank me when you actually tell me the good news. Get out of here already."
Y/N nodded gratefully, him hurrying off up the steps to get to the roof. Yuzuru scoffed with a smile.
For as long as he knew, Saki was always disinterested in these types of things. She always told him when they were younger that she wouldn't find someone. And yet, she has.
He could only that Y/N would be the person that granted Saki the happiness she said she would never get.
---
Y/N was rushing up the steps to get to the roof. The steps to the roof was mainly known by the girls, but Y/N has seen some people go up the central stairs to get to the roof.
He then opened the door, the orange light from the horizon covering his eyes momentarily before they adjusted. His eyes then widen. There she stood.
Her blueish hair flowing with the gentle wind, her pigeon blue gaze cast onto the setting sun. The beauty Saki held was something he would never get tired seeing. She's just as beautiful as the day he had just first seen her.
Saki had heard the metal door to the roof being forced open, her turning her head as she sees Y/N standing there, him completely in awe about her appearance. Just seeing his gaze made her a bit flustered, but she still couldn't shake the scene of the Shiozaki boy being kissed by his former girlfriend. Refusing to put on an angry face, or a different face for what she's actually thinking, she puts on an annoyed face instead.
"So? What do want?"
"I-I, um... I..." Y/N stutters out.
"You gonna say something or what? I've got somewhere to be." Saki says, losing a bit of her patience.
Y/N bit his lip. What was he going to say? Saying, "I love you," was just too blunt. He wanted it to be meaningful.
He looked down, clenching his hands, dropping his bag onto the side next to him. He was reciting what he wanted to say in his head. But from what it looked like to Saki, it just looked like Y/N was just standing there.
She sighed out of annoyance, grabbing her bag as she begins to head for the door.
"If you have nothing to say, I'm leaving."
"Wait."
Just as she was about to walk past him, Y/N had grabbed her wrist, forcing her to look at him. He took a few deep breaths, him slowly looking up as he meets her eyes. They were filled with curiousness, as well as a pleading look. She wanted to desperately know what he was going to say. What he wants to say.
Once again, he took another deep breath.
"I-I... I know, I hurt you in a way that can't be described by words. But I can assure you, I don't feel that way for her anymore. Maybe in the past, I once did. But she broke the promise that she and I made all those years ago. And..." Y/N sighed before he continued. "Dammit. This...this is a bit hard to say."
"Will you get to the damn point already?" Saki demanded.
"L-Look, the point I'm trying to say is... I like you. A lot. When I first met you, I was captivated by the beauty you held. You were beautiful than any other girl that I've ever met."
Saki deadpanned. "That's kinda cliche."
"I-I'm not done yet."
Y/N cleared his throat.
"After a few days from our initial meeting, I wanted to get to know you a bit more. I admired the way you put your family, your siblings first before your own needs. It... It reminded me of myself. My dad wasn't around a lot because of his job, and I don't blame him. Mom would stay home for a late night shift, so it was up to me to take care of my sister. I started working when I was ten, going around my neighbors to do chores for them. Whether it was to walk their dogs or mow their lawn, it was just to make sure my sister could live the best. Better than me, anyway. And then I got to see different sides of you. Your stubborn side, your shyness, embarrassed looks, a lot of things that I wouldn't expect from you."
As Y/N kept talking, mostly how he fell in love with her personality, Saki was shocked. She was sure that no boy would be captivated by her of all people.
If anything, she looked to be like an ordinary girl. And that's what she was. The most defining feature that people could describe about her was her and her family being related to one of the most influential families in Chiba.
And yet, here Y/N is, talking about what he loved most about her. Aside from her looks, he genuinely did love the personality had. A caring, and kind personality paired up with the fact of how hard working she is, Y/N admired her a lot.
"Th-That's about it... I-I guess you could say that's my confession," Y/N says, nervousness in his voice.
Saki then spoke in a low voice. "...How do I know it isn't a damn lie?"
"H-Huh?"
Y/N was taken aback slightly. Although, at the same time, he also wasn't surprised by her response. Days ago, Saki had literally witnessed him kissing his ex-girlfriend, so she still held some belief that they are still together.
And so she still had doubts about his claim about them not being together. When Saki looked up, Y/N could see tears were just waiting to come out, a look of hurt in her eyes.
"How do I know that what you said isn't an act? How do I know that Chelsea girl didn't set you up to this and embarrass me? ...How do I know that your feelings isn't a lie? How do I know whether it's genuine and is directed towards me?"
The tears that she kept in her eyes now began to leave, the blueish-haired girl looking down. Seeing her cry did upset him a bit. He didn't want to see her cry. He wants to see her happy, and that's all that mattered to him at the moment.
He grabbed her chin and had her face him. A small smile was planted on his face as she grew confused.
"You want to know whether my feelings for you are genuine, right? I'll show you."
And in one quick motion, her eyes had widened. Saki felt something soft placed upon her lips, two arms being wrapped around her waist. He kissed her.
She slowly moved her own hands to the front of his blazer, grabbing it and preparing to push him away. And yet, she didn't want to. She instead continued to hold onto the front of his school uniform's blazer tightly, their lips still locked into a kiss as Saki closed her eyes.
A plethora of emotions was running through her. But she mostly felt happiness and joy. This is what she wanted. To experience this kind of love with someone.
Seconds later, they released their kiss, Saki's face now filled with a blush as he cheeks were red. Y/N ran a thumb across her cheek, wiping away some of her tears.
"Does that answer satisfy you? Is it enough to tell you how much I like you?" Y/N asked.
Saki was panting slightly, not giving an answer. Instead, she simply replied by putting both her hands on either side of Y/N's head, pulling his head down to her level. And once again, their lips joined together as they kissed one more time.
Y/N pulled her body closer to his as Saki held onto him much longer, their kiss lasting for several more seconds. They enjoyed this feeling, the one they were feeling together. Saki could feel Y/N's tongue moving forward, touching her bottom lip, asking for permission to enter. Even though this was her first time doing this, she obliged and opened her mouth slightly, letting Y/N's tongue enter.
She let him take the lead as their tongues danced in Saki's mouth, the blueish-haired girl letting out a small gasp from the initial contact. But she let it happen and let it continue. She felt oddly safe in his embrace, in his touch. They released their kiss, Saki's face still burning red from the heat rushing to her face. She had just shared her first kiss with the boy she liked. She then buried her face into his chest in order to hide her embarrassed look.
Y/N chuckled. "What's the matter? Embarrassed already?"
"Stop talking," Saki muttered.
"Yes, ma'am."
They stayed in that embrace for a moment longer, Saki continuing to clutch on tighter onto his school uniform's blazer. She could already imagine the smug grin on Y/N's face right now.
But she was happy. Happy that he also returned the same feelings that she was feeling as well.
---
She saw everything. She knew that girl was coming in the direction of Y/N's house that day. She had been watching the two for quite a while.
And she had felt suspicious of why Y/N kept shaking her off the whole day, so she decided to play along for now before she started to follow her. She could tell that Saki liked the Shiozaki boy, considering she had been watching her behavior for quite a while.
Her first plan was to shatter or sever the current bond Y/N and Saki had with each other. And yet despite her planning, it only made their bond for each other stronger.
Chelsea clicked her tongue in annoyance as she went down the central staircase. On the way out of the school gate, Chelsea had reeled her foot back and kicked a trash can over, causing it tumble down onto the floor. As she walked back to her apartment, Chelsea kept biting on her nail.
All she was doing now was planning. Planning on how to make their lives a living hell.
